Kongo Class BB was 222 metre long 31M Beam Clevland Class CR was 180 metre long 19M beam The diffarance in size was not as large as we Imagen it would have been

I hope it will be deployed first thing so i can leave my PC doing the update while i am at work!! Then can start Playing as soon as home!!! Before i go out for a drink!

Smoke itself was not Making DD OP the the amount of Deployments and the duration was. the fact a DD could spend half a match under its own smoke screen was to much. Its been reduced so a DD player has to think a bit before he deploys it! or if he deploys to often at start of game will not have it later when he really needs it.

I responded to the resant Beta Survey about this. i think Cap time should be dependent on class so a DD takes longer to Cap than a BB.

Yep Like lights in WOT DD are a hard class to master. This is a good thing! its called a challenge. A good light tank player takes pride in the fact he/she is good in lights a Good DD player the same! Not doing well go play a BB they are more forgiving. Want a chalange want those epic battles Play a DD..

Yup we can also hope that as another reward for Beta+ players there will be some in game reductions like they do in WOT from time to time this weekend Warspite def on my repurchase list

This is a huge advantage to you!!! Beta players and above will be in higher tier ships when you start. so apart from a few scum-bags that stay Low tier to seal club most experienced players will not be in the same matches as you when you start playing.

Pretty sure you will only find out after open beta starts Plan for the bottom Rung (the 59%) then you can only be pleasantly surprised. Personally with 463 games In PVP and 20 in PVE I am in this group. -

Any one else finding fighters an issue . Face fighters of 1 tier higher and you lose big time! Example 2 fighter squadrons from Independence fights 1 from Ranger i lost 5 planes to kill 1 then another Ranger squadron turns up I lose 12 fighters to kill 1. I had all fighter upgrades and had the air groups modifications 1 and 2 as well. Yes a tier higher fighters should be better but able to kill 5 to 1 when outnumbered by two. Possible solution MM should only match CV of same tier or cut down the discrepancy gap between tiers

I completely understand. It works the way it douse because planes attack line abreast if they make TP and DB attack line ahead (like they did) the AAA would of cause have to be changed accordigly -

For me the thing they should change is not the distance or damage of a drop. But how the drop happens. Torpedo planes almost never attacked in line abreast launching torps at the same time! They almost always attacked staggered or line ahead (line ahead being most common) An attack Line abreast is a bigger target for the AAA and the plane too you left and right get in your way while you were lining up. Make an attack last 20 Secs with a continues stream of torps one after the other that the ship has to try to manover to avoid! -

My understanding was in a previease patch you cant have a division with 2+ CV as teamed CV were just to power full. I think all agree a higher tier fighters should be better. But look at the table tier 6-7 is over double the DPM. T hats just silly

arrr i Get ya!!! thought you ment in match RNG not match maker!! Its a shame as apart from Fighter planes the way ships work in WOWS mean that being bottom tier is no where close to being an issue as it is in Tanks!

There is no RNG element! meet Tier 7 fighters With tier 6 its an Auto lose even if you outnumber you opponent 3 to 1

Ok i have only Tier 6 CV and have not looked what there in later tiers but are you telling me there is no Grumman F6F Hellcats in game? Seriously the most common Allied Carrier plane of the war. The Vought F4U was considered not carrier worthy by the US Navy when it was first deployed and was given to the Marines. It was the Royal navy that ironed out the issues with Vought carrier operations. The US navy did not make this plane Carrier active till half a year after the RN did. The tier 6-7 jump is just silly!

Thing is this is broken. Being fighter cover should be a viable option. It was proven again and again during WW2 the only effective aircraft counter measure was other aircraft. The only time AAA cam even partially effective was when the Japs started using obsolete aircraft with unskilled pilots as Kamikaze. before that the saying the bomber always gets through was true if there was no fighter cover. Both on land and at sea. And until they implement AP bombs for dive bombers. They are little more than an announce to the enamy

Ship torps were always pre loaded in Port! also subs in WW2 almost always left port with tubes loaded. See my comment above it was only Jap DD that even had space to store torpedoes
