Even then it s hard. You may be the only DD in your team or the other DD in your team derps and dies early, and you have to cap. Kagero is another one trick poney, in a game my team had 2 Kageros vs 2 other DDs and was a one sided game.

In a domination game when I support and follow a capping DD, what I sometime do with cruisers with good concealment at the start of the game is go broaside to the cap (while undetected, so be careful in CV games because planes can spot you) and the enemy team, when the DDs spot each other, try to get a full broadside on the enemy DD (a good Mogami hit could mean half of its HP gone) and then turn and show the asss. It s much shorter to do a half turn than a full turn, and you dont get to show broadside while spotted. Follow behind your DD like 5 km, when he enters cap, turn broadside and slow down to 1/2 or 1/4, you will still be unspotted when DD s spot each other (enemy DD should be at 10 km from you so Mogami is still unspotted) shoot one broadside salvo, then gtfo of there, behind an island if possible.
