oh boy you are so right! I can deal with bad players. Heck even I consider myself a below average one which means, I play bad on 7 out of 10, 2 good, 1 exceptional.. I can trust that bad player will TRY to do to win the game... will try to do his best! But I really cannot understand, people in a hipper literally sitting broadside against a yamato and a montana (yep I've seen that).. I mean sitting.. not going anywhere.. firing left to right, ordering people to do something in the chat, and next 10 seconds he got deleted and starts to accuse yamato captain for cheating... Or people try to torp in german cruisers from 15 kms away.. or constantly driving away from the cap, which If they went in, we would have won, and in the end they blame everyone for the loss while passing the cap and chasing a 1000 hp BB to the border. This is not bad, this has to be another definition, I sometimes really want to punch my monitor and If I were to be sure of that punch would be transferred to someone on the other side of the network, my backyard would look like HP junkyard!

dont get me wrong, I am just saying BBs are the most forgiving class. Don't get me wrong, I am not implying It is the easiest class to do good in it :) Doing good in any class requires a working brain somehow, and all we know that is in very short supply in WOWs community.

You are right about this. But the thing is, DD is probably the hardest class to play, with almost no chance to make a mistake. So, sniffing glue while commanding a ship may be ok when you are in a floating junk of metal with 16inch guns. but doing the same thing when you are at the bridge of a DD and distracted by a dead fly on the window with the unstoppable urge of licking it off, punishes you hardly! Most of my clan mates can attest to this sentence when I am playing a DD, "WHO THE FECK PUT THIS ISLAND HERE! oh god oh god oh god!" Anyway, When I play, especially my mino, I usually go just behind the DD at the start.. because no enemy DD expects a mino 8 km away just at the beginnging.. spot the DD, kill the DD, smoke up.. and run away.. 1 less DD 2 mins into the game.. horay!

Yugumo is the crown jewel of the IJN torp boat line.. really.. incredible ship. May be she is not for your style, or may be you need to play and learn more of her.. But she is absolutely a monster. After kagero, she is a definite upgrade in every aspect.... Yes playing IJN Torp Boat line is not an easy task in general.. but a very fun and exiting experience indeed.. But at this point, I would like to point out that, I love Dark souls frenchise too.. and love to play Dead space on insane difficulty! SHOOT THE LIMBS!! The topic derailed from the number of the DDs slightly. The thing is IMO, not the number of ships, (any typed) but the captains and combined number of working brain cells in them. People need to learn about all classes. Majority of the DD captains, like to die early. A gearing charging in a cap, against a Khaba and harugumo combined and asks me to help him in my shima. Then while inspecting his new orifice on the back province, cursing me on the chat for no support. likewise a lot of BB captains, while sitting 20km back from the cap, poking me to cap and spot and contest. I would love to.. but not before I see where that frekking Moskva and Wooster are... The thing is, I usually dont bother with people like this.. - Shima! go cap! Go spot! I bother with these.. - Shima, go C, I am behind you... Remember, DDs, don't need BB support mostly in early game.. we need cruiser support.. either radaring the enemy DD, blapping the DD we are spotting, or harrasing the enemy DDs support. ok, I missed the point :) Numbers are not that important. you can have 5 DD per game every game.. and it would be fun, If at least 3 of them knows what to do, how to do.. you can have 5 BBs per every game, and it would be fun, If they sit in mid range and blap things more constantly, If they get near to caps, etc etc... Number of the ships, unimportant, Number of idiots in both teams is the most important part.. regardless of the boats they drive.

Which part of random is not fair? How fair do you think the SBMM would be? but all before that, What do you mean by fair??? a lot of us as you can see OP, waiting for your definition for "FAIR" Because frankly, I have suspicions that you have no idea what fair is..

Cheers for the praise mate. As I've said before, I am currently at rank 7.. playing with shima is exteremely easy. But everyone says after 5.. the nightmare starts :) I am taking your word for that.. If I reach there.. I may stop playing.. the season is almost over anyway. I agree with you, I almost never get into a gunfight with other DDs when I am in shima, even with another shima. Shima gains advantage and power as the match progress. and even I have support, the other grozo or YY will kill me nonetheless while they are dying themselves. I don't pick fights with enemy DDs in ranked.. thats not my job :) for my last star for 7 last night.. been on the map with volcano... went to 1-2 line to patrol from south.. no one with me.. and whats that??? 2 enemy yamatos.. sailing south from 1-2 line... all alone!! no DD.. No CA with them.. Is this the real life?? When you have players like this.. Shima will always be a good choice :)

I think the best ship for a given player is the ship he/she performs the best. I am at rank 8 now, slowly climbing, I am playing 3 to 10 battles for week.. I have %65 WR with my shima... They say, DD meta changes when you hit rank 5 and above.. We will see about that If I ever reach that spot.. May be my skill will not allow me to go further.. I don't care.. Every ship has pros/cons The best ship is the one which has the captain who can use the pros and hide the cons better. I've never had the grozo, or YY.. So I Have no idea how to play them... In a scenario that we will be in the same team, You don't want me in your team with a radar YY or Grozo... You would want me in my shima.. because I can cap, stay alive, torp, contest, spot... as much as I can.. Never go to border to flank torp..

Develop a tier 8 DD with 5km base detectability, only 2x1 turrets (they are not important), 5x4 torpedo tubes, with 12km range, 72knots speed, 1km detectability, 20K damage each, but make premium torpedos, to have heat seeking mechanism which will directly go to the nearest heat source other than yourself.. me, my wallet and my body are ready...

yes you can get either Warspite or Gallant free before the event ends.. If you complete enough missions

I really suggest you to read the following correspondance with the people I was writing to.. If that is not too hard for you.. On the other hand, I completely agree with you here.. It is not even the last thing that I want to see the WOWs adapt the WOT policies... That would be a nightmare. And Personally If I see any indication towards to that outcome, I will not only stop paying but also stop playing. Like I did WOT. But I sincerely think it is not the current situation, although I accept that many people disagree with me on the matter, like many people agree as well. If you didn't watch this weeks mingles with jingles video, I suggest take a look at it. Because he really dives into this matter and I suspect he may be right. The idea is WOT is although not even in decline but in a static place regarding the player numbers. Which suggest the game is the very early stages of its final phase of its life cycle. So not enough new people to put the active player numbers up, reveneu declines, so they try different approaches which clearly are wrong, to boost their income again. This may be inevitable for almost all online games at a certain point. I don't know. May be it will happen to WOWs as well in the future, I do not know either. I really would not want to see it, but I will never regret the time and money I spent here like even though I hate the WOT now, I am not regretting any money or time spent in WOT! (Except you FCM 50T.. yes I am looking at you! Hide in shame you muppet!!)

I don't know If you ever played WOT, but If you knew their policies over there, you would like to come back here and kiss the WOWs developers and marketing teams till the morning. These guys really trying hard.. to make people happy. Yes everyone makes mistakes.. but they admit and try to fix.. payfast, mighty mo, CC captain competition etc etc.. I don't know.. may be I endured WOT for 20K+ battles.. paid a lot of money there.. so right now I am feeling well treated here.. It is like, If you put a man living in a mansion at the french alpines to a very modest 3 bedroom villa in the coast of miami he will complain about a lot of things.. But If you put a man from WOT gulag to the same villa.. that man will live happily ever after :)

ok, Thanks for the answers, I can clearly see that.. You believe everything in the game.. any single thing.. must be obtainable for free. There is nothing to discuss other than we agree to disagree. to give you my side of the story is, I understand WG is a company with the biggest aim of earning money. Which is clearly giving the %99 of the game free, That this game is my biggest entertainment venue, and accepting that, from time to time, WG will try to earn money from me as like all other players. because of that, I do not expect to get everything or feel entitled of all in the game.. and I really think that people are unjust about the WOWs team.. I personally think, that they really understand that the main way to earn money is not selling things but keeping the playerbase happy. and I believe they generally can do that very well..

Why do you think you need to complete ALL OF THE MISSIONS for free? where do you think you have that RIGHT? and why do you think you are entitled to that? What WG owes you in your opinion? How precious are you in your mind? Why do you think the FREE REWARDS (which happens to be the %80 of the event) is not enough for you?

Free to play game? - Check A lot of missions given to get a hoard of free stuff? - Check The missions are actually the easiest ever? - Check Those missions will reward you one of the 2 premium ships at the end, which will you be your choice? - Check FREE GAME WITH A BUNCH OF FREE AND EASY TO GET STUFF?.. Just playing regularly I mean? - Check People complaining, whining and crying just because they can only get THE MOST of the stuff.. not ALL OF IT for free..? - Check.. Another casual tuesday for WG.. I really try hard.. but cant understand.. where do you find this bold and vulgar sense of entitlement?

In addition to that, Everyone can have a client crash in this game, or get torped by a windowlicker or just a very unlucky DD captain. So, without a respawn, lets assume perfectly balanced 2 teams going against each other. what happens I pink CV decides it is ok for him to torp himself or some BB captain thinks it is ok to kill the teammate DD because he is not spotting for him enough.. That DD will out of the match for good.. and voila! balance is down the toilet.. Snowball affect you say.. I agree.. and as we can see in ranked or CB, when they try to match people with equal skills, snowball effect is much more worse..

The skill based MM completely relies on balanced teams... Balanced COMPLETE TEAMS!! In order to have balanced matches between balanced teams, you need to keep the balance throughout the match... until end of it.. to make it the combination of luck+playerskill decides the outcome... Because If you balance 2 teams against each other with 12 players on each side.. when a player dies, his team will be at a disadvantage while that player comes back to the action. When 2 player dies, their team will be at a bigger disadvantage while they are running back to join their team. May be the team will be forced to retreat a little bit. If those who died cannot join their team back... yeah.. your balance between teams will last only until "First Blood" let me give you a hint again why SBMM will/can not work in WOWs...
