The difference is the number of enemyships present and the time you can kill them and complete the mission. It was by far the most effective xp per time wise. In every other operation the distance you have to travel for completion is longer or simply takes longer because the escortships stops on certain points etc. For Operation Narai the convoi is heading for the (rather close) targetarea nonstop and it all ends in a very actionbased killfest. That is what made it so fun to play, but sadly also too rewarding for WG it seems. I mean there is no other explanaition for WG removing it as everything else was fine with this op.

Well I would say that it does count. I can also renember something with getting dragon flags for every 1k of games played. But ofc this is where it ends for a timespan of over 2 years (everything else was directly connected to effort and not just "being active and loyal customer") and still can't be really compared to a Tier VIII Premium for not logging in for half a year. like I said I totally agree with you. I was just correcting you on: " I CAN NOT, no matter how much I play, grind my way to a free t8 premium " which is not 100% true to be fair.

The problem is with people that could calculate the hp difference and knew that they should win this engagement, but then RNG shows up and says: "Do you see this? This is your skill." and then throws the paper in the toilet and give it a good flushing. Why would you say this is good? That is like playing poker and rolling a dice every 5 rounds. If you were unluky enough to roll for a six you will lose all your ships regardless how many you got or if you ever went "all in". Poker is actually a good example of how good or calculated RNG should work. Detonation isn't because it's literally rolling a dice resulting in sudden and permanent (for that match) doom. Getting thrown out of a game purely because RNG says so without previously taking the "known" risk isn't considered fun in any game and never will. Literaly the only pros for detonation in WoWS are: - special snowflakes with an ego that can't handle being outplayed. (situations where you imediatly see you have no more chance winning this because you got outplayed) - hystorical freaks that scream "MUH realism!"

Well to be completly fair here.... If you grinded all 9 season of ranked you would've more than enough dubloons and some change to buy any Tier VIII premium by now..... Also technically you could grind for two Tier IX Premiums via free xp... But other than that I totally agree with you.

Now i can't wait for the ranked season to end an WG giving out the prices. Looking forward to shred some unsuspecting DDs that never seen a Black and may never heard of it.

You will reach Tier II in like 3 matches. 829k is also very doable if you have a Tier V which also only takes about 2 days of playing (while counting your progress after you got Tier II). This is all not even including the free xp you might even have piled after 2453 battles..... Or you just ignore it and don't get the flag....

If WG fixes things.... they either just fix it by some miracle or screw it up beyond repair. It's like they say if we can't fix it we rather break it. And sometimes they "fix" things that don't need fixing.... Renember the Tirpitz secoundary buff? or the clanchat you mentioned? or the Yubari AA nerf? or the Narai operation?

Kutusov will most likely not happen again anytime soon. Still amazed though that they switched out Yubari for Sushi. Newbs must learn the stronk way of playing BB early i suppose.....

As a fellow citizen of the city of Hamburg I very much agree with this flag. Still amazing though that WG noticed Hamburgs "Hafengeburtstag" while I still renember them being like 14. of juli has nothing to do with europe. Meh must be that fact that we have our glorious port ingame.

For now there are only 15 "Account Levels" ("Ranks" is misleading as it usualy refers to how far you got in the current/recent Ranked Battles gamemode). There is some sort of new player protection in place, but not when it comes for punishing players for misbehaviour only to protect them from more skilled players. As far as i know (this didn't exist back in my days) this protection will end when you reach a certain amount of games played or if you play any Tier above and including Tier V. Before the new system was implemented there was a mechanic in play that only accounts for teamdamage of your recently done damage. I think (too lazy to search now) it was something along those lines that you turn pink if you did 10.000 damage to teammates in your last 1.000.000 damage done (or if you actualy sink a friendly), meaning the harsher punishment for previous misbehaviour wouldn't be applied if you did enough "good" damage. (i.e. play nice and innocent) As this system is fairly new, we don't have any knowledge if there is something along those lines as well, but i think it is very likely. So just take care and play as innocentand mindful of your teammates as possible and these early mistakes shouldn't bother you anymore.

I meant switching from BB to DD but you are right i forgot the change in Tier from Rank 10+. Jeah it was exactly that game. It was hilarious how their team only sent one Shima East to defend the whole flank while everyone is pushing the hard to cap west flank. Thanks for trying to help me with smoke against that Zao btw. sadly I took an unfortunate Torp while HAS was on cooldown so i sank there, but we won because they camped too hard in the westcap and that is all that matters. I usualy also don't read the nicknames that much as the shiplineup gets my most attention so I only recognize the most famous forumities when I scan the teams for fellow scrubs. Then I go like "Oh is that THAT AnotherDuck/other or just some random imposter?"

You Sir speak like a true Scrub! Well as a true windowlicking scrub in my Z-52 I am usualy found IN the cap (or at the bottom of the sea), but I know what you mean. On topic: I am fine with bad players in ranked. Only those really fall for the noobtrap that is Z-52 smoke+Hydro. On average they will be on the enemyteam just as much as on your team anyways. This is how I am reaching Rank 1 easily recently (last Season with Lo Yang) so please keep them comming! I am fine with the cap layout (especially like Mountain range with my Z - when the enemy doesn't bring Hydro DDs and/or Radar to C then it's partytime ) It rewards good individual play and punishes the bad. As a somewhat decent player this means you will win more and/or come top of xp more reliably (in the longrun).

Well technically they didn't even lie. They DID stop putting ships as bundle only in the shop. They just never said how long the pause is gonna be.

But I am sure I played with you in the Shima this week (I were in Z-52). Do you change ships between matches?

The problem is as I said that those exp and credits you mentioned are given only for ingame playtime which should be (almost) just as important for WG as the real cash. It's not exactly "free". Same with the rewardships. The problem with the flags is that by doing said activety (i said work but no the game is still fun for me and nowhere near actual work but it's a good analogy as in "work for WG by filling the queue") you will ususaly use more than you earn. Again it' totaly fine that WG is giving out nice welcome back gifts for returning players. The problem is they are doing it with prices that the active playing plebs have to fork over lots of real money to get it wich blows the whole thing out of proportion. With this you really have to wonder as an active player. If another less active time comes up because of real live you have to consider now to extend the pause from one and a half month to maybe three months to get nice gifts that you would've needed to pay for if you return "too early". Or even think twice about loging in for the ocasional game in the less active time. We don't actualy know what the minimum amount of inactive time for those gifts are, but from what I have read it should be more around the 3-4 months mark.

Jeah... Anyone that is still surprised by that by now and didn't see that coming is a naive fool. Still a sad story though. I am fortunate to be a player of the old days and own any premiums that might have interested me. (even from those now I have all but 2 and those are ships i would've never bought even solo) Tough luck for all the newcomers though. WG should really think this through again. Happy customers are more worth than short sighted buisness practises like this. But what am I saying. If WG ever knew this they would be ignoring that advice for several years now on numerous occasions...

why not both? The problem isn't that new players get shiny things. The problem isn't that you can get things by earning them in WoWS. The problem is that unactive players get significantly (as in hard cash worth) more rewards for doing nothing but login ONCE. While active players get less and even have to work for it. Why not have things to earn AND give free stuff (like login once free stuff) to very active players. It doesn't have to be much. The returning players may can have better stuff for completly free. The insult lies in the proportion.

Oh look another one of those "Why not quit the game and enjoy some qualtity familiytime for half a year" promo. Really if I hadn't drawn Eugen out of a x-mas box but rather had paid full prize for it, i would be really offended right now. I get where WG is coming from, but the pricetag for those things they casualy give away to returning players is just too extensive. Not have a problem with giving returners nice gifts. They can have it i don't care. But the message this is bringing is rather insulting.

The problem is on normal ponys there shouldn't be a Belly button in that position eiter. That and the skinlike color + human clothes and obvious pose is making it rather on the edge. Actualy that is a much better example. For me both of those are innocent as A is apropiatly clothed (+B) and B is still obviously a Pony without any human features (only a very thin body for ponys, wings, weird colors etc but oh well it's a drawing)
