    Follow/shadow of allied ships

    This was a way too sail in Navyfield and very usefull to prevent hitting (ramming wasnt possible, silly game...) and moving around as a team....So I say it would be a good adding... course and/or speed control to follow a ship on the currect relative position

    Endless Torpedo Spam

    In the game Navyfield, endless, torpedowalls were very annoying. Destroyers loosing them and retreating... however, this was bound to a limit number of reloads, so that made shooting them blindly not so attractive... But then again, because this isnt a sim, there will always be ways to put the best use to your ships abilities, a destroyer with endless torpedos is perhaps too powerful, but on the other hand, why else would you play destroyer?... I know I am talking to deafmans ears... but when destroyers would have a mine and/or submarine detection system they would be very usefull without being very powerfull offensively. These things might make it more insteresting to play as a team. Playing medic in a FPS is fun, because you can help your teammates out and get rewarded for it without having to be a top shooter. This makes it fun to play for less than perfect players who;s reflects aren't those of a game-addicted 15-year old... But I will wait with all my complaining and/or commenting untill I've played for myself... ahoy!

    Aiming MOD Exposed!

    +1 Hear Hear, fully agree! It is a game, and yes it is nice to win from time to time... but winning whilst cheating... I don't know... wouldnt feel like winning at all.... So, tar them, feather them and let me lose properly from a better player than me (which is the majority out there..... )

    Correct DestoryerO_o, Adding; back then visibility of ships was further influenced by height and smoke... yes, smoke. The coal steamed engined were visibible for many more miles than diesel powered ones... The coal smoke stack was big, contrasting and very high... A little later also sound became important as submarines could listen you out for a very large distance AND sound is important at night and/or when visibility is very low (especially pre-radar). Sound was made by the engines, the props and the breaking of water... so a smooth running submarine (like a... you know.... through... you know) was less detectable that a squarish merchant vessel with a "cheap" and less than perfect prop... This was also a choice of course, props are chosen to perform speed, power, acceleration, economy, etc.... That's why later ships got pitch controlled props to effect a number of these factors.... But I guess it will make a very difficult model to bring in all those effects I guess...
  6. I really don'n like waiting... however, it is nice to see the game initiate from the start to where it is now... Makes you appreciate even more, excuse me saying so, that games brouhgt out by new companies are sometimes finished without all the testing etc. Nowadays the company has two titles to gain income for covering the time to create the third part... How do companies do that without having a title doing that for them? Like WOT started... And how many do not succeed? Maybe brand new gamemakers don't care about bringing out a not finished product because people will forgive them, however, first impressions are very important... Like they say in China (I heard) "a good name comes on foot and leaaves by horse".... A now again... back to waiting...

    Ye quick beginners guide to World of Warships

    Regarding the distances and the sort of armor used... Does it make a difference which part of another ship you shoot or does the whole ship has a sort of "armor-score"? All that is clear to me is that you can hit the bridge and that does make a difference, but can you for instance, hit a turret or a plane-launcher etc.?
