    I hope this hasnt been solved before, but im bothered by fact that when i trun my ship it slows down and the sound goes down, like if i powered down. Is it possible, that WG linked the sound to speed, not to power applied? or does the increased drag really slow down propellors and the single geared engine looses RPM?

    i think wargaming messed up with big dispersion and IJN low profile small citadel cruisers. i kill myoko in my pensa 10000x easier that with my NC, given same pattern of enemy behaviour and same distance. in my NC i avoid jap cruisers... i simply dont engage. i cant kill them. their paper rock scissors system has fallen apart with reduction of accuracy for USN BBs

    no i dont believe it is. but those are soft stats, they can move them easily. ive seen gread decrease in acuracy somewhere after 0.5.0.2 and damage as well. they will see that ship underperforms and hopefully boost it. anyway... its really shitty endeavor on their part.
  4. Guys, i once citadelled and equat tier BB with COLORADO. i almost had to take the day off for celebrations. And, by the way, it was tirpitz of all the BBs i fired at trough whole grind. I admit that was before the boost (when the arti stat on Colo was lower than on Mexico)

    no! they dont have to be made. THEY. DONT. HAVE. TO. BE. MADE. they are made because of misinformation of developers or because of laziness. explain to me please how would that ruin the game? this is exactly why i stoped WoWp, because the physics model was actually a spaceship with not a sigle hint of physics of flight. The thing with this kind of changes is that it almost does not limit unknowing player, but for a knowing player it adds the right feel. The opposite, like it is now, it looks like the devs are lousy and wont go another mile...

    or is it wargaming? hard to tell, since EA is starting to be a good company, whilst WG... quite the opposite. What has happened? WG went on a path where their main concern is how to earn money and not make a good game. the moment any studio does it, you are done. like CoD series, like NFS (later) series. This means that WG will stick to the old proven concept even if it means that the game sucks. but it is stable, the player base will allow itsel to be bent over knee and take it from behind, whilst now and there send some money their way. Im currently at this point too. Now what would be the concept id like to talk about? Get rid of half the features the way that you are doing them. HP and RNG well its clear that hp is a make-easy concept. you run out of the you die. didnt it ever occur to you, that this is really bad way o handling survivability of a warship? so that when BB hits cruiser with one AP salvo it vanishes from the game? so it has to be balanced, BB screwed hard over rng penetration and dispersion? one part of the player base is always screwed like lightbulb because the concept does not allow you to make it right. Get rid of it and adapt a concept of Buyoancy and modules! When an AP shell comes trough, it may cause flooding, torpedo will too, HE shell on the hull of weaker target. look at any Naval game that tried to be anything other that arcade moneycow... f.e. Silent Hunter. And modules like engine, guns, secondaries could be damadged, crippeled or even destoryed... but why would a "citadel hit" determine, if you die or not? why would a destroyed engine (unless exploded) make ship stop firing its guns? unless it sinks or theese are destroyed. then you could rid of a RNG generator once for all. and make the game skill dependant and not luck dependant (check DOTA if you want to have a clue how succesful skill based game works. number of RNG effects in game is practicaly down to crits) Trust your player with complex information and complex features. We are not six, we can handle it. Shell penetration table for armour thickness and angles (i hope you have those, that you are not only RNGing with some probability). trust with detailed armor layout, modules placement, with all the data that comes into equation. trust them with adding power, not speed, trust them with pre planned routes for dodging. Trust eu player base with information you are filtering to RU community. Economy is tough here and actualy i dont mind that much. this is part of the game you can adjust to your liking. ofc someone would call it blackmail or pay not to grind to the power of n... but as far as you dont detter players, WE. Add something interesting to game you made. As i told earlier i know that now you want to reclaim the EA title you practicaly cant, but look at WoW (world of warcraft) or HotS (both by blizzard). multiplayer games where the authors didnt fear new concepts. new types of objectives other that kill or bring flag or destroy ancient. In wows there could be tons of it. coastal guns, land based AI controlled airfields, protect the convoy, do inland bombardement.. you name it. now you have a game that due to stay in your comfort zone compromises all. reminds me of a quote of my favorite videogame villain "have i ever told you the definiton of insanity? doing things the same f****** think over and over again and expection s*** to change". You add new ships, new lines all the time. maybe even map here and there. you make x2 first battle xp "events" small pathces that fix technical, not game issues. took you three months to fix a MM (which now works fine for all i care). but you dont adress the problems that are there. your comunication with players is poor. balancing the game with things like different firing arcs to weaken cleveland or rng and lower pen to weaken bbs or i dont even know all. You didnt think that at any point... [added poll] its better to know that ship beat you because it was stronger and there was little you could do because your opponent was also smart, that because you had to ballance the game in wrong tracks? Sorry for long post, sorry for bad english. this is a cry for help, because i actually want to like the game and currently i cannot. as a doctorate student i dont exactly have time to apply for a job in WG and try to change things from the inside.

    Yes, the magazine hit would take you out, but those arent that common. and the concept of damage taken would transform into flooded area of the ship. so that would be measure. but the process of flooding distributes differently than the process of loss of HP. Also, ship cant be "unflooded" in battle, but its easier to sink a destroyer than a battleship. The only thing im afraid that proposed system cant take into considetaion easily is disintegration of the skelet of the ship. and i have honestly no idea how could that be on a real ship, how much is the superstructure overdesigned.

    well they allways cry about BB mafia so i wanted to hit back but yeah, half the people on forums complain about the cruiser fragility and low utility... i have t7 crusier and really dont feel like it dont take me too seriously.

    you guys arent exactly listening. i think i proposed a viable solution to this dmg problem. You see all the complaints because its 90%HP, lot of dmg, little dmg and so on, so on. But that would disappear with throwin HP concept overboard. no need for further balancing of this kind. If cruiser gets hit hard by AP bb, it might cripple him, it might take few of modules out, it might sink him slowly, but it will not go like "citadel x3" and "devastateting strike" To the EA... they prologued release times of their games in order for those to be better ergo they try to become better company. And i was giving more the Blizzard as company to take inspiration from. or Valve.

    yeah but you hit in oce. I died several times exactly as you said it. i feel that NC was nerfed hard in last patch. i struggle to hav ehalf the results ive been having before. maybe cruiser mafia cried long enough to have this happen?

    i dont know what the crippled finger player means, but i also find it significantly weaker after the patch. much lower pen (i can citadel a broadsice BB other then nagato at almost all rages, and dispersion seams worse.

    EA tries. that counts lets not call them out, what if the change of director does the trick? to the modules you mentioned: i dont think that AA gun could kill you the HP would be removed. if you lost module, you dont have it. period. it will not sink you. if you have ship with no engine and no guns and you still stayed afloat thats bad luck and it wont happen often. maybe scuttle feature? dont know and also this will implement other tactitcs. maybe strip a BB o secondaries before attempt to come in for torp kill? maybe damage ships AA capabilities by dive bombers before trying to torp it from air? dont know, players wil come up with things. but as things currently are, for example crossing the T [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crossing_the_T] has become as disadvantage to the one who crossed you (opposite of real life). and F.E musashi took 20 torps before sinking, but uss indianapolis took two.

    yes i know... complexity is fear word in Wargaming... because huge warships, basicaly afloat military bases are not complex at all.... as i thougth that wows may actualy be a good game i see it more and more clearly. WG has become a great company with great cashflow and for that reason they will not implement anything risky, anything out of well proven complex that they can milk for cash. long gone is the desire for making good games, greed is only thing left. Wargaming is the new EA games... i just had another game where i got screwed with by RNG.... i dont know what more can i do. at least when i [edited]up, i know that i did... not the game for me.

    Well as i think about it more and more... the only conclusion that could be made here is to get rid of the concept of HP. lets just have Buyoancy and then modules which could be lost, maybe repaired. i did not play alpha, i dont know how it looked back then. but citadel hits would not shoot Cruisers out of water, instead hull penetrated by such shell would take in water, maybe engine could be permanently crippled or taken out entirely? and guns? and secondaries? to the point of disintegration of hull if hit well? like in real life? the only concept, that could maybe balance the game a bit.

    It is better to hit water in front of target than behind, because shell travel underwater and you may still hit some nice score. That mogami i was talking about was full broadside to me, pracitacly stationary 8kms from me. yes, you learn to anticipate, yes you learn to pick your target. but then you have your fckin ideal target, which you positioned yourself to get, adn the RNG says "oh no no, doesent matter if you prepared perfectly and he didnt, he lives, you die". thats like playing chess with dice. each attack you roll dice. you had won the match 2 times already and then rolled bad? to bad! To the person that posted those videos, neither of those are T8, T9 od T10 USBBs, there is a Colorado which got changed in so many patches i dont know how it is now and how old is taht vid. (i remember that when i played it, trough the whole grind i got 2 citadels on BBs of equal or higher tier - so the video seems VERY unprobable). As i see it ive got some 64k avarege dmg, but im in real tryhard mode to get those and i dont even know if thats good worldwide. positioning, target picking, situation anticipation, luring enemies and ofc good aiming. but its so frustrating, when you do everything right and have no reward for that? thats opposite of what i want a game to be.

    skilled captain of CA can kill BB. yesterday i was killed in my NC (he did not take my full hp, but enoug hto make a big difference) by guy in mogami. sleek profile of the ship, RNGesus hating me like feminazi hating rest of the world, his very good evasions and he kept at 15kms from me, took at least 30k of my HP, maybe more. sure i oneshot two cruisers that game, but they came in close and badly directioned. there was litelarlly nothing i could do to him not revealing my broadside to colorado that was hitting me. i took osme of his HP, maybe the rng screwed me really hard in that game, but skillful captain can make all the difference. dont cry, overpopulation of BBs seem to withdraw a bit, and play.

    Dude you obviously dont understand. the ship has it strengths and its weak points. you play for your strengths and try to not to fail for your weakneses. And all battleships must run from time to time in my NC i think that 1/3 of time i might be going on full backwards, utilizing my best armoured side while maintaining 6 guns fire and some distance. BB isnt unhurtable tank that can sail in anywhere and laugh. Myogi isnt great, but its likable. that 30.4 kn top speed is so fun. There were far mode dislikable ships (like colorado prior to all the boosts).

    i liked her very much. She was a true battlecruiser, fast and agile, able to close the distance to the enemy fast, the guns had nice turning rate and max angle of turning, so you could stay nicely angeled while you shot. Avarege 33k dmg a game, which is not as bad as it could seem (took me awhile to realize i need to close to the enemies and take advantage of my speed). Kongo is better at all aspects, thats true. but i enjoyed Myogi. taking out wyomings (as they cannot angle porperly on this tier and showed their broadsides), making it imposible for destros to hit me once i noticed them. and it is only T4 you can advance fast
  23. storm: reduced speed of ships, small more punished than big ones, changing course of torps. CVs still viable, RNG loss of aircraft if CV not windward.

    WTF is wrong with BBs "beginner-guide"

    i have to strongly disagree about that scout thing. its not about extended range, it lets you hit enemies you cannot aim for well. examples of this is far BB going somewhat angeled to you. with scout you will see how much. the other is ship hidden behind an island, where your shells will fly, but you cannot set your guns to ignore terrain and aim. i use it for both (to be fair i didnt know about that fighter option) and it pays off at least once per match. upvoting you though, lot of effort
