I never said I wanted to keep the game ''same as always'' I am in favour of seeing subs. But, it's important to know where those who are against it are coming from.
-
*Shrug* I don't know what they will have to do, but If they want it to work, the final product mustn't end up like this. A challenging concept to work with to be sure.
-
If nothing else, it's intriguing. The thing is, it's not part of the original experience. It's an introduced unknown, totally uncharted territory that could drastically change gameplay, it's natural to have apprehensiveness or outright opposition.
-
Of course. With, or without us Joking aside, I know some of us are sceptical, but I'm looking forward to subs. I hereby selflessly volunteer my body for ''testing'' WG. Conscripted, I die... FOR SCIENCE

Thanks for this, friend

Yes. Almost forgot. We need these unique ships in game. My collection is crying.

Yes! More crossover material. Want.

Off the top of my head, the real list is much longer: Renown-class Italian tech tree Sovetsky Soyuz-class(Soon it seems. Great!) Midway with jets again Shinano as an alternate tier 10 CV Tillman-class More operations. Especially from the Axis side. I'm thinking things like Operation Cerberus. Submarines at some point

This isn't entirely true. In the grand scheme of things, the Kamikaze had little impact, this is fact. However, to say they were not a serious threat to shipping is false, and the USN took them seriously enough that the venerable Bofors 40mm were phased out in favour of the 3″/50 caliber gun Mk. 22, not new but now adapted to an automatic loading design(you can see these on Des Moines and Wooster), backed up by Oerlikons. Indeed, you have several ships severely damaged thanks to Kamikaze or lost outright. This updated Mk.22 was adopted for, among other reasons, the fact that it's larger, more powerful shells could not only knock out, but destroy outright incoming subsonic aircraft with even greater efficiency, reducing the chance Kamikaze attacks or large, intact debris hits the ship. This gun was among the best, if not THE best in the business in this regard.

Have you heard the tale... Of Darth EA the wise? It's not a story the board of directors would tell you.
-
Yes, I and others have posted it to bug reporting. The Massachusetts sound is low from itself, but is amplified around other ships on your own or the enemy team. Meaning, when you shoot, you hear it real soft, the others hear it loudly, as if it came from their own ship.

Not for long brudda Also, Midway is being mocked before my very eyes?

And yet earlier in the OP, we see this from you: ''for every CV match you have played, you are stuck in matchmaking with CVs for the next 100 matches'' Do you understand what contradiction means? What about comprehension? Apparently not, since these 2 don't equal the same thing. Yes, I do call this confusingly convoluted when simple balance fixes are all that is needed, not separate queues that involve matchmaking algorithm changes. If you still can't see how you contradict yourself at every turn, and can't give a reasonable solution because of your CV vendetta, I can't help you.
-
''for every CV match you have played, you are stuck in matchmaking with CVs for the next 100 matches'' ''where did I say that the ppl who have played CVs are part only of the CV matches pool'' I think it is you who is failing to understand. The CV players are effectively stuck together. In your own words, you want to lock people who play CVs, along with people who didn't opt out, together. And in the same breath, you say that they (CV players) can be part of both pools? For them to be a part of both, they must not be playing any CVs! One game will send them straight to the CV only queue! I think you haven't thought your suggestion through all that well. It's not only confusingly convoluted, it also opens up a can of worms with regards to separate queues. Again, you are evading this. And lo, we have a dev communique. hotfix inbound. Balance ongoing and incoming. Good news - was there really ever any doubt this version would not stay as is?
-
Isn't this in contradiction to your OP suggestion? How would people who have played CV even get into this lobby w/o CV when apparently your own new rules make them stuck in all CV games, 100 x the number of CV games played? And still, you haven't addressed the concern behind having separate queues to cater to different players. Or is DDs asking for non-radar queue perfectly reasonable then?
-
So the people who play CVs are stuck in their own pool for all eternity, basically, with a few non-CV players making up the rest of the team list Is this what you are saying? If you can't see how implementation of such rules has the potential to spiral out of control then idk What's next? DDs opting out of battles with radar cruisers? Will they need their own separate queue as well? We'll get right on it chief

What do you like about patch 0.8.0?
Miragetank90 replied to Miscommunication_dept's topic in General Discussion
Tiny Tim My new best bro -
Hasn't this been asked over and over already? What was the answer again? The current problems need to be fixed, and the answer isn't the ludicrous. If we play a CV game, our next 100 matches need to have CVs in them? Do you realise how this rule would break the matchmaker? You think people are going to quit over the rework, just wait and see how many will quit when they can't find matches.
-
Everyone has said it, but - Concealment. You can't talk competitive cruiser build without this skill, even nerfed.
-
It's to be expected. That people would be upset, that is. The whole game got upended overnight. Speaking of winrates since the rework mine has actually fallen substantially, for now.

For Midway I'm using: - Air Grps Mod 1 - Aircraft Engines Mod 1 - AA Guns Mod 1 (Torpedoes or Attack Aircraft Mod 1 are not useful to me, I find the time in attack mode is already plenty enough. Then again, the AA one is arguably in the same boat. No real good mods here) - Dive Bombers Mod 2 (This or Attack Aircraft Mod 2. Torpedoes is not worth it in my opinion. It already has a heal consumable to help, and you're better off buffing the strengths of USN - Attack planes or Dive bombers, I prefer the latter since you spend much more time in AA) - Flight Control Mod 1 (The alternative, Concealment, doesn't help the US planes much. Good for long range torping, like on Haku. This mod helps replenish any dive bombers you lose faster) - Flight Control Mod 2 (If you can dodge flak comfortably, pick this for more speed. Advantage is obvious I think. If not, get Air groups mod 2, it's more forgiving.)

How to fix CV mess - a hybrid approach
Miragetank90 replied to Zen71_sniper's topic in General Discussion
The rockets are good for just that - DDs, and if you're playing USN pretty much everything. They're pretty easy to use can deal great damage if aimed well, especially Tiny Tims. -
Ultimately, I like some things about this rework, and I dislike others. I think there are some big problems, yes - the constant spotting is really hurting tactical gameplay and being able to position, for one. I think this is my biggest gripe. But I think we should hold off on saying it'll ''Never work'' Let's see what the devs say next week. To add to that, as a huge CV fan(rework or not), I think the Haku torp bomber ''tactics'' that are making the rounds are absolutely retarded and need to get out.

how many timmes can a squad attack
Miragetank90 replied to Genie_of_the_Lamp's topic in General Discussion
Yes, the squad bars are reduced every time a group breaks off, or the squad loses planes.
