Ow stop it its a game!! yes in reality DD did not go up against BB's Cruisers would avoid battle with BB at all cost as well. but then this game would be world of battleships with no other class played!! Ow no i forgot there would be carriers!!! By by BB. Ship based AA was almost completely ineffectual during WW2 or at least no where close to what it is in game! There would be no BB or CA (Cleveland) downing 40 Bombers! they would say they had a huge success if they downed 5.

These numbers mean absolutely every thing! read the post i was quoting the guy was saying there are 5+ DD in every game!!! these numbers say different. CV are at 7% because they are weak low tiers so many give up by tier 6 or 7 and also there is a maximum of 2 per team so the maximum CV in a battle can only be 16% The numbers have no meaning to how powerful a ship class is, just how popular!!! trust me i know how good a well played hight tier CV is.

I dont think High tier CV need a buff! but the game-play of lower tier need something doing to them as People are giving up on Carriers at tiers 6-7 and never getting to those T8 and above ships

Ok I Dont have a tier 10 Ship but if tier 10 make up 7% of ships that can see tier 10 games I am pretty sure Tier 10 only douse not happen that often. tier 9-10 ships CA make up 23.4% tier 8+ Ca make up 35.6% of ships due to the tier 8 prem Cruisers. This % will only increase with time as there are 2 more tier 8 Prem CA's incoming You could however be very right something may need to be done with high tier CA's as there douse seem to be a sharp drop of in Cruiser players the higher up the tiers you go. I dont think limiting the amount of BB/DD is the answer though as it would just push fleet make up towards be same each match

If this helps!! I have played all American DD to 7, Jap to 7 and Russian to 6. This polish DD started with a deficient commander, 3 skill points All my other DD had 10 skill points before they went above tier 5. Błyskawica is the DD i have the most Fun with. I almost did not buy it as said by others its no good as a crew trainer! But its the 1 ship currently in game that i have walked the decks of so i just HAD to get it. Never regretted it for a second. and i bought it the first time round when it was 30€. Go get it you will not be disappointed if you like DD's. @ Kartoffelmos Go play some Russian DD Tier 4+ if you like them you will love the polish DD. If you start with the Błyskawica at tier 7 after so long of not playing DD i think its a big step!

In reality it's mostly needed when you want to take advantage of the smoke created by OTHER player, knowing if you are in or out your own smoke doesn't require something like this (If you are familiar with the rules on how it's applied... There is a nice tutorial explaining it around... But in short: move at 1/4 and stop as soon as the message "smoke screen deployed" is played). you are almost correct!!! that is to say sitting still in the smoke can be vary dangerous as well. I like to keep moving! Be it slowly. going for would and reverse and even changing heading within the cloud that has been deployed

you dont get it!! if you are in smoke you can shoot without being spotted!! the hole reason for people wanting to have an indicator is to prevent them being spotted!! if you shoot and it comes up im spotted for 20 secs (because you was not in the screen) its to late. This issue is from your ship smoke you are in is transparent so you have no way to be sure if your in the smoke field or not This is an issue for US DD and a huge issue for the Russian gun boats. as well as other ship classes wanting to take advanatage of smoke dropped by both friend or foe

@ Myrmix!!! its to late if you are spotted the hole reason people want it is so you know when you will stay hidden. @MTM78 and idea i suggested is washed-out colours or Black and white when in smoke cloud! But as you said defiantly no border mark on the screen

Boring thread Nothing to argue about!!! some indication that your ship is in a smoke screen would defiantly be nice whether you were the one that dropped it or just using it! be it dropped by friendly or enemy ship. Another option would be something like washed out colours or even Black or white while in the cloud

someone under 30 plays ships!!!!!!!!!! Don't believe it post you University ID. On topic!! Clans and a proper working friends list is rely needed in this game. The clans could be separate from tanks or Ported across (if separate it would be a nice gesture for WG if they allowed Tank clans that already exist to create a ships clan of same name free of charge. To note Im using a team chat called Curse its Works well with ships. Division up with someone and they have curse you automaticly place a call with them

The Warspite in Game is Post 1937 Refit!!! All Torpedo Tubes were removed in that refit so you would not get them anyway. Also as stated the Tubes were non directional and u aimed with the hole ship.

do you have ANY mods installed? if so remove them and see how it goes. Its the same in world of tanks the vast majority of crashes like this involve Mods!! i play both vanila and almost never have an issue If not please post your system stats!!!
