Hmm Nö. Ganz und gar nicht. PEF ist einfach ein Stinker. Mutsu ist um Welten besser. Pen ist bei der Mutsu eher auf Bayern Niveau - nicht berühmt aber ok. Dazu Alpha dass es scheppert und Overmatch. Als Goodie noch Torps für Nahkampf-Manöver. Mutsu macht richtig Spaß. Überlebenschancen und Geschwindigkeit sind ähnlich PEF, alles andere ist sehr viel besser (außer der AA). Jedes der T6 BBs hat gute und schlechte Seiten, PEF nicht. RE: ein oder zwei kleine Verbesserungen und das Schiff WÄRE ausbalanciert. Ja - Reload runter auf 24sec. Dann ja.

It’s not like ppl want an OP ship. But she is very unfun to play due to pretty useless guns (imagine German cruiser guns with BB reload and B.B. accuracy. Ppl taking about her being more accurate are missing the point that she has the German BB horizontal dispersion still. She is a little better due to 2.0 sigma and floaty shells which result in less vertical dispersion. Plus the Pen is pretty comparable to Konigs a tier lower with two less guns. Her reload is like Fuso but with 4 guns less) and mediocre protection pretty much like Kongo. Then she got this over the top long range AA - but what for? What she would need would be the 24sec reload back that she had during development In her current state she isn’t really fun to play and if you have been looking forward to the arrival of the Battlecruisers it is indeed a highly frustrating *edit from WG

I find it much more difficult to hide my frustration that’s why I quoted Riselotte instead. MrConway got my feedback already - my question really is: is this thing going to be fixed or is it a case of *edit dear customer ? What’s going to happen here with this? (certainly WOWS Christmas is ruined anyway for me - believe it or not - some ppl where indeed looking forward to the Grosse Kreuzers since 2015)

Na dann erklär das der NorCa und den Tirpitzens. Kannst du ja gern mal machen und sagen wie es ging. Das Teil ist Glaskanone ohne Kanone. Die einige Hoffnung ist, dass du irgendeinen Bob dazu verführst, dass er auf den 270mm Gürtel ballert und bounced wenn du steil genug stehst. Ansonsten overmatchen dich so gut wie alle T6-8 BBs mit ganz wenigen Ausnahmen. Schutz ist nicht ihre Stärke. Leider hat sie aber auch keine brauchbaren Kanonen, weshalb du bestenfalls als Flak-Barke zu gebrauchen bist. Sie ist mit weitem Abstand das nutzlosestes BB zwischen T6-8 und Ihre paar wenigen Stärken sind bestenfalls situativ

The 35cm guns may not be cruiser guns but behave exactly like that. They behave like WOWS-German cruiser guns but with terrible BB accuracy and terrible BB reload. I mean ROF is the obvious thing that is screamingly wrong with this turd. But I guess a Yorck-style buff on the air drag would make her more convenient on top. But that is not a mist in my opinion. I think 24sec sounds about right as a fixed reload (that would keep the rest of what WG tried to achieve with her)

Actually the reload is indeed her biggest issue. She’s got cruiser guns with BB accuracy and BB reload. That doesn’t go down well not surprisingly. While you are not wrong with your statement the overall concept of shitty cruiser guns on a sluggish BB platform COULD technically work, given she has 20-26sec reload. Similar to the Scharnhorst concept.

I‘d take an SMS Baden any day :-) However WG is selling PEF. Therefore it shouldn’t be a turd. I will play it a little more (maybe this weekend or next week) but I don’t expect to get excited

As you said WG is also looking at “comfort of live” things but usually much slower. This PEF example is one they should take a look at though. And I wouldn’t agree that a ship should be balanced for the challenge of a few.

And in what areas is she good? I mean - should a ship be balanced around to be a challenge for experienced players? Plus WOWS is a very simple game. BBs are defined by they main guns or in some rare cases by a combination of MA+supporting weapons such as Scharnhorst. PEF though?

Dude you didn’t bring any useful or remotely helpful posts. Me and some others explained with patience what the problem is but I am getting the impression that this is a waste of time with you. An experienced player can make every single garbage ship work of course but is missing the point. PEF is shitty unfun because of her lacking Main artillery. And if you think crap tastes good - well bon appetite

You should be able to maintain a BB main battery hit-% north of 30% regardless of the ship. Typical would be 33-35% I would say. And you know as much as I do that ppl will play any ship the way they will reach that, eg. close the distance, hold shots, whatever. The Problem again isn’t that the ship is unplayable or that it is as bad that an experienced player couldn’t make it work. The problem is more that it isn’t particular fun. It’s drawbacks are all around the main battery (pen, number of rifles, reload, turret handling) which in such combination makes for a rather dull and unfun experience. Scharnhorst is a good example of the exact opposite. Low alpha and relatively low pen are more than offset by great handling and amazing reload. Or: Mutsu’s sluggish gun handling and mediocre pen is offset by overmatch and amazing alpha. Or: Dunkerque’s shotguns have amazing handling and god-like pen. And so on. PEF’s guns don’t have much going for them though. The main guns are incredibly important for a BB in the game hence why PEF feels underwhelming and fun-free. That is the problem

WOWS ist aber nicht WOT. Im Gegensatz zu WOT hat Warships eine kleine aber gut zahlende Stammkundschaft. Viel mehr niche. Diese Stammkunden zu vergraulen ist betriebswirtschtlich keine große Idee.
