i think the point WG is trying to make, is when you reset your account you'll get protected MM for your first battles, so having a 10 or more point commander will give you an advantage vs the newbies...

As you get reduced xp and credits for co-op battles, you'll find it a lot harder breaking even in credits as you get to higher tiers - at some you're going to have to bite the bullet and join randoms, you'll struggle at first as the gen pop don't react like the bots in coop, but the rewards from each battle are worth it...
