Yes, there are a few DD ships that have AA range more or less the same as the air detection range - meaning you never need turn AA off on some DD ships like Cossack, which was a bonus that I have. Seeing as both air detection and aa range is 2.5. But with this change the air detection range will become less than the aa range now, so no longer can you leave aa always enabled on the some dd ships like that.
  2. Yeah, I don't think planes should get the "detected warning" even when they can't see the ship. Planes are fast and can simply zig zag that area searching fast until they pickup the DD as detected. Ships can't do that like planes can when they get the detected warning (plus a DD can outrun a BB and most cruisers) to get out the area. So it should be removed for CV planes, as a DD can't outrun a plane A good point that really.
  3. I play CV now and then and even with 2.5 air concealment on most DD ships now. When you have rocket planes and first spot the DD - you are usually to close to launch the rockets and need fly past doing a turn and come back doing a blind run on the DDs last location arming the rockets before you spot him again heading in his last location seen. But with 1.5k air detection - that would make it much harder doing a blind run to have chance to make last minute slight adjustment and fire the rockets on target with him only popping up detected again at 1.5 and not 2.5k So this is defo a buff for DD against CV To me, 1.5k air detection pretty much means you're right on top of the DD now when you detect him after the turn doing a blind run to his last location. So if you're not bang on target - you won't really have the time make course adjustment and fire rockets.
  4. Yeah, it will affect DD also with good AA as well. But 40-60% reduction in Air Concealment means most DDs will drop from 2.5k to around 1.5k detection from air. How can CV use rockets to attack a DD with a 1.5k concealment. Did Enterprise CV just get made obsolete attacking DD with its rocket planes.

    That's the thing though... you needing to have that premium account running when playing stock T10 ships. You might as well get a premium T9 ship for coal or money (so long as it isn't a promo ship with no extra credit earnings) and play a T9 premium all the time. No need to keep buying premium air time then.

    You might be right. I remember when I played WOT and you used to earn credits better at one point playing stock tier 8 tanks. Then suddenly it seemed much harder to do. I guess they might well tweak the earnings.. as after all they want people to spend money on premium time, or a premium ship to earn credits better at T8.

    It's the same with WOT also. Tier 8 is the end point of earning credits playing in both with stock ships/tanks. After that you need be playing premium T9 ship to carry on earning (but WOT doesn't sell T9 Tanks), so your credit earning in that stop at T8
  8. Highly unlikely you'll make much money playing stock tier X ships, even with perma camo bought and used, plus premium account running as well. You might break even or make a little bit if you have a good game and run credit earning flags. But without that premium account running to help support the cost, and credit earning flags - it would probably cost you each game, if you play it with perma camo used but no flags or premium time. Really, tier X stock ships are more about playing them with a 19pt Captain and earning better free XP at a better rate than lower tiers. They are not about trying to grind extra cash. A stock tier X perma camo gives you 100% XP per game, which is more than a perma camo gives you at Tier 8. Best thing is to buy a T9 premium ship, for money or coal - as T9 also gives you the 100% XP camo and built in extra credit earning and gets you into T10 matches a lot

    Detectability range by air of all ships significantly reduced — by between 40-60%; === so wouldn't that make DDs around 1.5k stealth to CV. as they are around 2.5k now. So you'll literally have to fly right over a DD to spot it with planes if this change takes place. Don't think WOWS knows what it's doing. Planes with slow turn rate - the dd will be hidden again by the time you fly past it, turn and try and line up a shot - and you can't fire rockets at a DD spotted from 1.5k out, it's simply too close a range This change with AA as well. You have some premium ships that was sold based on them having great AA - Bart is one t9 premium with strong AA. But it won't have strong AA any longer with this planned changed to AA coming that means AA is just MEH on ANY ship for first 7 seconds that planes start attacking you

    WG must have changed something? I was in Conq other day, first time in ages and noticed the concealment was 13.something and not 12k. Thought it looked like even Conq concealment is not as low as it used to be
  11. It's happened before this a while back. Seems when another ship comes into spotting range the screen freezes for a split second like a stutter My ping is 35 and FPS are in the 83 mark using GTX 1050Ti card 4mb, and I'm seeing this screen stuttering as well now

    Sorry, I don't understand how the OP can say "Trading Steel". Not like you can pass it from one account to another one. Sounds like they have simply let other people use their accounts for clan battles... if I'm reading it right?

    What other games are you playing at the moment?

    Install that game again early this week. But it gets boring because all you're doing really is flying from one place to another all the time trading (or whatever to make money). It's okay at first doing it when new to the game (which by the way takes some getting into learning it), but sooner or later there's not much else to do and it's get boring fast.

    Have they changed the way Graff Zep now drops Bombs and shoot Rockets to the same way the stock German line CVs do now? or does Graff Zep still shoot rockets and drop bombs the same way it's always has done. Which is different from the new stock German Cvs

    Conq is similar I'd say. It's play style is much like Thunderer really, but Thunderer I hear has more accurate guns than Conq. Stay at range using the good concealment and farm from shooting HE. Conq is just another Lion, the only difference is that Conq has 12 guns and not 9. So you have more chance of a long range shot landing hits. But I've read dispersion is the same as lion and it's only the fact it has 3 extra guns that makes the slight difference landing shots

    AP bombs are just bad for using on GZ (unless they now change it to be same as the other German CVs just added) Dunno? Which wouldn't be so bad if the rocket and torps was great as a fall-back, but they are not. Only shoots a few rockets and doesn't drop that many torps either. It's a very average CV and hard to do consistently good damage over 50k per-match with it. It also doesn't have a great plane regen rate either, so not like you can keep throwing torp planes out mainly. Like you can with Kaga

    British Lion BB at T9 is just a bad ship, full stop Terrible guns that miss most of time and becomes frustrating just how bad the guns are, there's just nothing good about it. It's a ship to skip if you can and jump straight to Conq. Or you'll hate playing the Lion grinding it through to Conq. I hated it.. taking shots at things 20k away. The guns are like a farmers scatter gun, lucky if even one bullet land a hit

    pretty much why the EU T10 DD has taken the mantel from Shim now. It might not have smoke, but like you say with CV and Radar rife in top tier games now. A smoke screen isn't as big a gain anymore and the EU DD has much faster torps that still reach 15k (well outside ships detection radius), plus a much faster reload. it also has strong AA rating as well Sham 12k torps have 153s reload and 67 speed Halland 15k torps have 100s reload and 89 speed Fair enough, Shim 12k torps does 2x more damage per hit. But you have to get the hits and those torps on Halland are fast doing 89k to hit things from 12k range better than shim can at 12k range doing a rather slow 67knots A lot are playing the Halland now because of it

    if playing without smoke then the better bet now is the European DDs. 15k torps with faster reload and faster torps

    You can get 3 free containers per-day by playing that has nothing to do with that German set of missions. Go into your profile and enable the collection for German and it will pause the Anime collection (seems like 2 collections can't run together). So the 3 free boxes you can get each day will then drop things for the German collection and not the Anime girl one. But I found out the Anime collection paused the German one for some reason and had to enabled the German one that then paused the Animi collection - so now the free 3 loot boxes per-day drop for German collection and not the Anime one
