Is there any chance for Audacious to get a buff to bring her in line with Hakuryuu and Midway?
Miragetank90 replied to OVanBruce's question in Q&A Section
For a fraction of the battles, so there's that I guess =) -

The only decent thing Audacious has going for it is the torps, which have a good flood chance, OK damage, and are easy to land for maximum effect. The rest is not good relative to the competition. Especially the bombs. Rockets also suffer from poor accuracy and bad pen, leaving them as being useful really only against DDs and low-tier cruisers(or Mino). Everything Audacious can do, Midway can do better. i.e. You can line up the DOTs and be dealing the raw alpha per strike at the same time and you have the better tools to fit any situation. -
I think of it that way too. Which means IJN Torp bombers represent stealth technology?

Except that that isn't happening at ranges close enough to feel very weird, like it would with minimap only spotting. The example I gave isn't a thing right now. With minimap only spotting it will be.

It's not for sale. It's still in testing and it's not yet known how it will be obtainable.

This can lead to some funny situations. Example: You're sailing in your North Carolina and you see torps coming your way from the side. You know the enemy Kagero is close-by. Luckily your CV is en-route with rocket planes. Look now, he's spotted the Kagero. He's at 5.8km from you... but... oh no! You can't do anything beyond blindfiring because, even though you see him on the map, you can't see the Kagero that is right in your face. Instead, you see the CV dropping rockets into the ocean at an invisible target. In the open, at 5.8km from you.

Detonations. What is the point? Why does this still exist in 2020?.
Miragetank90 replied to Riggerby's topic in General Discussion
lol No. I just get why they decided to put it in thematically speaking, and so I can actually accept it as something you see occasionally as part of random matches. It would be a different matter if you couldn't take Juliet Charlie into competitive, and so have to suffer it's effects there. Since you can, Imo it's a non-issue. -
I actually just wish her ROF was a bit better. That's all. I haven't played her in a while though.

It's not 100% RNG when you consider that it only happens when enough damage is dealt to one of the ships' magazine spaces and only occurs if said ship is below 70% HP. I see it as a nod to actual magazine detonations. We all know the most famous example. I'm OK with that. -

The plotted values on that graph are still percentages of a whole. If the total population changes over time, it doesn't really matter. The total amount of CV battles at each point are registered as a percentage of the total number of battles at that point, and so painting a pretty good snapshot of how popular the class currently is, relative to the others, based on the percentage of battles played at the point of plotting. I can appreciate that just showing total player numbers would have been a more definitive way of presenting the data, but I tend to think this isn't part of some conspiracy to try to prove or to hide something. @159Hunter Hm, yep. No argument here. It's something the graph doesn't account for. In that sense, it is flawed.

It's not useless, because it addressed the statement I was originally referencing - that there was no real increase in play of high tier CVs. It shows that, clearly, there was.

Hm. Sorry, I don't. But I suppose one could ask on the WoWs Discord.
