    how many timmes can a squad attack

    Depends on how many are in the squadron, and how many planes break off for each attack wave. Example: Saipan has 6 DBs per squadron, with 2 detaching per attack. Midway has 12 DBs per squadron with 3 detaching per attack.
  2. My fellow Americans As you know, the great CV rework is upon us. A few of us, the true 'MURICAN CV players, have now lost all hope. Truly, we are a far cry from the glory days of old. Where 'MURICAN planes ruled the skies. None could stand against us! Indeed, we flew circles around all comers, and our bombers gratuitously dispensed our valued FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY. Our vaunted fighters, the best in the world and the bane of those Haku plebs! None can claim to have a more glorious past than we. It is true, that since then, we have fallen. We have been beaten down, patch after patch, nerf after nerf, 'till those days became a distant memory. Robbed of this future, our younger CV brothers will not have any recollection of those days... And yet... The flame of liberty still burns. 8.0 has rolled around, and though the old ways are gone forever, we must acknowledge the positive developments that have put us in a unique position compared to the other, less free nations in the game. For example, in our typical 'MURICAN fashion, we, by the grace of god, have continued to remain at the forefront of all things explodey and loud. Let the lesser nations play with their ''Torpedoes''. Our bombs remain the best in the world, generating the biggest booms. And, though we lost them as fighters, our proud and savage Bearcats return as THE premier missile platforms. Woe to those in their sights! Yet, this is not enough. Because if there is one thing that we 'MURICANS love as much as big booms, it's that goes really, really fast. For to have both big booms and big speed is the essence of what it means to be truly free! To that end, we must rally! So that our shipfu *beloved ship* is restored to her star-spangled, supersonic glory! In the interests of DEMOCRACY, I urge you to make your voice heard at our polling booth. (Un-American attitudes will be ignored) Now, with the focus on CVs, is the time to make Midway great again! GOD bless AMERICA!

    I said this since the beginning. I wish it was part of the compass instead. At the end of reinforcement the compass goes green on the relevant side anyway. Just make it so you can select on there.

    I didn't like Moskva either when I first got it a long time back. Nowadays I love it. It's about playing the ship to it's strengths, do this and Moskva will smile upon you.

    Is it a crime to disagree with his highness? You bet your [edited]I disagree. Interesting that you compare Moskva to Henri and Wooster since these are all fundamentally different ships which have different play styles. A more reasonable comparison is Moskva to Stalingrad. Even then, Moskva has it's merits and I enjoy both.

    Moskva is crap? You must be smoking some DANK OG bud How do you propose they give Flint 152mm guns? It was a real ship of the Atlanta class, not a paper design. It was equipped with 127mm GUNS I'm actually enjoying ranked this time. I find it a nice change, and it's pretty interesting. Just my view.

    Weird that ships launch 4 fighter planes...

    As mentioned above, I think this would be fine on something like Hyuga. Right now though it looks absolutely ridonkulous. Please remove this animation. Just no. Launch ONE plane, then have the others join it. tbh I don't care if the others come down out of the sky as a gift from the flying spaghetti monster, Just don't have them do THIS.
  15. Controversial would be an understatement, but love it or hate it - for me, there is one bright side to this whole thing. And that is my new friend, my best buddy and pal... Tiny Tim. I mean, what a swell guy. He is just a shining beacon of hope in these dark times, something we can all aspire to. A true model of generosity, the gift that keeps on giving. I was so moved, I wrote this special poem just for you bro(No homo). I have a little friend, his name is Tiny Tim I introduced him to herr Hipper once, and the rascal detonated him And so it came to pass, a beautiful friendship was born As from the skies of 8.0, hope is delivered to the forlorn Have you guys met Tiny Tim yet? =D

    Not sure if this is a bug, however I'm not seeing the bombs mounted on the bomber wings. Only Rockets and Torps appear on their relevant planes. This is in contrast with the footage you have shown in some videos where the bombs are clearly visible.

    Not a bug, friend. This feature has been replaced with another system. Press the ''O'' key. This pulls up an interface. Select which side upon which your ship will focus its AA. Note the switch takes some time depending on the ship in question. The individual squadrons can no longer be focused, AA intensity can now be increased on either side instead.

    Jumping on the 0.8.0 CV ideas bandwaggon

    It's just a game and all that, it doesn't have to be realistic, etc etc but this is too out of it imo. It's not possible to try to get your head around this. The planes can't spot the DD even if they are directly overhead unless they are moving at more than 20kts? It's possible to suspend disbelief for the sake of game mechanics but there is a limit, this is too much. For arguments sake, what if they are moving at 21kts? No big difference from 20 in terms of speed, no big difference in terms of wake. Also, something I've noticed when I try to get new blood into the game. They already find some of the mechanics kind of weird(Most typically spotting and how things appear and disappear in front of them) Now imagine something like that from the perspective of a completely new player, being told their planes will only spot the DD moving above, say 20kts even if they are right on top of it. It's just too much. My thoughts anyways.

    7 points eh? I dunno what's optimal yet or whatever, but I'd pick Air Supremacy first, then Improved engines. 3rd tier skill should be Aircraft Armor I think. Survivability expert is not going to be as useful for you yet as you're still on Langley, come back to that after.Wwhen you get enough, get Sight Stabilization. That's what I picked first on all my USN CVs EDIT: Hello, fellow Island person!

    1. Description Failure to correctly render the ''Armed Torpedo Icon'' when torpedoes are dropped from planes, even though the torpedoes have already armed. The icon renders late after the fact. This was also present on the test server. 2. Reproduction steps Unknown. Seems to occur only with Japanese CV Hakuryu? 3. Result Torpedoes which seem harmless impact as if armed, though the indicator is not present, therefore dealing damage. 4. Expected result The torpedoes, if truly unarmed, should not have dealt damage. OR, the torpedoes, if truly armed, should have had the icon rendered at the correct time, I.E. moment of arming and not later. I have no replays at this time, however this phenomenon is viewable on several youtube videos by CCs

    1. Description Random BB gun noises heard whilst playing in any ship, loud enough as if it comes from your own. The sound is that of Massachusetts and/or other BBs that use this sound. 2. Reproduction steps Enter a battle. no particular sequence of events. Cannot confirm whether aforementioned BBs which use this sound were present on either team or not when it occurred. 3. Result Weird sound coming from your ship that isn't supposed to be there. 4. Expected result This sound should not be there. I don't have any replay at this time.
