stefino_cz, on 07 January 2016 - 01:10 PM, said: xNOM4Dx: Thank's for defending me. Nice to see that there are more people who can accepted a fact that I'm a paper modeler. And one detail in the end...it is Tirpitz It's "beating my eye" like german naval fan True, true... sister ships despite that, in everything but the name. Same hull, same lines, totally awesome.

Just because he has got the skills to pay the bills and can create a photorealistic Bismarck model in a 3D suite, while also being able to print out the layout for this model he created and cut and glue it doesn't make him a cheater. It makes him an experienced modeller that you should try learning from, instead of slinging mud every chance you get.I am seriously fed up with people who can't handle experienced competitors and instead resort to belittling them or trying to nitpick to prove they cheat. And don't even dare to think I am teaming up with stephino to defend him: if he wants he can defend himself, and besides the point, his entry is still dangerous for me as well and will probably mean I will not win something. BUT people should give credit where credit is due, and the way he made his model is simply perfect. He has too much experience behind him and that shows.

Mate, not to sound negative or anything, but you kinda missed the date... too late to the party, sorry.

Cosseria, lovely job on that model. I had a jaw-dropping moment when I saw the deck details and the weathered look on the hull. And the base with the "seafoam", ooh, just dreamy. Had that been an entry for the competition, it would have been 1st place no questions asked.

Amen brother. This guy is on a rampage.

This thing is slowly but surely getting out of hand. H3llcaster, calm down man, I get that you feel threatened since the competition is really strong, but they have submitted entries that Wargaming may or may not qualify or disqualify, and you have submitted your entry that may or may not win. Everyone has done the most they can do. Whether "cheaters" (as you keep yelling on and on) win or lose, or whether you win, is COMPLETELY OUT OF YOUR GRASP and firmly within Wargaming's power. They will judge who gets what. Apart from that, be happy that you created something worth the effort, because it looks cool and there are plenty of lower tier prizes you can still gun for even if you don't score the top spot. The main point of this contest was to have fun creating your favourite war machine (or abominable monstrosity, as I did with my freaky trireme-castle-cannon hybrid). If all you get out of the whole situation is anger and frustration, perhaps you should re-evaluate why you decided to take part in this contest. Just sayin'. A happy new year, by the way. May all your plans and wishes come true in 2016.

Hello fellow captains and seawolves, and happy holidays to you all! My entry is going to be somewhat different. Behold: the HNS (Hellenic Navy Ship) Malakasa! Why the name "Malakasa", you would ask. Simple: I decided to arm my custom ship with two twin-gun turrets, which reminded me of the in-game Mikasa. Since I live in Greece I tried to find a name of a place ending in "-kasa" and came up with Malakasa (where the annual Rockwave Festival is held). In this ship design, aimed directly for the Funniest Creation category, I combined a little bit of everything. The main hull is a Greek trireme with the eyes at the bow, since I wanted to honor the history of my country. The armament of the two twin-gun turrets brings it in line with more modern designs to make it battle-worthy. The structure in the middle? Well, as most of you know, there is a place at the ship's bow which is called a "forecastle", so I figured, why not move it amidships and turn it into a real CASTLE, with walls and everything. So I did, and I decorated it with the World of Warships logo. The initial draft drawings were on some random pieces of paper, done by hand, but that couldn't simply be used to build the final model. I decided to drop them into a CAD suite and lay down some proper plans. Laying the plans down in CAD also gave me the ease to texture the ship before printing it and decorating it with the logo, putting on the wood and stone materials etc. (which is well within the contest rules). I printed everything on glossy paper to give it a nice shine, and got working on cutting, scoring and gluing. Some UHU glue to keep the turrets together. The "Castle"! The menacing eye. Also, PC mouse for size comparison, the model is pretty compact. Rolling and gluing the gun barrels. The project is starting to materialize. All done! Isn't she a belle? Close-up detail of the gun deck and the "castle" with the logo. So that's it! My proud entry for the grand contest. I hope you like it as much as I loved building it. Before everyone jumps on the trigger about me "cheating" or "cutting corners", I stuck to the rules about the base material being paper and glue being allowed. The CAD design of the paper layout and the texturing via the PC was not prohibited as far as I know. I have seen great entries so far and I would like to wish everyone the best of luck, since they worked more intensively than even Santa's helpers. Here's to you guys, all proud shipbuilders! Oh, and before I forget, I play on the EU server and my in-game nickname is xN0M4Dx.
