WG did actually very well with her. No bull crap gimmicks - just down to earth. Too bad they failed with the silver line afterwards so terribly. If they’d continued the Warspite & Hood path they wouldn’t have ruined another part of the meta which gets increasingly hard to fix. I am afraid WG listened to ppl who complained about Warspite and Hood and created this disastrous RN point & click HE adventure for braindead monkeys. Cheers & enjoy the Hood

That’s correct but you need to consider that a lot of times you are pulled into T10 matches as a filler. Applies to all T8s though

Absolutely. And it is the combination that makes it too good. I don’t see any point in this Concealment thingy - even without she would be a good ship and probably balanced.

TL;DR: just counter one OP ship (Cesar Salad) with another OP ship (Kamikaze) And good players will still beat a bad player in a GC but that completely misses the point bro GC has too much going for it

Yes. The fact they finished strike mechanics and now start working in air-to-air combat worries me big time and I am surprised I’m the only one. Sounds like another piecemeal concept - sounds nothing like an end-to-end concept. WG should much rather think about how planes should be controlled in general to be fun and then bring this in line with desired strike and A2A combat mechanics. Even if I repeat myself - Battlestations was good fun and had meaningful CV gameplay instead of what we have in WOWS. That was hilarious! They really said “git gud” when no one was able to play this half finished pile of junk :-)

@wilkatis_LV Excellent post - thanks. I admit I have GC myself but only played a handful of games. My main problem with the ship is the insane concealment - you can just cloak if things go hot and your survivability goes through the roof. Bad design in my opinion. And while I support the concept of not nerfing premium ships - cutting down her concealment would be great. Anyway - good that you pulled the numbers here.

The “what-if” upgrades on these ships are uninformed and utter garbage and prove that the team doesn’t have the slightest clue about ship building unfortunately. It is a fully random assortment of existing elements slapped on these ships without any consideration to purpose, feasibility, cost vs benefits and Naval thinking in DE at that time. A huge disappointment for anyone remotely interested in these ships. Agree to a degree that WG might have been misguided by the (useless) Ganguts which only showed how much Russia lost connection to modern shipbuilding after Tsushima and WW1. If WG would have been interested in delivering something plausible they could have looked at the evolution of the much more similar Revenge, Iron Duke and Queen Elizabeth ships. Or even better - considering the question “how much do I invest into older designs?” - at Yavuz/Goeben (she survived into the 1950s). TL;DR: WG failed big time and created a disastrous low tier line-up with those ships.

Well yes. We are not proposing sec range as a like-for-like trade in for Concealment or because it is particularly strong. It is more for the fun and scenic fireworks. The Concealment I dislike as stealth BBs are the wrong way and a misuse of questionable game mechanics. Furthermore I don’t think PEF needs it.

Indeed. But secondary guns don’t make a ship OP (especially not below T7). Fully agree with the concealment though - that is a bad idea. BBs shouldn’t outstealth anyone.

In my opinion the stats look pretty strong. In WOWS - generally speaking - faster firing small guns beat slow big boys. Her citadel is further to that submerged. And then there is this absurd concealment. I don’t want the German BCs to be gimmicky. I want them to be well protected but undergunned. Get in fast - Duke it out in a brawl and retire (to the bar). So yes to your secondary range proposal and no to gimmicky Concealment. Cheers

Hab ich mir auch angeschaut. Meine Hoffnung ist, dass WG den Concealer etwas runtergeschraubt statt als Ausgleich die „richtigen“ Werte zu versauen. Man hat ja bekanntlich schon Pferde kotzen sehen („Hmm... Schiff XY hat viel zu hohe Brandchance!“ - „Ja, lass Balans machen - nerf Ruderstellzeit!“ - „Pefekt Comrade!“)

If that’s a real roadmap it is a bad one. Not that kind of mind blowing stuff that keeps people engaged or win new players. So I Call it a fake

Must have missed this thread during my break. As you know I got her and I love her even if she isn’t a strong ship at the moment. Her puristic looks are amazing and worth it alone. And as discussed on my other thread - apparently there is an AP shell buff incoming. I am pretty sure that will solve the problem and make her good fun. It will also give her a flavour but quite the opposite from Hood - not tanky at all but good strike. So yes - if you are still looking for someone to recommend her - here I am!
