You absolutely nailed it with the Yorck (old) comparison. My first impression isn’t though that she is particularly challenging. Just boring. The old Yorck style pretty much. They finally improved Yorck’s shells enough now that she is more fun now.

Wow did I get you right here... you supertested PEF and came to the conclusion that she is a fun and engaging ship ready to be released - nicely balanced.....??? ouch - WG should think about that seriously mate BUT: I will happily waste some more time to play her a couple of matches and let you know if it’s getting any better once I start beating up Massas, NorCas and any other T8s in it. Btw, I don’t care about 25€ at all but I do care about my time and want to have fun in my little free time. And I like these old ships and want them to be fun to use. Will let you know mate

As Principat explained to you she is not. She is overmatched by almost all T6-8 BBs she meets as her armor is 25mm all around (considerable armor only below the waterline). So getting into the brawl will already deplete your HP and you can’t trade anything in return because your guns don’t overmatch. Bayer - good Brawler due to turtleback, distributed armor sheme including bow, guns that overmatch enemy BB’s bows PEF - bad Brawler due to no turtleback, 25mm armor everywhere (gets overmatched) and your own guns can’t do the same. Neither do they have the redeeming power of Arizona’s or Dunkerque’s shells

I see flight time and accuracy (which must be slightly better as she has Sigma of 2.0 - but it’s still BB accuracy BUT with cruiser punch. That is what sucks) Do you have a Pen curve by chance as well? Can you include T5 and T6 BBs because König and Kongo feel much punchier but they are also seeing a different MM. Appreciate if you can post a pen comparison curve

Brawler? With 25mm all around above the waterline in combination with these guns? Are you playing co-op or against T5? (I didn’t say she is unplayable but she sucks and stinks and is simply not fun. And that is due to her atrocious guns which combine all drawbacks you can have in a single setup)

Wenn du das CV Rework gespielt hast müsstest du aber wissen, dass Long-Range AA in Zukunft weniger dominant sein wird. Und selbst heute: hab meinen 19Pt König Kapitän drauf mit AFT/BFT/ManAA und klar ist die AA stark. Aber eben nur ein Gimmick mehr nicht. Das eigentliche Schiff ist trotzdem kagge

DPM... is a useless figure as PEF fails to realize it. It’s a combination of very poor penetration, high shell drag and no overmatch. Combined with only 8 rifles, Fuso reload and normal German dispersion (a bit lipstick on this pig with 2.0 sigma). Its the combination of drawbacks on the guns. PS: Secondaries without manual secs...? Not something to write home about

That I could agree with. In case WG would do so. Looking at Duke of York I wouldn’t bet on it. Plus: the stats have been obviously bad. Anyone with more than one brain cell could have drawn the right conclusions out of these

Better reload would probably suffice. It’s the combination of too many drawbacks on the main guns really that kills the fun. (and this useless AA gimmick - yea)

Was Klaubier dir erklärt hat ist, dass es genügend reale Ansatzpunkte für eine spaßige Umsetzung im Spiel gibt. Das ganze Simulations-Argument kannste direkt stecken lassen. Und das Problem ist, dass ein Schiff im Spiel Spaß machen sollte, die PEF es aber nicht tut. Weil sie sämtliche negativen Eigenschaften in ihrer Hauptari vereinigt. Und das ist im Spiel halt Mist. Hab auf einen ziemlich Hals

Even Kongo is better. @wilkatis_LV did you even play her? Her pen is worse than Kongo’s and Konig’s and the accuracy with 2.0 sigma is barely noticeable. The reload is indeed the same as Fuso’s but Fuso has 50% more rifles. The whole thing isn’t unplayable. But incredibly unfun. And certainly well below average. EDIT: no I am not talking about overmatch. I am talking raw pen.
