I have a clanmate who ranked out in 65 battles with 85% W/R using only Kleber this season. I don't own Kleber yet, but if Fantasque/Terrible are as similar to it as I'm led to believe... But the best/easiest ships to rank out in though? Hm. X to doubt. This guy is our best potato, so EDIT: *Shameless plug*

It's true, you don't have to do it, and I can't speak for everyone else but for me personally it just means ships that I most likely won't ever be getting, which irks me as a collector - especially when it comes to a tier 10 BB, Ohio(as a USN fan) and a historical ship(Colbert). For me, it's an issue of having neither the time nor the inclination to reset lines which I have already ground through and grinding them again. It would be better in my view if you kept your ships and research, and receive the points for playing and accruing a set number of base XP per ship in the line, like some kind of mission. And when all those XP milestones are reached, you get a certain number of RB points. This is something I would do and feels more acceptable to me, because I don't have to throw my whole line away. But yes, I guess it's more about getting you to use (and convert) free XP, the above idea doesn't allow for that

The thing is, they want to try and get more people back to playing ships at other tiers other than 10, I get it. But this is not the way to go about it. Give incentives for people to play lower tier ships they have passed already rather than just forcing them to reset all progress in lines, and forcing them to grind up again just to get to where they were before, in the name of some points. It's ing stupid and feels like a waste of time. I would do it if it didn't mean I had to let go of my tier 10s and mess up my collection, and CB ships too.

Somewhat off topic I guess I don't 'hate' many things about this game But I certainly hate this research bureau crap.

You're not wrong that Thunderer is a bit like Vanguard when you consider things like rudder shift and concealment(both excellent) but it has much better firing angles as well. Then again, pretty much everything does compared to Vanguard. And of course, you have quick reloading, 18 inch guns with insane accuracy, def AA... standard heal but faster cooldown IIRC... The only real weakness of Thunderer is the extensive 32mm plating... and I guess the exposed citadel. That's pretty much it. Good ship.

Enterprise is just another example of an epic WG up. There's no point in mincing words. It's very unfortunate. I don't think anyone knows if/when she'll come back, but never say never. As @El2aZeR said, Yorktown is supposed to be the silver T8 for the alternate line. Personally I agree with this decision, I don't want Yorktown as a prem because she's leader of the class. I think Hornet would be a better choice.
