If you miss that "AIRCRAFT CARRIER DETECED" icon on the screen, and If you don't call your squadron back as soon as your hull got detected.. (or just in very short time If you are in an attack) that is a %100 gitgud problem as El2a said. have you played ranked recently? Same map, same spawn 10 battles in a row.. :) I keep remembering this..

last night in ranked.. in agame with 3 Cruisers + 3 DDs + CV we had an asashio.. He directly started to go for the CV because he said "That is the only thing I can do" Then I see his torps going into the direction of the Cruisers.. and asked.. you know that your torps cannot damage them right? and he responded... yeah, but may be they don't know that... Case closed... it is always the captain.. never the ship...

Yes there are more than 1 kagero hull based ships in the game which all of them can have 5.4km concealment. but I don't get the connection to this.. Because first, it is air concealment which matters for detecting a DD.. and for surprise attack, the important number is YOUR concealment on CV.. so lets say you have 13km concealment on your hull and 10km on your planes.. Basically when your hull get detected... it means there is a DD closer than 13 km to you.. since you have 2 DIFFERENT SOURCE OF DETECTION, you can triangulate easily where it is.. just spending 20 seconds top with your planes. 10 seconds for the direction it comes. (E-W) and another 10 for identifying the (N-S) vector. I still cannot see the surprise in this.. I'm sorry but really can't...

No it is not, but since MM is a very hot topic, and it usually revolves around 1 or 2 subject for years. In order to keep the forum tidy and clean and prevent the first page from the flood of MM topics with all the same arguments - counter arguments coming from %90 of same people, It has to be regulated. Like the general CV topic or like the suggestions topic...

disagree with what? the "aircraft carrier detected" icon when a DD comes into your concealment range? How can you disagree with that? you get an icon when your planes are detected, you get a different icon when your hull is detected. It only takes 10 seconds to find where that DD exactly when you know how to look into the minimap. Getting surprised by a DD IN OPEN WATER is practically impossible.
