Ship turn rates are rediculously fast.

The turning is sick but there are other ways to balance it out if WG want the quick turning American BBs. When a ship turns that quickly it's speed should be dramatically reduced and this could help balance out the problems for torps from CVs and DDs. Shure the BBs can turn fast and avoid easy but it comes at a price. A huge dive in speed when the turn is commenced, this paired with slow acceleration could perhaps counteract the now ninja-like BBs? What do you guys think of this? One thing is for sure... The current state of things is not working for gameplay.

    Need for Ships: Drift

Turn rates are broken indeed. Sure it's not a simulator I get that but still... Atleast let the ships handle like ships in water. In it's curremt state many BBs do not behave like a ship at all... Apparently water has no mass and is displaced super-easy so the ships can turn on a dime and glide over the water^^

    Update 0.3.1 Japanese Carriers

Well CV is utterly useless atm. Sure the turning radiuses are crazy but even when you make a perfect crossing pattern and hit 4-5 torps the damage has been so severly nerfed that it doesn't matter. You would need 10 squadrons to even make adent in a BB after the patch... When they decided to make evading torps easier they should have increased the damage aswell. As is no, carriers get few hits and redicoulusly lox xp per game. I'm an alright CV but find it sad that they nerfed us so hard when we were already at a disadvantage with the increaslingly efffective AA on higher tiers.

Ship turn rates are rediculously fast.

I would also like to give my five cents on this. The turning rate is insane at the moment, as a CV player I get to see this alot, BBs gliding over the water on the broad side because of the fast turning. Not only is it strange to watch but it looks so wrong, a ship does not handle like that and it somewhat brakes the immersion for me. I know it's not a simulator and all that but I still feel that there are some things you shouldn't mess with for the benefit of the game and the player. As of right now a CV player might aswell hunt DDs with torps as it is easier... Really hoped higher tier CVs would get a boost but seems we got hit hard with the nerfhammer.

    Bombard/Defend mission suggestion

+1 That would be awesome! The game really needs more game modes. Would also love search & destroy mode that has been suggested before around the forum.

    Maps

If bigger scale could be implemented for certain maps one way to go could be to have open ocean on one side (let's say west) and land on the other (east). Sounds booring right? Ocean to the west and land to the east? But with an addition to scale also comes new advantages. Then WG could work on the design of the landmass to the east, adding bays and inlets to hide on and hug as the two forces close in on eachother from spawn points in the north and south. Could be very promising for the proposed search and destroy mode suggested.
  7. Would definetly like to see some more weather conditions and times of day (lighting) with different weathers like morning fog, rain etc. It would add alot of variance, even if it was only done to one map. And having waves and weather affect the ship (within reason ofc, not saying we need a full simulator here^^) could add even more diversity and give variation to gameplay without having to change ships. A ship might play very differently if there are rough seas and rain? Or calm water. low light and fog. Just a thought since I really like the idea with more weather.

    [Suggestion] Changing gunsmoke colour

+1! Might I also suggest to add some more smoke? If you look att footages of ships firing their cannons there are alot of smoke and it moves over the water before dissappating. Would be a nice addition in the game for immersion and create tactical problems if you are stationary as the smoke can to some extent block vision.

    Weather conditions.

I would like to see more effect on the aiming of cannons due to how the sea is moving. Waves do affect ships and it would make a fun tactical addition if the player has to time the shots right depending on how the ship moves and roll on the waves.
