Only Sverdlov would be "real". The rest will be a varying degree of paper, started but unfinished and fantasy, topped up with fantasy modifications on the few existing ships making them also fiction (eg. Gangut).

They shouldn't make ALL premium ships OP. I still think Mutsu will be competitive

Hi atomskytten, This is a great initiative! While I believe my preference for dreadnoughts might not be in question I am fulfilling the second prerequisite as well. I have more than 1 dreadnought in my harbour and it would be an honour to join.

Interesting discussion. 1) I don't mind paper ships as long as they were at least fully designed but unfinished for whatever reason - like Montana, Mackensen or the H-Class. These ships add an interesting "what-if" scenario to the game 2) I am slightly annoyed by the napkin drawing kind of ships as they tend to outperform the real ones in comparison (eg. Roon and Budyonni to pick two). Real ships should be the real stars imo 3) I am extremely pi*ssed off by WG ruining real ships by adding fantasy refits. I hate Amagi's B hull for that and half of the German BB line. WG somehow can't get that right. That said @OP: you should count Kaiser and Bayern as paper as they are barely recognizable any more. Koenig I would say is still somehow close enough I'd say. Conclusion? I don't mind arcade and I don't even mind done well done what-if plays. I am just against overboarding fantasy.

A bridge view would be a nice gimmick :-) Probably rarely used but a nice feature for ship lovers

It's fair to agree to disagree :-) I hate overboarding superstructures but love the clean and purist looks of the WW1 dreadnoughts. Derfflinger is easily one of the most elegant warships of all time for me :-) However I love also how stock Amagi looked so at least I would be extremely happy about a premium Ashitaka!

I really try to like them and get into them but it's not real fun. The total absence of action and the boring top down map combined with slow pace but incredibly strong strikes is weird. You just don't FEEL commanding a carrier. It's just bad. Examples of good CV gameplay are Battlestations (ok you could even fly yourself there) or Fleetcommand (modern times but not bad). Difference is that you feel being part of a carrier here and not just moving anonymous arrows around the map. I have big hopes for the CV revamp but fear the worst. I think they got it wrong from the start. Ridiculous AA doesn't help either but is not the core of the problem I'd say. Just copy the Battlestations mode including manual plane control where needed :-)

They could do but considering the negative perception they don't. Which is smart imo. Furthermore they use premium ships as test beds. That's probably why some end up ridiculously OP (Nicolai). Should these be nerfed? I would say no and I don't own one. I think it is the right thing to do to sell something and freeze the stats so ppl can count at least on that. If you want ppl to invest it needs to be kind of predictable. So no to premium ship nerfs.

Got detected by this radio crap a lot lately in my Bayern and my Shinonome. Wasn't really a problem. The new skill system looks interesting but builds seem to be less versatile to me so far. Need to try around a little more

But Warspite is SOOOOOOOO ugly!!! I certainly prefer Mutsu :-) Agree, that stats wise she looks ok. I was just really surprised about the negative reaction on the NA forums. For me she's an insta buy!

Königsberg is good Yorck is good just different to the rest of the line Roon is REALLY fun Hindenburg is decent as well So I am sure you will have fun with the line. I even liked Nuernberg but the meta changed since. The only ones I didn't like where Kolberg and Hipper. Kept Emden, Karlsruhe/Coeln, Yorck, Roon and Hindenburg. Like the fast AP with good trajectory (apart from Yorck) and the secondaries on Roon. Hindenburg pumps out damage but her AP is light and can be frustrating at times in the high tier camp fests.
