I think my favourite so far is Kongo.

I tend to use my DD to hunt enemy DD's or to sneak through enemy lines when I see a gap and try to take out enemy CV's. It's also great for stealth capping objectives. If there's no gaps to sneak through the enemy lines then I try to plan ambushes for capital ships or just support friendly cap ships, shooting down aircraft, deploying smoke or engaging any cruisers or DD's that are closing in. When sneaking, look out for enemy aircraft that fly over and give away your position.

Since battles are not nation specific, IE. Jap and US ships on the same side fighting Jap and US ships, I don't think it's so important to have a completely balanced nation with every class of ship available like CV's for all nations. In fact would it be so bad to have just 1 tier 10 CV on the German fleet, maybe an option stemming from the BB line?

On a realism note, Naval battles are rarely balanced irl. Not that there's an awful lot of realism with Jap and US cruisers on both sides.. but still, MM is doing it's best. :-) Poor MM *hugs*

I guess it's Pacific theatre first and then Atlantic theatre. With regards to Russian WWII fleet, it's just a game, the Devs can use poetic license. ;-)
