Another genius here, planes are not ammunition, CVs already have endless ammo. They also have endless pilots, which did not happen in real life.

Actually, is very simple. They were introduced as cruiser killers (good AP) and DD hunters (good hydro) and it really worked THEN. But then meta changed, with less cruisers and minimum 5 BBs per tem (good luck competing with them to hunt the diminishing number of cruisers), and introduction of radar made hydro useless. So, they became obsolete. Giving them better AP angles would work, but again mostly against cruisers, and not many cruisers now, while this solution works better against the 5 BBs per team in the current meta. Yorck even has 210 mm HE which will pen 53 mm armor, I m tented to buy it back, because it also gets the favorable tier 7 MM. I liked playing them (except Karlsruhe when it was the worst tier 4, before being buffed), but stopped at Roon, which is a great [edited]-showing WASD hacker, because there was no reason to go for Hindenburg in the current meta. But now maybe it is.

WGs way of reworking CVs seem to be to make a few OP P2W premiums for the 1% spenders out of the 1% CV players, and the rest? Screw them.

But he s right. I guess the guys that argue with him don t play cruisers. Only a few cruisers (and only Cleve mid tiers) reach 7.2 km AA, and that only when you specc them fully AA. There are 5 BBs per team every game, CVs only from time to time. Because of this my mid tier cruisers are IFHE specced, is more useful than AA specced (even for Cleveland). All my high tier cruisers are not AA specced, because there are even less CVs on higher tiers. I have a Des Moines which is not AA specced because CVs planes avoid it like the plague anyway. Instead of Def AA I use Hydro mostly on Des Moines because it synergizes well with Radar for hunting DDs, and also on Kutuzov (which is also IFHE specced and not AA specced) because of the torps you ll get in the smoke. And those are the best AA ships in game (dont have a Minotaur). Get a grip.

So, WG is preparing 3 new premium ships this month. However, those will be screwed by the tier 6 awful MM. Is it worth to spend money to get a ship in which you will almost never be top tier?!

You already have a tier 6 premium, if you also buy that tier 8 premium, and use them, it should be enough. Also you can keep a few normal tier 7 ships that you like as moneymakers. Alternate between playing these and the high tiers.

Actually, a single ship even, has a too important impact on the game. That is the CV real issue. And because of this, the bigger the skill difference between the 2 opposing CV players, the bigger the issue becomes. Something that does not happen for BBs, DDs or cruisers.

Read more, it will widen your horizons. Reading is good for you. Cruisers are the designed class to counter DDs, not CVs. DDs counter BBs and BBs counter cruisers. Thisis the paper-rock-scissors principle of the game, balancing the classes between them. And then come the carriers, who can counter anything, BBs, DDs, other carriers, even cruisers on defensive AA fire cooldown, while having no other counter itself than an AS carrier. Totally balanced class.

Yes, I know, when the game was launched, unless all the ships were moving all together in a huge blob, there was no chance to defend against a CV. Not funny at all. So all the ships should stick together and go the same place, only the CV has the liberty to go wherever on the map. Destroyers should not go cap because capping means going solo. *edit*

The impact of CVs on the game is still too much compared to any other classes. This is why the special atack was removed from low tiers, where there is no AA. And the 10 BBs/game are important customers for WG, they buy Tirpitz or Hood for 100 euros. WG cant afford to loose them. The 1% CV players? They can buy OP P2W premium carriers if they can aford it, or get lost. This seems to be the new WGs policy regarding carriers.

I guess you did not played the game from the start, to notice how broken the CVs were then. May I suggest you WoWp?

15 k base XP means 10 decent games of 1.5 k XP/game, considering you get only wins, at 18min/game to ease the math, is 180 minutes, so it was at least a 3 hours grind even if you were on a winning streak... which you probably were not, with the weekend teams.

The CV fanboys have to understand that the other 11 players in your own team are not happy to be just the escort for a carrier, even if it became the most important ship towards the end of WW2 (debatable with the sub/destroyer pair). Not to mention the other 11 players in the enemy team. Also, WG realised that the most numerous paying customers are not the 1% CV players, but all the others. Dont expect an increased role for CVs in the future. CVs golden age was right at the launch of the game, until WG realised they were ruining the fun for all other classes and chasing away customers.
