nice idea, however when you open the can of warms called "transaction between players" It turns ugly faster than a black hole sucks a star. Real trade starts, then the game will be filled with "traders" It is bad.. trust me it is bad..

It is plain and simple, I find CV gameplay in randoms really really fun. Not in ranked or CB though. only In randoms. But first of all, I'm not a part of WG, said it before, we moderators are regular players who just happen to have a lot of time on their hands to spend in the forum. Thats all, we are no part of anyting other than volunteers. Another thing, I've never ever said CVs are fine, on the contrary, I've said it numerous times that they are fundamentally broken. They are broken on the basic desing level so it is impossible to balance them and find a solution to make both sides of the equation happy. Fundamentally, CVs are extorting their fun out of other peoples' misery :) Thats me being objective.

lets not forget that the long range AA is generally pathetic, the ships who like to cover each other should stay in a circle with a 4km dia. to be effective

As a CV lover, I fully agree this. I can have fun in CBs without playing CVs, but with CVs in some people really cannot have fun. The only dissappointment on my side is WG is actually not showing any signs of a remorse. Just as you've said, make a season without CVs. Odd tiers, tier 10 without a CV. Like one season on, one season off.. that way both you'll have a happier crowd and you'll get more data for your "How CVs effect the participation" in real.

I've asked for this change for years, but after all those years I guess I'm used to having them default, so I can't find the motivation to change them.. :)

And you are so naive that that is the main account of @CptBarney :) anyway on the subject, Some people can remember, that I was excited about CVs getting in to the CBs 2 seasons ago. I've said, please lets wait and see, lets not judge the book by its cover. Anway, third season, last night, It became so obvious... even on low leagues... there are 2 things, choking the fun out of CB.. 1) CV 2) Bow tanking / angling ruski meta... Basically its like this, both teams get their own cap, One of them gets the other cap, then they start tanking damage. the one with one cap then decides to push onto the offcap, Then it is a russian CA bow tanking each other fiesta... I'd really like to watch paint dry in most games... Can I take a salem? no bring your petro or stalingrad.. but how about my hindi? no, stalingrad or petro.. I can bring a IFHE henri to deal with them, no the CV will Wreck you behind there.. bring a stalingrad / petro, and stick to your buddy ship close to a cap... go go go!

You can always "report" posts or topics for being "offtopic" for that matter. But, try not to discuss moderation in posts too, since it is another form of rule violation in the forum.

That is really bad you are having that issue. It seems like a technicality from the system. most of our WG staff pinged, but let me add @Crysantos so may be we can fix things faster :)

smalland/halland same thing. How many somers did you see really? how about shima, kleber, daring, Z, haru, ?? It is not ONLY about CVs but mostly.. Where are the zaos, hindis, henris people played before the CV implemented, stalingrad implemented, petro implemented... The problem of the CBs is quite obvious: CV meta is Frustratingly boring for most of the players who participated for years. CV is not the sole responsible for this yes, but at least for %75 of it. It's a bigger issue than the CV in CB.. but since CV is the biggest competitior to make the CB boring.. they need to fix this first.. then we can talk about other ships making the CB as boring as ever been...

Yeah, it is always nice to see forumities on the battle field :) both teams were really bad If you ask me.. but my team took the throphy home for "The Worst team ever!" We tried mate we tried!! Your other teammate in tallin was funny though :) he tried to dodge the CV by mind games in the end!! "Don't come near me!!" yeah.. different battles :) can't remember but I guess I've lost both of them..

erm.. yes.. not maybe for the top 50.. but even in typhoon yes.. people would like to try their other loved ships instead of being forced into one meta. I'm not saying these ships would be better but I'm saying, CVs, especially for DD captains, taking away their all options. and that is not good for the game. While you want to include "one class of players" into the competitive meta, because you don't want them to be excluded, you are actively a excluding a much bigger class of players out of that meta. And refusing to see this for over 6 months is beyond my comprehension. Just remember mate, How pissed were you when your clan was in KoTS.. and you weren't because no CVs allowed. Now multiply that with thousands, then you can start to understand...

this... this is the biggest issue.. there were hardcore CB players who were DD mains.. They hate the game right now.. they want to play shima, gearing, YY, daring again in the CB.. They can't..

Petro really likes LM Midway DBs :) and they tend to hug an island.. so TBs are really nice to hug them back

He is trying to say, In a very blunt way, every country has its national holidays about WWI and WWII. WG, in my eyes, only trying include holidays / days from major players of the WWII. Because you cannot include every national holiday in game.
