Like the idea. Not as a nerf but to add a tiny bit of realism. Not the biggest fan of all these gimmicks tbh. @OP: you said lock on through smoke? So at least DDs had the torp indicator to have an idea where the target is roughly moving?

Du arbeitest anscheinen auch für WG...

Yeah ok I get that. But each line has a characteristic which should - more or less - represent the design philosophy for that type of ship and navy historically. Apart from IJN BBs (which were far from being snipers) and the fictional Russian fleet these national characteristics work out pretty ok when compared to the real design philosophies. For example for British BB bigger main caliber would be a theme or accelerated fire speed at the cost of survivability for the BCs and so on. Not saying it is typical for the British Navy to forget one of the shell type though ... But what would be typical? What could have been used?

Sorry - serious question (as I didn't play the RN): What would have been a reasonable characteristic in you guys' opinion? All I read is "they are gimmicky / garbage". USN - AA & fire volume, escorts - makes sense IJN - raw firepower & torpedoes - also reasonable HSF/KM - strong AP - can understand that as well RU - well the line itself is a surprise - nuff said So what are RN cruisers known for? They were cheap and available in numbers, ok but what makes them recognizable? Again, not RN bashing but a serious question. Don't have an answer myself tbh.

Shinonome's torps are 6km? Don't understand WG - if any weapon the IJN was famous for it was the torpedo. And Campletown got 7.5km torp Range? I dunno - just started with the line and was looking forward to a premium Fubuki class as I really like the ships. But a little more torp range would be nice? Say 10 like Myoko?

Mein Fazit nach einem Jahr World of Warships!

Kannst Du dazu irgendetwas sagen? Grüße und viel Erfolg in deiner neuen Rolle!

A well implemented convoy mode would be awesome and finally add a breath of objectives to the game - rather than being limited to the damage dealing game. Objectives open the opportunity to shape class roles again. Other nice mode would be island capture with the support of Landing vessels. I think some tactical depth (and with that - teamwork) would benefit the game a lot. For now I am curious what the black Nikolai is doing for Halloween.

Thank you and welcome to the fleet, captain! Driving these ships in a stock configuration can be indeed challenging... :-) currently doing it with Bayern and Amagi. Bayern is absolutely ok, Amagi... well beautiful but a tough nut against Bismarcks, Friedrichs, Yamatos, etc

Welcome to the fleet! I knew you would like these rust buckets :-) Yes, where to draw a line? I would say WNT - Bayern stock is a formidable (super) dreadnought for sure and fun to sail in her WW1 config! Amagi.... well she's kind of the dreadnought age's last Hurra. Certainly a challenge Stock at T8

Moment mal!

Ok national pride seems to be a thing here. My point of complain is more thr passive game play these ships promote. Smoke spam, stay back, all the boring stuff. I am just happy they don't do bow-on reverse paddle
-
Frustrated indeed. The only time I recently played was to check for myself how convenient the Brit CAs can be citadelled (which was worth the sortie). These grind missions are crap and boring - just put the ship in the damn shop. Btw did not play WOT for long and remember now why. Still like WOWS but a couple of things like Albert spoil the fun.

"Well Done" to WG - The new weather effects look stunning!

Nice :-) Yeah visuals are amazing in general. That's definitely a big plus for the game and sets it apart from eg. Steel Ocean. I think criticism is more towards balance, questionable mechanics and lack of objective based team play. However - +1 for bringing up the good of it !! -

Very interesting feedback here :-) Haven't played WOWS since weeks because I am still pissed off that WG didn't release Koenig Albert. But all the whining here encouraged me to take my Koenig out and have a look myself. I expected tons of Brits to shoot at but was happy to meet at least a few (and citadel them). The ones I met were rather passive (smoke, retreat, spam). Perfect to make the meta more stalemate. My guess is we'll see some changes to the line rather soon. But still, Why are there so few?? Are ppl already giving up?

Myoko - Survivability Expert, Advanced Firing Training or Demolition Expert?

Turret traverse and the one that keeps you going after hits to the rudder and engine (last stand? Forgot the name). Both are really useful -

I also went for DE and didn't regret it. It doesn't make a huge difference tbh because of the relatively high base value and mediocre fire volume. However, fires are a strength among this line and went with the principle of "strengthen strengths". For AA you can still rely on the magic button which will do it in critical situations. Apart from that dealing more damage is a plus. I have btw a different problem: I took two lvl 2 perks alteady meaning I need a 17 point captain to get concealment. This will take a while
