Dude we are still waiting for a single clever statement from you. The point still stands: Monq rewards strongly for skill-less gameplay which is on top toxic. You’ve admitted HE doesn’t require much skill to use and even HE only - though not optimal - will let you come out above average. Stats wise the ship fares at least as good as the others while not asking for anything from the player. I get it you try to be funny but you are not and you simply come across annoying.

I think if they change the DWTs to also hit cruisers the ship might be ok. I mean it still can’t cap fight which would be a problem on case there are only one or two DDs per side. But at least she could fight the majority of targets. I mean, they could also allow torp change in game like ammo switch. 20km DWT or say 8-10km normal torps...?

Präzise Geschütze...? Die Deutsche BB Dispersion ist ziemlich die schlechteste. Macht aber auf T3 nix - ich fahre immer bis in Secondary Range, da trifft sogar die Albert. Und ja sie ist sehr stark aber aus anderen Gründen als die Genauigkeit. Der Punkt ist bloß, vorher war sie etwas zu stark, heute ist die Bellophon genauso gut. Und Orion ist gnadenlos OP. Aber low tier balance scheint kaum jemanden zu jucken.

Nee Roon ist in der Tat ziemlich sinnfrei. Finde von den WG Kreationen eigentlich nur die Yorck und die Myogi gelungen. Dem Rest sieht man die Unnatürlichkeit leider sehr an. Die FdG finde ich nicht so schlimm ehrlich gesagt aber GK... naja Hindenburg ist ja im Prinzip eine Eugen mit Drillingen - vom Einsatzkonzept eher unglaubwürdig, vom Ausssehen finde ich sie jetzt nicht weiter dramatisch. Bloß diese Refits... Wie im anderen Fred andiskutiert gibt es aber ja noch jede Menge Linien, die noch kommen könnten: - Schlachtkreuzer T3-7 (10) - Panzerkreuzer - Panzerschiffe T6-10

Naja, die Deutschen kleinen Kreuzer hatten zu der Zeit 10.5cm Kanonen. Die Schlachtschiffe 24cm, da sind 21cm schon eindeutig auf der Capital Ship Seite (als was sie auch zählten). Im Prinzip etwas kleinere, schnellere Hilfsschlachtschiffe.

Ja das ginge auch aber dann hat man zwischen 5 und 6 einen 180 Grad Wechsel / Bruch. Die Panzerkreuzer wären besser als low Tier BBs untergebracht (Prinz Adalbert, Gneisenau, Blücher). Waren ja im Prinzip Pre-Dreadnought Battlecruisers. Die Panzerschiffe sind ja im Gegensatz dazu einfach überarmierten Kreuzer, da würde man ab T6 eine nette (Teil-) Linie zusammenbekommen.

Spee auf T6 und Scheer auf T5? Ich würde sagen, WG hat sich festgelegt. Fände einen Split ab T6 dann aber schön in einen Panzerschiff Baum.

Don’ get me wrong - I am really looking forward to the line and I want the ships to be competitive. But the IJN sniper dispersion pattern + the current very long FR range isn’t going to happen. In general It doesn’t look like WG is keen on giving new BBs a sniper pattern (Roma, even Kii got reduced sigma) - and mind you the IJN was one of the first lines. I think they try to steer away ppl from BB sniping but not hugely successful do far I guess. You have a point though about ppl are sniping regardless - every time I see a German BB sniping I want to scream. However I doubt WG will create another preferred-style- sniper line in the current state of the game. Just my thoughts you are obviously entitled to your opinion and wishes However I am still kind of missing a role/identity for these ships - not sure if they really have one yet? EDIT: I like secondary guns for the fun of brawling - these guns set an appropriate scene though they are not super effective

I wouldn’t say „ppl“ care about secondary guns - I just find them fun. Japanese pattern would be a horrible idea as it would promote sniping big time (range is already beyond reasonable). Hope they don’t do that!

Genau das ist doch das Problem. Die Torpedos, die eigentlich einen großen Anteil der Feuerkraft der IJN Kreuzer stellen, werden zu dümmlichen Gimmicks degradiert. In Wirklichkeit haben Torpedos einen Kompass und können auch direkt nach vorn geschossen werden. DAS sollten die IJN Kreuzer haben!

I had the same thoughts on secondary guns - I think I try a semi secondary build but my feeling is it will be not optimal. Re: Dunkerque - I love mine! Play her for to seldom but the ship is fun. And special without being gimmicky

Ja richtig. Ich denke ein kleines bisschen Liebe würde den Powercreep ausgleichen - und es braucht keine Gimmicks hier.

I was pretty hyped about Gascogne but the reviews are not really favourable. Not sure if she will be as fun as I hoped. I liked the idea of being the flanking / hit&run force but the excessive range and bad secondary guns make me wonder if that’s what I can do with her.

Ich fahre sie mit den 20ern aber die Wahl ist einfach schlechter. Wenigstens die Reichweite sollte bei den größeren Röhren besser sein. Eine kleine Überarbeitung täte ihr gut. Zwei, drei Sachen: Reichweite der 20cm um 1-2km rauf, Torpedowinkel vergrößern und schon wäre sie deutlich besser zu fahren.

Ich hab sie in der Zwischenzeit auch bekommen und bin ehrlich gesagt noch unentschieden. Das mit dem Hydro ist immer noch witzig aber der Gegenwind ist deutlich steifer auf T7. Dazu die etwas albernen Kanonen... Ich denke wir zwei Hübschen müssen erst noch warm werden. Mit den weiteren Skills bin ich ebenfalls unentschlossen. Bloß hübsch aussehen tut sie jetzt schon.

Omg ok. Yes I know you mean more less useful damage, i.e. BB fire damage. And you said similar XP. Fine - and my point is still - and for some reason I have to repeat it - same result (or better - you can argue about the better) BUT for less skill. My view: higher skill needed -> higher reward (same for the other direction) (Less skill here = option of consistent HE damage irrespective of target behaviour, distance, and so on)
