Ok. And how did you "tweak" that file? Just curious since I have brutal fps-drops since the last patch. (From usual 75 to around 7-8 almost every battle - and most often it get stuck in the lower fps so the game becomes unplayable).

Anyone else having packet loss right now?
TinCanCrusher replied to mtm78's topic in General Discussion
I never ever had any problems with WOWS up until this patch? A lot of people write about packetloss here (and yes, my ping jumps more than usual) but my fps is worse. Several times during a battle it drops from 75 to around 7!? However, if I use the "Win" button and minimize the game, and then quickly maximize it again - I'm back to 75 fps? Isn't that a sign of graphical issues more than connection issues like packet losses? -
Got stuck on 240 so I guess it's the lottery for me. Well well. Just wanted to add that I enjoyed "Project R" a lot. It was a fun community contest. I just found out about it a bit too late to reach 260 but that's not the end of the world. (Because I feel lucky, lottery lucky!) ;)

Where is that thread? Can't find it? Deal with it? Working as intended? What self-righteous answers. The fact is that getting stucked at the border should include some kind of penalty instead (since it's a royal f*ckup), not extra protection. For instance, you shouldn't be "protected" by RNG when your ship is touches the border line, all well aimed shoots at you should hit or something like that. Make it painful to not look where you are going.

I can ping the map ...with all ships except when I play CV? Very very annoying.

In general I think the game works outstandingly well for me, and the graphic looks very good. Just found some minor details that may be on my end... or yours? First. Most important is that the score count (on the top of the screen) is off. I just had a battle where it said 3-1 in numbers but the icons showed 3-5 to the enemy team? Didnt count to see which was correct but this has happened several times now, most often in the first half of the battle (at least what I have noticed?) Also. Sometimes (not every time though) it takes up to a minute before the port graphics shows up when I log in. All menus, sounds etc are in place, it's just the ship/water graphics missing? This started after the latest patch update, never happened before. It's not a mayor concern since I am able to start battles etc anyway but it just looks wrong. (I never seen/had it (i.e. the black screen) anywhere else in the game, only directly after log in). Another thing I noticed is lag on the "Carrier map" (where you set waypoints for you aircraft's). Sometimes the airplane squad icon(s) freezes. It only concern fighter squads though (and only when they fight another squad of fighters). It becomes a bit confusing when you don't see how the fight is turning out, if the enemies flees etc. Neither have I seen the same problem with TB's or otherwise? My first thought regarding this was lag between my computer and the server but since it happens consistently now every CV battle - and all other icons (and the map itself etc) are working fine during the time - I thought I'd bring it up here just in case. Another minor detail is that it's not specified in the credit/xp earning page when we get bonus for a mission. I just shows up on the end result. For example, I just had Langley battle where I earned 140k credits according to my result. But when I clicked on my credit/xp earning page it stated "total" 175k credits without any further explanation. (Apparently I received 35k extra for the "Flames in the sky" misson or whatever it name was?). I found that out first when I got back to port. No biggie but it seems to be space enough on the earning page to put in a "Bonus reward" line in the specs. Just to make it less confusing. Finally a request. I'm still a noob and maybe I missed this... but is there an easy (or could it be an easier?) way to see the range of the secondary armament during battle? (Mostly for BBs and maybe Carriers). As it is today I have no idea when the secondary armament kicks in to help me during a brawl and a marker for this could be the difference between turning against or away from an enemy. Maybe a discreet circle that lights up to mark the range in the water when you are closing in on it or an assigned key to show the range or include it in "alt"... or something like that? Thanks! ---------------- My computer specs: Win7 64 Intel i5-3570 3,40Ghz 8 GB Ram GeForce GTX 660 SSD discs

Carriers are OP, Battleships are OP, Cruisers are OP, Destroyers are OP

* delete *... Edit: I just wanted to edit away my complains. After playing some more I don't think torpedoes or CVs are OP in low tiers. You just got to learn to play each ship correctly.
