Sunk cost fallacy and secondary BB knife fights.

Is anybody besides me playing only brawls to seek refuge from subs?
SOLRanger replied to Cippalippus's topic in General Discussion
I like them because you can avoid the ridiculous number of players in random battles, and focus fire that dominates it. I wish tier 7 and 8 brawls were a permanent thing. Although I do wish they'd just let us have BB battles and be done with it. -
The game is largely unplayable still, systematic desyncs and lagspikes since alpha.
SOLRanger posted a topic in General Discussion
The game is unplayable for me for enjoyment largely due to lagspikes, but when desyncing it becomes literally unplayable and it has been like this up and down in severity since the first time I installed the alpha, without a fix. I've been trying to wait for it to be fixed but I have no more energy to do so, it always ruins my day when I try the game and I can't accept that anymore, I expect more ships will be added and the game will remain just as unplayable as it is now and has been before, at points I have managed to play some few games if I through excitement simply endure the jerky low performance and no desyncs happen, but the FPS has always been eating away at me and left me no longer wanting to continue to play, it dips down to 7 fps systematically, that's not reasonable, but now again I'm getting the even more serious systematic game desyncs. I tried two games today, desync a minute or two into each game, in one it sorted itself out but then I was surrounded and died horribly by torpedo when it let off, the second game I was completely dislocated from direction and speed, the enemies as is common were jumping around and I was finally about to get torpedoed helplessly while auto circling until the game ended a millisecond before I actually sank. I've not managed to get past tier V because of this yet and my question is honestly, should I just uninstall the game for my own good? Because this issue has been going on forever now, if it was a problem over a short period it would be a different matter, but it was right there in late Alpha which left me completely unable to play as the game disconnected even then already at the menu, and I even lost out on the Iwaki Alpha apparently as I was unaware due to this because logging into the game was equal to shooting a paintball in the face constantly every 10 seconds, why did I even bother to through tooth and nails participate in the beta I ask you, for the honour of being a guinea pig for a future unplayable game as well apparently, it was the same in CBT where it went from systematic desyncs to systematic fps a occasional desyncs so I more and more opted to go for CV's to stop becoming bald out of frustration, CV's which could at least do something by autocklicking easymode when desynced. What am I as a player expected to do here, just give me a clear answer, I'll stop trying, I'll uninstall if it's not meant to work, but tell me Wargaming please, I've reported on this issue a few times in the forums and many others have as well, yet nothing seems to be done about it. PS. Please note I'm frustrated and I'm sorry if that shines through too much, but it is not at all enjoyable to log in and usually get roflstomped because you don't even get the chance to steer your ship let alone play with acceptable framerates. To the inevitable "get a better computer/ISP", no there's nothing wrong with my rig, I play MWO, WoT, Warthunder, AW etc. without issues, the game would run well without the spikes and desyncs. -
The problem first manifested itself early in CBT but was then corrected eventually, however now again with 0.4.0 it has reappeared and is keeping me from playing the game, I've managed to force through some games with extreme staggering after idling, also the problem seems to reduce in severity with more ships destroyed, window focus seems to have impact, latency/server lag also may likely play a role, but still it's hard to tell what is the cause as all of these could be side effects as well. 0.4.0 first introduced the dreaded desync bug among other things, it was however fixed within days, but then this appeared and it doesn't seem to go away. I've now two days in a row tried to enter and play a single game but it results in impossibly low(0 usually)framerates making me cannon fodder and useless in the beginning, I'm slowly losing my interest in even trying, the game is fun, but I'm not a masochist. So, I'm making this thread to bring some attention to the problem and to ask if more of you are having similar issues, there have been some of these kinds of threads posted in the feedback section yet I've not seen any kind of reply by the devs with a problem description or upcoming solution, like this one here: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/18172-sudden-fps-drops/ From the developers I would simply like to know when can I expect to play the game again, if it takes a while to fix the problem I'm fine with that, but just please tell me when so I don't have to keep getting frustrated for nothing. Cheers.

I get 0-3 fps at times, other times it's perfectly fine, I'm not sure if the issue is related to yours though but it does seem so. I've noticed that the lag indicator has a direct relation to the framerate apparently(possibly a side effect), window focus also plays part in the issue at times, when focusing another window suddenly the framerate can be fine, sometimes the opposite is true when taking off the focus the game gets millions ms in latency for some reason, which is then fixed when giving it focus again. Strange behaviour nonetheless and hoping for a fix, roughly 1/3 games are unplayable and turns me into cannon fodder.

I have this same issue in most games, it's definitely desync from the game state and the game never seemingly really manages to resync again.
