To be honest it would not surprise me if we see many British BB and aircraft carriers apier 2 times in UK tree. Just look at HMS Repulse. the post refit 1939 ship was fundamentally different from the 1916 ship 1916 (1939) Displacment 27200 long Tons (34600 long tons) Max armour belt 152mm (229mm) Max Deck Armour 64mm (102mm) She got scout aircraft in 1939 Deck armour was also of a better design. She got better engines

game mechanics Maybe not but game play is huge!! Jet fighters in Korian war we SOOOO much faster than Prop planes. Hawker sea fury 740KMH (prop) F2H Banshee 933 KMH Also many nations in game will seize to exist as navy powers in 1945
-
Don't think the game will go much past 1945. Any one have the Tier 10 USS ESSEX yet? Reason i ask is this carrier shipped and used for the first time in combat Jet fighters in 1951. Also the 1950's we start seeing ship launched missiles with the conversion of boston class philjd, on 25 March 2015 - 02:42 PM, said: Nope, it is intended to cover from the start of the Dreadnought era to the end of WW2/Korea. None of the battleships in the Russia-Japanese war were Dreadnought era, so not included. Where do you get the Korea part from?

Brits uses Avengers torp bombers on fleet carriers from 1942 onwards with swordfish relegated to anti sub work. and operations from small carriers in 1943 RN started using the Fairey Barracuda torpedo/Dive bomber. US Dauntles could carry 2X250kg bombs and 1 500kg Barracuda used 750kg bombs against the Tirpitz

Its a game! if you want real world spotting then they should remove the Ship indicators on the MAP. also the markers over ships! and how about those little triangles above torpedoes! after all you can see the Torp Wake. Ships spotting distance is needed to balance the game.

Because its easer to see out of smoke in to clear air than to see in to smoke! this is a real life fact!

Co-op battles.... My problem with it......

swatdennis, on 24 March 2015 - 07:30 PM, said: I am playing a nice game of Co-op battle, a am getting completely killed....... and i need to wait BECAUSE IT IS IN A BATTLE WITH FREAKING BOTS??? Look at Navyfield 2, it calculates the EXP and Credits when you quit.... I hate waiting, and especialy because it is so EASY to calculate... I understand that in the PVP it is more difficult, but in Co-op I realy do not like waiting....... What do you think? Thanks for reading fellow captain, Swatdennis If the Xp is worked out in the same way as WOT, you hole team gets XP the more damage done to enamy team! what this means is lets say you do 40K damage you die! you current XP count is 800!!! if your team wins you get an xp bonus also if you team go on to kill the entire enamy team you get more of an XP than if they only kill half the team and win! dan_can, on 25 March 2015 - 08:03 AM, said: Were you the only non-AI-player on our team ? You don't understand Co-op! all the Enemy team is AI! Your team are all living breathing players! Well at least in all the Co-op games i have played -
First it is a bit funny RN is so down the line! but hay As for no carriers in Russian navy. Not an issue look at WOT Japs have Meds and Lights no TD/SPG or heavy tanks China has no SPG or TD

You missed 2!! Rule 11 Press P and turn of AA unless you think you are being attacked by aircraft or you acting as AA defence for a big ship! Your AA guns hugly increase you chance of being spotted. Rule 12 Use smoke to Hide allied ships. Only Use it yourself if you believe you have been spotted or about to be spotted! Smock is a huge give away to the enemy that you are in the area! Also the Quoted points are spot on. Point 1 is very important. If you are not sure of a hit and allies are in line of fire don't shoot. +1 sir,

Glancing torpedos shouldn't detonate or do more damage
T0byJug replied to KomissarBojanchev's topic in General Discussion
Was just pointing out to OP his statement that they were not invented when the low tier DD's were around was wrong! -
You are probably a Justin Beaber fan as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glancing torpedos shouldn't detonate or do more damage
T0byJug replied to KomissarBojanchev's topic in General Discussion
one other point to OP Magnetic detonates were first used by Germans in 1917 and by Brits in 1918 The tier 2 destroyers in game the Sampson Class were in commission 1916-1946 the Umikaze-class were in commission 1911-1930 -
Don't see an issue here. The EUA (end user agreement) says no shared accounts. Game rules don't allow BOTS So how can you play WOWS and WOT at the same time?

T0byJug replied to KomissarBojanchev's topic in General Discussion
Physics old chap Physics!!!! 1st point glancing blow douse more damage!!! Wrong damage depends on where the torpedo hits! more damage is done if it strikes in the engine room or magazine areas. 2nd point Glancing blows or ricochets almost never happen with a torpedo because of Physics. when the torpedo strikes the side of a ship at an angle the front of the torpedo slows down but the back of the torpedo is still being pushed forwould at a greater speed. this will make the angle in relation to the side of the ship greater and bring the Prucution cap in contact with the side of the ship. this is a very simple version of how it woirks but i hope you get the idea... -
If players want to only play co-op games i see no issue there! Ok a tier 1 ship in same game as tier 4 is a bit hard but i am guessing thats only because its BETA and the the mm was struggling to find you a game!

destroyers need nurf take away marker telling you where to aim torpedos
T0byJug replied to acm166's topic in General Discussion
There has been lots of discussions about this.. I am still at tier 4 for destroyers! DD bellow Tier 5 reload there torps a tad to fast! should be a little closure to tier 5 and 6 reload times. Last night i killed 2 Kongo Class BB in 1-2 min!- 59 replies

Hay Boys and girls a plea!!! Torpedo firing 101! 1 if you dont have a target don't fie! spamming Torpedoes at start of game just because you can, is more likely to kill a friendly over an enemy. 2, connected to 1 at low tiers 1-4 your torpedoes only have a range of about 6-8km so firing at longer range targets will do nothing apart from being dangerous to your team 3. If you are in close action with a enemy! keep a eye open to where your friendly are before you launch. That low possibility of hitting torpedo launch is fine if there are no friendly around but remember your fish are still in play after a miss. This weekend I was destroyed/damaged about 5 times in friendly fire incidents. 1 time from some guy spamming torps at start of match with no enamy in site 2 times where some one launched torps at a target 10km away his fish hit me 5km in front! (he had no chance of hitting target as his tops did not have range) 1 time was just bad luck the enemy avoided friendly torps and they hit me. Had a game yesterday where there was 2 destroyers and 2 Cruisers swarming round a single enemy destroyer (i was in a DD) the other 3 ships fired all there torps at that single DD. Chaos ensued as all 4 of use had to take extreme manuvers to avoid friendly Torpedoes. We could and did easily destroy him with guns! and i think only 1 Cruiser took a Torp hit But it could have been so much worse! there was about 15+ Torps in the water! 1 DD with 4 freindlies on all sides in close proximity

Got by reward already!!! Im playing Ships!!!!
-
You can do that in navyfeild? because if you are talking about realism that is way of the mark! in the age of Steam! Crews of ships had roles! you could not send a gunner down to the engine room a and expect him to power the ship! Crews all had defiant roles in combat. Moving crew from there set role to another just did not happen! (apart from maybe damage control/firefighting.

Subs would have a number of issues. Maps are too small the disadvantage of a sub is its low underwater speed would not be an issue. Also destroyers already have the roles of Smoke/Torpedoes and scouting! adding Anti Sub warfare to that would make them very complicated to play. In the game all ships can attack all other ships! if you had subs you would effectively be immune to BB/CV and all but some of the smaller Cruiser classes. Yes aircraft played a major role in WW2 in anti submarine warfare but that was only against surfaced and diving subs not subs already under the water. Also this game is based on the idea of fleet actions! Subs acting with the fleet was tried and tested by both the British and French navy and was an epic failer. one of the luckest things that for the Americans is that the Japanies constantly tried to operate there Subs as part of Fleet again largely a failer. Subs in game would be almost impossible to balance. eather usless (maybe restricting there dive time to a few mins) or WAY WAY over powerd Abou tthe only thing Subs did do well as part of fleet actions in the pacific was a as pickets! placed at chock points to spy on enemy fleet movements and the accatioal attack if they could catch them in thses bottle necks
-
Then it would be abused! People using this in destroyers to sneak round around and not be displayed on map.... Its not a open world so map edges is a non issue
-
Did you know the destroyer was first used by the British and was not even a destroyer its first definition was TORPEDO BOAT DESTROYER. They were born out of the invention of the torpedo and the birth of the torpedo boat. In there early days Torpedo boats were not all small boats like the E-boat/MTB or Eleco's of WW2 but larger sea going vessels of a hundred or so tones tons. these boats posed a Huge threat to the Supremacy of the Royal Navy! So the UK came up with the Torpedo Boat destroyer first being the Daring Class http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daring-class_destroyer_(1893) of about 250 Tons

Naval maritime events - This day in.......

U boat net is a great site that has been expanded with information about history and fate of all or at least most allied warships during WW2. I discovered this site some years ago while playing the silent hunter games -
this has happened a few times in fact U-2540 a Type XXI Boat was scuttled in 1945 in the baltic raised in 1957 (12 years on sea bed) and went on to serve in German navy from 1960 to 1968. Also USS Murphy was not realy sink she lost her bow and it was replaced 2 battleships were sunk at Perl Harbour raised and reused USS west Virginia and USS California A number of British submarines sunk and were raised renamed and reused. cant remember there names though
