And here I was thinking, wow, he hardly talks when playing Haku compared to me, he must be concentrating really hard! This is going in my file btw, expect it to come up during employee review

Delicious derailing Just a joke. Besides, like every other stand-up-guy, I'm sure he loves Pizza, right bro? @Excavatus -

It's sacrilege. I once had a favourite pizza place, with PROPER ITALIAN PIZZAS. It was expensive but it was the best on the island. Then I come back one day and the whole menu changed oriental, with one item in particular that I will never forget... Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza I was betrayed. -
I just feel kinda bad for the guy at this point. I don't like watching CCs to begin with but those vids were just painful to watch. No offence intended to him, but from what I can see from the vids, in matters of WoWs he is clueless.

Only Pizza with pineapple or chicken Tikka toppings. -
I really want more camouflage options - even if paying for them

Guild Wars 2 has worked on this premise very nicely for nearly a decade and still going strong. Everything else is free or stuff you can buy out of convenience, or game expansions. -
What fun is, to play against an invulnerable (sub) ship?

What kind of ASW weapons could they even give BBs anyway? The only thing that comes to my mind is on-board aircraft, which leaves those sans aviation kind of stuck. -
Go to player support on the top left. Scroll down and you'll see a big orange button to contact them with.

Yes, but it was a bit different. For example, you could use planes to spot different areas simultaneously across the map and maintain that spotting indefinitely, if you so wished, unless the enemy CV challenged you there with fighters. Though of course, that meant your own planes are just being spotting bots in that moment, or just being an existential threat without actually striking anything(You only strike once per squadron before returning with the exception of fighters, they worked on ammo), or intercepting enemy strikes. It was a matter of balancing and multitask, and assigning the correct task to each squadron in that moment depending on the course of the battle and the actions of the enemy CV. Spots took longer to acquire initially, compared to today, because the planes were slower in getting from A to B, and there was no W boosting either. Spotting DDs... On some DDs, like Kagero, you could maintain spotting for a very long time, assuming he was alone and without any other AA bubble near him. On Kidd, you were not able to keep him spotted for an extended period because Kidd had very potent def AA, and you would lose a lot of planes that are also unrecoverable. AA in general was stronger and AA ranges longer, such that keeping up spots could be very costly. Some ships even W/O def AA, like Mino, were basically no-fly zones up to an area approaching 9km(I forgot its exact possible AA range, 8. something). And something else, if you messed up in your CV early on and lost too many fighters, spotting becomes much harder because you've lost air superiority, and the other guy has free reign to spot and intercept you as he pleases. You were pretty much blocked. Back then, you really had to be on your toes, relative to today.

I might still get it myself. Depends on how far I get just by playing casually and as usual. We'll see. But If I don't get it - just whatever. Not like I'm missing out on a historical ship for my collection either.

Now I'm curious. .... Aaaand I shouldn't have looked.

Since we are making predictions, I think the next season will be a normal one or normal-ish. ie without CVs. No matter what the spreadsheet says, right now the feedback is crystal clear. It would be too much for them to do the same twice in a row and so soon, the amount of REEE would be apocalyptic.

I still miss playing the odd-tiered CVs. Just wanted to say it. Especially Essex. That ship just worked. For me at least. Also something I've never brought up here, one of the most disappointing things about the whole rework concept for me was the complete disconnect from plane-to-plane combat as a facet of CV play. Not that this 3rd person, single squadron mode leaves any room for much else other than spotting and striking, for the most part. Fighter as a consumable is a far cry from the old. Intentional, perhaps, but I still miss pre-rework air combat, even if it wasn't perfect. And could be cheesed like crazy.

It doesn't need the pen. The ship is primarily a firestarter through volume and frequency of fire, and direct damage builds up steadily and is still quite scary assuming you aim well and can hit superstructures, and know when and where to shoot AP, thus adding a little more skill to equation. Dis Gon be Gud.

The thing is, WG will not scrap CVs in CBs entirely. They just won't, they've said they want it to be a participant alongside the other classes, and you know what that means. I think the best we can hope for is that the necessary changes are made to the class, based on feedback from the right people and places. Though, since the class itself is so... well... I guess we would be approaching almost a whole new rework worth of changes for it to be something people can get behind. But I can fully understand the sentiment and those who want them out. It's far simpler and doesn't involve trying to balance a... questionable rework.

That's fine, further down the line, as long as we can get some changes to the class and/or CBs so that this fiasco of a season doesn't become the norm. I know from the QnAs you guys are aware of this already, but spotting is a particularly big gripe. As is being forced to blob up and limiting options for lineups and tactical play compared to every season prior. I don't know how you guys are going to do it, but there are plenty of suggestions in here and tackling these issues will go a long way.
