Sketchy business tendencies that I noticed

I almost thought this was serious until i read that camostat (in the linked redditpost) " damage receive when raming -100% " No way this can be real it would be too hillarious. (imagine fast DDs with that camo ramming you several times with speedboost)
  2. All Blacklisting/Disabling will do is silence him, but there is no way afaik to tell if someone on your team is on your blacklist except your brain renembering the nickname. Disabling his messages in battle is for that one battle only afaik, so there is no point searching for that option in port. Basically it is two completely different things. Disabling messages in battle = temporary muting all messages he writes in battlechat for that one battle. (except F messages for whatever reason) Blacklisting in port = permantly disabling him to haunt you in port with textmessages The chance to meet the very same player that you blacklisted is extremly low though (after some time passed - it is ofc higher if you press battle again right away after the battle ended) with the current amount of active players so why would you bother?

    Valentine’s Day flag

Don't forget the Harekaze with Furry camo! That one is popular too! (apparently even Dasha likes it a lot) I am almost certain you are not alone. Even I (not that much into MLP) would gladly fly that flag if the Profilepicture from @havaduck as a flag were a thing.
  4. But it is rare so it is fine! Just use the anti deto module! ez! Me too! Always feel dirty and undeserving of that kill as it was just gifted to me while I am used to actualy earning those.... So what is it now? Are detonations fine as they are and should stay in the game? Are they a stupid mechanic and should be removed? Do you realize how stupid the "It is rare so it's fine" argument is now? Ooooh I detonated! *sad panda* (better do something more fun with my time.... Oh I know go to the Forums to share my sadness...) Ooooh the realism card! You guys became rare! How about we only let one player at a Time use Bismarck? Because two Bismarck in the same match would be weird right? Same for all other ships.... And Germans can't fight Germans or RN can't fight French (allies)... I can already imagine the queue times waiting for battle... Fun times! Yes better angle to get deleted by BB Ap instead..... You do realize what random means? If this mechanic is truly random then any chance reduction is pointless because it shouldn't work that way. That is literally what RANDOM means..... So just like that the module won't save you when RNG wants to screw you over. Which means it is pointless right? Yes where is the problem? The way you wrote it others could've detonated from full health too in the same game.... (not that rare actualy) Back to the REALLY HUGE Garage.... But it requires skill to know where to aim to hit that spot reliably.... Though I give you that it is not as clear cut as in WoT, but still noone has a problem with detonations there (me neither) even if you can hit them by chance. The fact that it follows clear understandable rules with a module with actual HP that you can (in WoT) reliably hit and will only detonate if HP reaches 0 makes it something entirely different because skill is involved don't you think? On Topic: Again.... (this is getting old) remove this crap already! NO a 25% HP safety margin won't do!

    Valentine’s Day flag

If you look closely he actualy already jumped off the ship while chasing the ball. Maybe he is lucky and that ship is anchored in a harbour (likely with those fireworks in the background), but it still is a steep fall from up there...

    IFHE Skill Bug on "Aigle"

Nope Supertest is for detecting balancing issues and getting rid of them. PTS is should be for testing in large numbers to weed out bugs/slipups that made it through qualitycheck (lol) unnoticed. This issue is clearly something that SHOULD have been solved by the latter but as we can't test Premiumships on PTS for whatever greedy reason, this could happen. Hence i wonder... Why we still have the PTS again?

    IFHE Skill Bug on "Aigle"

I wonder... what was the point of the PTS again?

    I Love This Game

eh it's rare so it is fine..... Even rarer to get it in BBs by normal AP and not Torpedoes. To get it twice in so short time must mean you are safe for the next 5 years. Wouldn't it be hilarious if WG "accidentaly" gave BBs the same odds of detonation in this patch then DDs? Oh boy imagine the salt....

IJN Asashio Revisited (In Preview Mk. 2)

I didn't say they need to release it exactly like it is now, only that i like the direction. Back in the day if that Gearing was smart he would just circle around the smoke to reaquire vision. When he is on th other side of the smoke and didn't spot him he would fire a testround (stealthfire was still a thing back then), if he wasn't spotted it means Shima is still in smoke. All Gearing needed to do then is wait for it to run out.

IJN Asashio Revisited (In Preview Mk. 2)

Well sadly WG won't do that, they could've done so long ago if they wanted. Ofc I wouldn't say no to these kinds of Torpedos with very good detection like 0,9 but it likely won't happen. the next step is to think about how the IJn can break out of their identitycrisis. Also Gearing dodged Torps all day especially from those quintible launchers with battleshipsized gaps after a few km. Yes it may served as distraction for a few more secounds but nothing more. I wouldn't say no to more speed on Asashio either. It might not be competetive now but I like the direction this is going. You are not supposed to play Atago that way.... but whatever (literaly) floats your boat i guess.... I know what you mean though. I also always get triggered hard when i see another friendly DD (after my demise) try to Torp the enemy DD even though he could just finish him in two quick salvos.....

IJN Asashio Revisited (In Preview Mk. 2)

How do you suppose pure Torpedoboats need to look like in the current meta without being op? (especially with things like Gearing or god forbid Fltecher around - which made the idea of Torpedoboats ridiculous after the IJN DDs got hammered with those nerfs) We already got plenty of Hybrids and the original IJN DDs got powercreeped by PA DDs or nerfed to death beforehand. How did you (or would've) play(ed) your Shima when only Shima and Gearing existed? It was exactly the same situation back then. Either be smart and play around him (using stealth, kiting, superior gunarcs, more turrets in the back than in his front etc.) or get downright murdered by his DPM.
  13. Miessa3

IJN Asashio Revisited (In Preview Mk. 2)

...which i believe is exactly how you should play this ship too.... If playing the objective (caps) use the superior (mostly) stealth to keep other DDs at arms lenght. If there is another DD with you even better as he will spot and distract the enemy for you so you can support him with some salvos of your own and smoke up if it gets to dangerous or bail out. What about giving her the first choice of torpedos ingame? (just thought about that) So maybe she gets he main DWT Torps and the 20 km shima torps to choose from and switch in battle. The shima torpedos aren't any good to do that much damage but the existense give enemy DDs something to be vary of and doesn't render the Asashio completly useless if only cruisers and DDs are left. Must have misunderstood the OP then. I read it as she gets both.... I missed the "no" which is gramatically hard to fit in. (there is a t missing to be a "not" i guess) 1) My point was that it still has the superior Kagero steath to contest caps and the speed to get "free" uncontested caps. Both Midway doesn't have. With that stealth i (if i get that ship and it comes out like this) WILL get caps with it. I will just be hesitant to go to a cap alone. With buffing the Alpha I meant to be able to kill of very wounded targets (like 10% hp). With that stealth you usualy get the jump on the enemy DD an most likely get the secound salvo of just after his first or secound is in the air. (reactiontime and adjusting Turrets) After that Asashio should run for it if the enemy DD isn't dead. 2)Let the BBs camp in the back if they want. If they are doing this only because of your presence then your team will win sooner rather than later. If those BBs are smart they will be hugging cruisers eqipped with Hydro. (or play Bismarck ) 3) my suggestion above should fix this, even though with that stealth you CAN play the caps. (you are then relying on your team though) Why worse than PA? The thing that always annoys me about the PA DDs is their limited Torpedorange considering their rather normal stealth. DW Torpedos are always WAY harder to spot that normal torpedos (that is the whole point of them) so there is no issue here, the IJN DDs tend to do a lot more damage though.

IJN Asashio Revisited (In Preview Mk. 2)

actualy i think it usualy is the other way around. (Shinonome isn't bad though) On Topic: Isn't that exactly what the original IJNs wanted to be? Deadly Torpedo only BB killing machines with superior stealth? In fact if they buff the raw alpha damage on those guns a bit more it is exactly how Shima played - only with DWT torps. And isn't that also exactly how DWT Torps were supposed to work? I can clearly renember most people being upset over the incoming DWTs back in the day to be concerned that those actualy punish the cruiser more than the BBs and won't hurt the actual camping BBs but only those that actualy do play it right and fight at the front. I think it is a step in the right direction if you want to achieve a true torpedoboat. With WGs policy powerful Torpedos with smoke AND TRB means you need to pay a heavy price. If that price isn't concealment or NO guns I am more than happy about it. 1) You can still cap, you only have to rely on your team to kill the DDs you spot or hurt them enough to knock them out with superior alpha (the only thing they may can safely buff) in one or two salvos. 2) You will infuse fear even in the campiest BBs out there. All you need to do is choose Torpedopaths without likely DDs around or Hydro. Every BB out of range is also a win because they are ineffective then. 3) RPF to have a warning from the incoming DD that WILL kill you is as mandatory as on all the other IJN DDs that are supposed to be Torpedoboats nowadays anyway. I feel this could be a revival of the IJN DDs as true superor Torpedoboats, giving them back their national flavour that it was advertised with, hence why I very much agree to this plan. Like I said the only thing I would consider buffing is the raw Alpha of the salvos to also reimplement the old Hit and run tactic of those earlier high alpha IJN guns. Yes i know it is a nobbtrap that seems to excuse not playing the objective, but i like the general idea.

WTF is going on with this game?!

I know you aren't serious but it is sad that there are still people truly believing this.

WTF is going on with this game?!

Better edit that picture.... Naming and shaming you know... On Topic: Jeah there are those heartbreaking Loss streaks, but this only means the next winstreak to balance it out is on the way. No you don't want skillbased MM. Trust me on this one. It will change nothing for everyone except maybe the top unicum players. Said unicum players are so high that while they may escaped from abuse of intentionaly downgrading their "skill", they also either only ever get matched against VERY bad players or wait in queue forever. (depends what kind of skillbased MM you chose). And yes there will be a lot of abuse. That is the human nature. If you can abuse the system they will, and nothing can stop them as noone can tell if you are playing bad on purpose or if you are just drunk.

    Detonation

but it is a fact that CV can't detonate and that BBs detonate waaay less (you even said so yourself), for the rest you have to believe me on that I only detonated in BBs in a hand full of games. A solution to that is add like 100 games to all games but only in DDs and cruisers which is enough if you argue with 1,7%..... No that just means i use Juliet Charlie signals more often on my DDs than you do (probably because you don't care like you say) and some RNG margin which will become close to 0 given enough samples. Nothing more nothing less. Like I said you can't use the total amount of games in all shipclasses and have to adjust for Juliet Charlie signalusage because you can't detonate then. If you don't understand that you have no clue about calculating chances. Again it isn't rare and the argument that it is rare so it's fine won't hold water no matter how much you try. How about WG gives out a new premiumship that is totally broken (Like that ship can't be damaged at all by any means broken), but WG only gives said ship to 100-1000 random but active players. Then it is rare. It might never effect you at all. But here is the twist: Does that make said ship any less broken? NO! And that is why this argument is BS.

    Detonation

I will look if i can make some time at the weekend and if i am still in the mood to bother by then I actualy wrote this to make you understand how stupid it is to demand prove for every little thing that you may can argue about. All this does is sabotaging a discussion if there aren't resonable doubts the other partys arguments. But fine. Now after you have taken a good look at my stats, substract all BB and CV games from the total number (and maybe add like 100 games for the 1 or 2 times i actualy detonated in a BB) and then calculate the % again.... Not that rare anymore am i rite? And that doesn't even account that I use Juliet Charlie signals on most of my Tier X DDs and when I use other valuable signals like Dragons. No that is NOT how it works. There ain't a HP for the magazinemodule in WoWS unlike in WoT. Every "hit" there rolls the same dice.

    Detonation

We were actualy talking about something else..... Not BBs getting detonated by HE from a DD is the problem. We were talking about HE shells not even needing to hit the ship to cause a detonation (which is also what you actualy quoted) and I can give you plenty of examples of that when I am home (if those replays still work) Don't try to change the topic! Or read what you actualy quote... Edit: Where is your prove of detonation being rare? (global for all players)
  20. Miessa3

    Detonation

....Because you play BBs too much.... 1) source? 2) that is a bad argument and you should know it. By that the USS Black (only DD with very efficient radar + smoke) is fine too because it is rare right? 3) good for you - keep on playing those rarly detonating BBs..... The thing is angling your armour will do nothing if to reduce the chance if the HE shot at you is of high enough caliber. Also angling in BBs will actualy make you more likely to detonate. (Torpedo to the nose) exactly! RNG is somewhat ok while trying to do damage. RNG is also somewhat ok in the amount of damage you receive in reasonable margins (25% for WoT I believe) or to avoid getting damaged completely (dodgemechanic in many RPGs). Detonation however is different as it involves instant death cast upon you by RNG in a KO-matchenviroment. (One live per game) This is absolutely not ok to just shrug off as "meh RNG". For your 1): Yes there can be said margins to encourage avoiding to take damage and some RNG, BUT if a skilled player outplays an enemy or has the skill to know he can go into that engagement safely with that HP difference because he can predict how much DPS the enemy can do, then he has a right to get friggin rewarded for it. Detonation just robs them of their skilladvantage. For your 2) Like explained above detonations are very different to the other RNG factors that involve taking damage (even for dispersion to end in a cita the target needs to make some mistake). So basically you are saying the unskilled should also have a chance to beat the more skilled players that will outplay him in 99 out of 100 games in that odd game? Who was the one calling everyone sissies? The problem is for multicitadells the target made a huge mistakes so skill is involved, detonations however is pure RNG and no skill whoatsoever. Like called out from Exocet, big strawman you got there. THIS. If detonations have to stay, at least make them entertaining as watching an exiting movie to account for the entertaiment and fun you just got robbed off. I could give you plenty of examples. I just have to search through my replayfiles (and pray the recent patches didn't make them unplayable). There is only so low coverage because why bother if there is already one example? To hope WG may changes their mind even though they said they won't? To prove a point to people like you? I don't think so. Nice strawman you got there.

    World of Battleships?

The thing is due to their nature 5 vs 5 DDs will turn into a 2 vs 2 or 1 vs 1 or similar pretty fast (exepct if you get like 5 Khabas each). If however 5 BBs play vs 5 BBs then you can count on most of them staying until at least midgame (minus the occasional suicide BB or Noob that gets deleted by a Torpedosalvo because he won't change course). The too good survivalrate is the problem among all those i mentioned earlier. I think it is just wrong for one Ammotype to be the correct choice for like 99% of the targets no matter which class is involved. Cruisers have to be mindful about their choice of ammo (if they want the best outcome in damage), DDs to a certain extent too (especially KM DDs and Akizuki), why this doesn't affect BBs?
  22. Just like the Yamato minus the lolpen guns that overmatch BB noses. Be mindful of your position. Block an area nose in and punish everyone pushing too far. If you have to reposition do it before it is too late and everyone can shoot at your broadside. Reverse if you must. Use your speed to get into a better position. By all means use Camo expert. Only use the third (backwardsfacing) turrent when actively fighting someone and turret is reloaded and immediatly angle bow in again after you fired it. Best if you use Priority Target to to know when it is safe to turn.

    World of Battleships?

Mine was strong because of less caution among the players. Kamikaze is still strong for the same reason (especially now with all the radar and Hydro around. For it to be OP though it has to perform better than the rest or "break the game". Back in the day both weren't true for Mine. Shima was only op because of the numbers of Torpedos it could put in the water. If not then why everyone called only Shima op and not the other 4 DDs between Tier V and X? Read what I wrote. I wrote consistently. I play DDs and Khaba among them. i know how to steer to hit the gap between the shells. But sometimes there is no gap, or more than one salvo. To dodge every salvo consistently you have to know where they will land which is impossible without a mod that will get you banned. Khaba is actualy a very fast cruiser without a citadell and not a DD. Yes the MM will get flooded by DDs sometimes when certain missions are up for them. But for BBs they are present in a more consistently manner like last week where nothing really happened missionwise. Still lots of BBs. Speed Boost on BBs might not be bad balancewise but it still shows that WG just doesn't care for classspecific consumables anymore. Can't wait for the BBs with smoke (most likely russian then right?) as that is the last combination missing if you don't count CVs. P.S. German detected! There are so many ways to play DDs completly wrong and immediatly marks you as a Noob in experienced eyes and the one mentioned is one of them. My personal favourite though is still DDs trying to smoke up near an obvious radar/Hydro (not baiting it) and die sitiing there wondering why he is spotted, then goes on flaming the team for not supporting him/her. Have to apreciate classics too though like KM DDs or Lo Yang with HAS equiped manage to get Torpedoed while sitting still broadside in smoke..... Yes the BBs aren't at fault for the quick seemingly suicidal death of DDs....... The BB AP Pens from stupid angles (even full broadside, but through waterline) are.
  24. I like the Izumo very much as it has a very punchy and very acurate (unlike Musashi) salvo. It was the ship with the highest damage record for most of my career and was also very consistent in producing damage, even though i was rather bad at the game back in the day when i grinded for Yamato. I also would argue that Fiji is actualy better than Belfast. Yes Belfast gets all the tools, but if you know what you are doing, then Fiji can just achieve that much more due to the heal + Torpedos. Oh yes! How can WG dare to still have a Battleship in the game that can be punished for showing broadside while it is not designed to do so. Better subgmerge the IJN Citadels too, so we can just remove them entirely for BBs soon™. If you would have asked for advice I could've given you some. (hint hint it is very fast for its Tier and has most of the firepower in the front so what do you think this ship esxcells at?) Well I can make it work despite everyone hating on that ship.

    World of Battleships?

No it was not most effective against BBs. If you don't believe me just open a training room, and see how long it takes for a Gearing to significally damage a Tier VIII BB at maximum ranges minus 2 km without using torpedos. Then you need to realise this is without the target moving and using their damagecontrol and heal. Stealthfiring was never effective. It is only the pschological effect of getting hit 100+ times that makes it seem like it does massive damage, but actualy the multiple BB AP pens inbetween did way more damage for example. Shima and Minekaze were only so effective because the playerbase were still too dumb to evade. Shima was only broken because it had 15 of the 20 km Torpedos and those were actualy effectiveback then. Minekaze was never broken. The only reason the Kamikaze sisters (effectively the same as old Minekaze) are considered op now, is that they nerfed all other Tier V (and IJN in general) into oblivion. No not in smoke. Not like it used to be. I can say for example that i actively close the range to smoke firing Kutusovs to under 7,7 km now (that's why i know that number and many more out of my mind now) to spot them for the team. You can take my word they either moved and stealthed up then or got deleted by BB AP. No exceptions. Also with Battleships with ranges over 20 km starting at tier FIVE you can't be save from random citadels in a cruisers and be save at the same time. It's just not possible with 5 BBs and the size of the maps currently in the game. Yes they are still rather inacurate at lower Tiers but that makes them even more unpredictable to dodge and the accuracy is enough to hit consistently under 12 km. Also if you can dodge all dangerous BB AP shells consistently under 15 km then you must be playing another game. And yet you don't recognize it as a balancing problem if one class is that much easier to play? What I meant with the cruisers is that good damage over time (DPS) doesn't mean much if you sink that much faster in a cruiser than a BB. There is a reason MM gets flooded with BBs whenever there is a Damagefarmmission up....... Don't forget the KM BBs also get a lot of free secoundary damage at higher Tiers..... I didn't say that cruiserconsumables on DDs are just as wrong as on BBs, it is just more consistent with BBs. Did you know the new french BBs get to use speed module? No there are just as many Noobs (percentagewise) in DDs and cruisers than in BBs. And also very bad ones i can tell you. The problem with BBs is that it doesn't immediatly and unmistakenly punish bad gameplay. That is also why it is easy to spot the BB Noob, because he lives longer.
