Detonations are detrimental to the game

they just need proper animation to have really any meaning, because i think of them as immersion feature. but without the spectacle they are just annoying feature...however they should be in the game for sure
  2. there is nothing stupid about detonations, there is actually no mechanic involved i would say...they just need proper animation to have really any meaning, because i think of them as immersion feature. but without the spectacle they are just annoying feature

yay. buff for my albany edit: and for mikasa's fireworks too?...yum yum
  4. i was saying this right from the beginning...ramming mechanics really makes no sense. especially this: two ships scraping their hulls -> big boom

    One sided battles

when one side manages to concentrate firepower on critical points more effectively (intentionally or not) the things will resolve pretty decidedly no matter what...i wouldnt blame mm

i agree. now i think that the friant will be the youngest design on tier 3, right? with its ahead-time gun layout it will look even more out of place

    French cruiser next it seems

yeah. im not used to twin turrets for lower caliber guns so early. some other member wrote that friant is project 171 from 1919. so with duguay-trouin from 1922, it seems to me that french came up with the most modern gun layout on a light cruiser to that date. i had no idea edit: now i realize omaha had twin turrets too...but her layout doesnt look as modern as this. still i would prefer something more antique on t3. i think that the friant will be the youngest design on tier 3, right? with her ahead-time gun layout she will look even more out of place

well, duguay-trouin is from 1922 with same layout. i think it is the most modern gun layout to that date

ah...strange. its because im not used to twin turrets for lower caliber guns so early. wasnt the french the first one who designed them on light cruiser? edit: now i realize omaha had them too...but her layout doesnt look as modern as this

lets talk the french: another nail into dreadnaught coffin? friant looks way too modern for tier 3 imho. like 1930s. anyone knows what is this ship? definitely not the protected cruiser from 1893 EDIT: my ignorance...it seems that french didnt built light cruiser between 1899 and 1923...i had no idea. so the friant is probably some paper design

    Mutsu, New IJN premium Battleship

another minor detail i noticed is that mutsu's bow shape is a bit different than the nagatos...wiki says that their bows were elongated in 1927-30, however in game mutsu's bow is still bent a bit
