The B and C hulls are WG's vodka fantasy. They don't have a soul, are idiotically top heavy and cheap copy-paste. The conning tower is copied from Nagato, same as range finders on the turrets, the funnel is copied from Yamato (!) which was some 30,000t larger (that's why it looks idiotic) and the bow is modelled after Akagi's after her conversion to a carrier. None of these elements are convincing to me - so I HOPE for the T7 premium ship instead. The A hull was actually pretty well done and one of the possibilities how she might have looked towards late 20s.

I read somewhere (forgot where) that one of the designs for Amagi indeed had this trucked funnel design. There are also some plastic models out there that look strikingly similar :-) As Amagi was never finished we don't know for sure but it it not unlikely that she would have pretty much like a longer, more elegant 1920 Nagato with the two funnels. That's true.

Aaaaargh! No :-) Amagi A-hull is just beautiful!!!! I like the curved funnel on Mogami and Tone a lot to be fair.

Moin Take, Wie immer schöner Artikel :-) Ich hatte auch schonmal über die M-Klasse als Premium nachgedacht. Kreuzersplit könnte kommen, dann aber eher Kreuzer/Panzerkreuzer Split ab T6. Für die M-Klasse war ich witzigerweise auch beim Nebelgenerator gelandet. Irgendwo bei einer kleinen Kutusow. Das und weil ich kein großer Freund von anachronistischen Tier Einteilungen bin hätte ich sie ebenfalls mindestens auf T6 eingeordnet. Je nach dem, wir mächtig der Rauch wäre. Die Geschütze sind meiner Meinung nach ok, auch noch auf höheren Tiers. Als Spielstil würde so eine Mischung aus Leichtem Kreuzer und Zerstörer herauskommen, was wie ich finde ganz gut zum Schiff passen würde. Als Name hätte ich übrigens etwas mit "M" vorgeschlagen, vorzugsweise "Magdeburg". +1

True. Just prefer her original appearance over the first refits. In my opinion Nagato as built was a gorgeous ship. With each refit it went downhill but that's just me :-)

Habe auch die Feuerrate drin aber 1-2km extra wäre bei all den campenden BBs manchmal echt was feines!

War aber wohl der Plan. Ich hoffe bloß, WG lässt sich vom Genörgel am Mutsu Konzept nicht von Ashitaka abbringen!

Chitose, Akagi, Kaga und Shinano könnten einen zweiten IJN CV Baum bilden. Evtl noch Jonjo. Die unklare CV Zukunft lässt mich aber vermuten, dass Akagi stattdessen als Premium kommt. Scheint leider aber nix Neues zur Ashitaka zu geben :-(

Nope! At Jutland there where roughly 40 British Capital ships versus 20 German + a couple of obsolete pre dreadnoughts. Meaning about 60 capital ships out of about 200. You might be right about cruisers as most of these were destroyers. However Jutland was the only battleships clash with modern battleships. In the WW2 pacific theatre this game is modelled after there were 2 (!). Not more. However these are fruitless discussions. Either you make a game with multiple classes - then you need to make all classes equally viable or you do a game about a single class. In between stuff doesn't work.

I think Mutsu will be a lot of fun! Just watched the Russian stats video and she looks promising to me. My only (small) complaint is the curved funnel - it looks silly. But I guess that didn't want her original configuration because of AA. At least she has some 40mm autocannons and 127mm AA guns even if not many. But that shouldn't be an issue.

Agree Hans. But at the moment BBs are overrepresented and WG is nevertheless hesitant to rebalance them. And knowing that WG prefers the big nerf hammer over some (maybe even multiple) smaller steps I would be afraid if they go that route.
