yeah. surely gneisenau's triple 380 turrets were a real thing for me until you enlightened me...geez can you please make for us another essay about quadruple or quintuple 380 turrets?
-
i play this game because i love naval history not necessarily because i want to win...i even bought mikasa i bet if bismarck ever detonates me in hood, that will be the most orgasmic experience i'll have in wows (i'm sooo weird) (...but wg needs to make proper detonation animation before they release her)
-
it is her beauty...even during her days she was treated like a crown jewel of the royal navy
-
triple 380 wasnt my idea, nor that the turrets were 280-380 interchangable nor that scharnhorsts were designed with 380 in mind...i was just talking about their nautical issues...you wanted to react to someone else probably

world of warships (but i must admit i'm not sure about its authenticity. im not sure how they were able to rearm the torpedos. there is not enough room to put it into the launcher)
-
well i think they were not. rather limited arch but traversable. thats of course in-game model since i wasnt able to find any photo. but as i wrote the exit holes indicates that mutsu torpedo launchers were able to traverse and hood's not. which means that mutsu's in-game arch is just the arc of the launcher with no torpedo gyroangling involved Unintentional_submarine, on 24 March 2017 - 03:05 PM, said: [EDIT] Yes of course Hood's were fixed. It was the standard. Even the ones on the American battleships of the day. yes i know that. my point is that we will see the fixed tubes for the very first time in the game. im simply curious how it will be implemented, because it raises questions. will it fire just straight? or will these have gyroangle? but if they introduce gyroangle there is a question why to have limited arcs on certain ships since every ww2 torpedo was equipped with gyroangle
-
i have never seen picture of hood's torpedo rooms (the ones above water) so i dont know if these launchers had same limited arc as mutsu's torpedos, however the shape of the exit holes indicates that hood's tubes were really fixed EDIT: found it...not travesable...so if they will be implemented, they will be the very first fixed torpedo tubes in the game
-
i thought that these were traversable
-
yeah. that brings some precedent questions for sure...

http://www.tvre.org/en/gyro-angled-torpedoes all of the hood's submerged tubes were removed before ww2, however the 4 remaining above-water tubes were still fixed - not traversable
-
what do you mean? well. the torpedos were equipped with gyroangle like on submarines so they should work the same...still im curious about their implementation
-
another topic to discuss: the torpedoes. she will be the first ship with fixed tubes
-
these are not naval enthusiasts
-
how can any navy enthusiast say that he didnt want hood?
-
good spot!...didnt notice
-
i believe she had that edit: found this info http://www.hmshood.com/hoodtoday/models/tips/hoodpaint.htm
-
i also like her plain-monochromatic-historical paint scheme...but im bit afraid that someone will complain about that he need some weird crap on her for his money and wg will comply
-
...so what will be in the tech tree?
-
wow nr.2 (the first one was kaga)
-
EDIT - because some people were really confused by my post: START OF THE JOKE -----> the exact reason why scharnhorst class would not handle additional weight was that their waterline was so high - with high waves the A turret was practiacally useless. so gneisenau's rearm to six 380 needed elongated bow for additional buoyancy. with nine 380 she would turn into monitor...but imagine that citadel protection END OF THE JOKE
