I find it astonishing how WG stops half way through the process. They had an intention - a valid one. They invested quite some effort to build the new concept. A lot of people liked the approach but literally EVERYONE told them to include a button to switch between the CV and the strike squadron. And a lot of people also told them that the fighter concept is garbage. Conclusion: we are good to go (likely result: WG loses the supporters of the concept due to releasing a half-arsed model. Does the release of Graf Zeppelin ring a bell?)

0.8.0 Revenge of the CV It’s too early. - fighter mechanics are garbage - CV can’t be controlled (still!!!) Please come up with a solution for that - everyone keeps telling you this. @EdiJo the AA placement on König is just the icing on the cake. None of the elements make any sense at least not how they are put together. It really breaks any immersion for me. Plus it looks like crap.

Wieso? Ist sie doch? Sogar noch mehr als das. Sie funktioniert sogar in diesen unsäglichen TX Matches relativ gut mit ihrer guten Pen und Sigma. Gascogne einer der wenigen TVIIIer, die ich noch gern spiele (außer DDs, da isses egal)

Thank you - really interesting. Looks like the 35cm guns won’t have these amazing rail gun ballistics. If T5+6 get the modernized HE shell they might as well suffer from the old Yorck-syndrome with different ballistics between AP and HE. I really hope WG doesn’t encourage more HE spam on these ships though

The airdrag looks like it is high. What was the air drag on the old Yorck APs?

Trash these ugly and 100% sense-free fantasy refits on the German BB line T4-6. Give them proper 3D models! Plus: Delete the RN BBs from the game and re-implement once you figure out how.

Being able to choose (two) flags yourself would indeed be the best solution. EDIT: even Steel Ocean allowed that and featured a variety of flags to chose from including eg. a Weimar German Navy flag (which was black white red and had a small black red gold piece in the top left corner)

Indeed :-) But as I read the article Pyotr Veliki seems to be the T5 silver ship. Found out in the meantime though that these AP shells have only 730mps v0. That isn’t really much :-(

Well they tried their submarine concept now for Halloween. The reception was positive and WG put some considerable effor into it. Expect subs to appear H2 2019 EDIT: Gamecom announcement for German Submarines...?

Hmmm Navweaps lists the model 1913 AP indeed with 731 mps v0. That is a surprise. I guess WG will need to apply a negative drag value to get these to more comfy 900mps at 15km. There seems to be a model 1928 HE shell for railway gun use though with 980mps v0. That sounds more in line with everyone’s expectations. OR: old-Yorck V2.0 with good HE and moonraker AP? Hard to believe

Pyotr Veliki is actually the only ship in the lineup I am really excited about. First she is a Battlecruiser and second she looks like a German Battlecruiser. Add glorious Russian Railguns into the mix: Voila

I like your hopes. But we all know what these ships will be. (Superb ballistics, range, pen and dispersion -> rail guns. And some irrelevant weaknesses such as AA or concealment. I guess we’ll have to live with it)
