hehe. before dreadnought some french officers actually wanted to get rid of battleships and replace them with fleet of torpedo boats but you based their ineffectivness on their short range and slow speed and that was not the case their aiming could be completely identical with current one (if we can skip possibility of more than 90 degrees turn) ...but there are more deviations from reality in this game...pretty much in every aspect but as i said i am not for implementing them in the game just becouse dds would lost their edge on battleships.

since battle of lissa naval tacticians stubbornly believed in close fights between battleships. dreadnoughts with their long range guns put an end to these speculations but we have completely different situation in wows. im not saying that submerged tubes should be in game. i just dont like the omnipresent reply to their existence simple that they were ineffective...yes ineffective IRL becouse they were based on flawed assumption. but when enemy bb is nearly scratching your side you would love to have these 3km 27 knots torps Historynerd, on 12 May 2016 - 10:34 AM, said: And that's why I said in-game. ...and is there any problem implement gyro angled torpedos in game?

naval engagements had quite different pace than we are used to from wows

i know. i just dont like the myth that these bb torpedo tubes were useless. they were not. but since battle of tsushima no bbs were so close to each other to use them (except of bismarck execution by hms rodney)

torpedos had gyro angle setters so no need to aim them with the hull... and to their speed and range: bb torpedos were intended for close fight brawls - kind of a replacement for bow rams- so for this puprose they would be ok

indeed she's a clown...but what to do with her and other pre-dreadnoughts? there is mixed caliber problem - everyone think that she has great secondaries but you're wrong guys - 152mm were not secondaries but primaries....76mm were secondaries

naval guns had gyro stabilizers...but big waves should be in game eventually because cyclone without waves looks kinda weird
