Die fünf die ich aufgezählt habe unterscheiden sich ziemlich gering. Die US und GBs sind lahme Krücken. Also das jetzt als die RIESEN Stärke aufzubauschen ist tatsächlich ein bisschen witzig. Oder was machte sie gleich nochmal zum ersten und größten Kreuzerjäger?

Of course Kii is more comfortable. Did anyone question that? Kii has amazing AP shells, overmatch potential, better base dispersion and torpedoes for the lulz and drive-by shoot outs. She performs very well at all distances and is fast and well protected (unless full broadside but that’s a common thing). PEF is missing the punch OR volume of fire on the other hand to be comfortable. Too dependent on others / to much of a supporter

Und wahrscheinlich auch @ColonelPete: Kreuzerjäger als „Stärke“? Zeigt mir bitte ein einziges BB, das KEINE Kreuzer jagen kann. Das ist keine Stärke sondern eine Folge aus ihrer Unfähigkeit, vernünftig andere BBs zu bekämpfen (mit Ausnahme der völlig belämmerten). Eine Arizone bringt 50% mehr Granaten ins Ziel pro Salve und hat - oh Wunder - sogar AP die funktioniert. Ist die jetzt auch ein Kreuzerjäger?

Arizona the worse New Mex? I thought she is the better New Mex especially firepower-wise (which is what counts) „Outrun / outgun“ - well yea.. that is how British Battlecruisers we’re advertised historically and we know how well that worked out. Mackensen wasn’t really a Battlecruiser in the classic british sense. She was a fast Battleship by all but name. Which in turn was due to the fact that category didn’t really exist at the time and more importantly for budget reasons. She was approved as a replacement for an old armored cruiser but costing more than a contemporary Dreadnought and about three times the money of the ship she replaced

Das Problem ist, dass ich von einem Schiff in einem MM BB Slot erwarte, dass es die Funktion eines BBs übernehmen kann. Und dazu gehört ein gewisser Punch auch mal etwas erzwingen zu können. Die PEF ist übrigens eines der ganz wenigen BBs im Spiel, die das nicht vernünftig kann. Die anderen beiden, die mir einfallen sind nur noch Myogi und Mikasa. Oder pack sie halt in den Cruiser Slot, da kann sie Supporten und Schaden gnibbeln bis sie grau ist. Gegenbeispiel: wie gut würde dir ein DD mit 20kn und Moskva Tarnung gefallen? Könnte man auch hinpfuschen von den Stats aber wäre das auch „so super“?

Einen Jäger erwartet und einen Supporter bekommen. Den sogenannten Supportjäger. Er kann allerdings nicht jagen. Nur supporten.

Denkt bitte daran, dass wir Nord- und Ostsee primär mit den Fliegern verteidigen wollen! Ergo brauchen wir starke Bomber und Torpedoflieger an den Küsten! Die paar Torpedoboote können die Küstem nicht allein dichtmachen. Ich denke bei der bescheidenen. Sicht in der Nordsee wären Ju 87 Stukas sehr hilfreich. Allerdings ist hier mit Abfangjägern zu rechnen, die Kampfflieger brauchen also eine solide Durchsetzungskraft! Ich könne mir auch in diesem Zusammenhang zusätzlich wieder unsere Fw 157 vorstellen. Aber gibt es Langstreckenbehleitjäger?

Nein eben nicht. Sie Scharnhorst hat mit ihrer guten Ladezeit alles Carrypotential dieser Welt. Die Scharnhorst gewinnt Schlachten. Die PEF hat auch individuell schlechte AP Granaten aber nicht den Ausgleich über die Feierrate. Das ist ihr Kernproblem. Der Schaden kommt über Zeit, meist er ganze Gefechtsdauer aber erzwingen tut sie gar nicht. Sie ist ein Supporter. Und das ist haöt ätzend für ein BB (MM Slot)

You put into a long wall of text “PEF is a f* supporter”. Agree - but you are missing the point that supporter BBs are useless somehow and not fun. If WG would move her to a CA slot I would be ok with it. But she can’t do wonders in delivering the BB part. And that is exactly what I dislike. She is a selfish supporter and extremely casual to play. She doesn’t carry games and she doesn’t reward skill. She is the epitome of a boring ship.

Nochmals ich bezüglich Baureihenfolge: können wir direkt zu Beginn zwei BCs einplanen und den dritten dann auf einer der beiden Helligen im Anschluss? Es wäre gut, im Sommer 1940 eine respektable Kampfkraft aufbieten zu können. Große Einheiten sollten daher möglichst vorgezogen werden und anschließend dann kleine Einheiten in Serie wie die Spähkreuzer und Zerstörer

Looks like we are getting towards a more civilized discussion now. Good! And thanks for pulling together these numbers. I didn’t x-check these but trust you got them right. These numbers are interesting and MAY lead towards some of the issues why a lot of people - including myself - don’t like that ship. 1) the first one I would like to pick out is the „hits per salvo“. PEF is according to your numbers about as good as Warspite (which I would be curious if that is really true and at which/all ranges?) and about a third worse than Arizona (which I would consider to be great in this category from experience) 2) while we know that „average hits per minute“ is a rather theoretical value it shows that Arizona is about 7% better there. Which translates into the difference between PEF‘s 28s and the proposed 26s reload Thanks Wilkatis for working this out. It pretty much illustrates the part about „firevolume on target“ perception. The complaints however can only be understood when you now combine these findings with the AP power and overmatch potential against ships at T5-8. If PEF had great or average AP power or the ability to overmatch cruisers and bows she might already be ok. However she has more of a T5 AP so she is struggling with BB armor save full broadsides or any angled armor. She would probably feel far less lacking if either side would compensate for the other (either firevolume on target or AP pen & overmatch).

Of course :-) But still: LWM’s “Meh” isn’t average as in 3 on a scale of 5. It is a 2 on a scale of 4. She doesn’t use this mid rating as she indicates good average as Gudbote and weak average as Mehbote

That’s not the point. The point is: if so many don’t like how she is implemented you can’t simply discard these concerns.

Skipped Izumo. Don’t think she is terrible after all the buffs anymore but I wanted Yamato. Plus I skipped Schors. Hated to play three of these ships in a row in three tiers. Don’t think I skipped any others so far. I am not really in a rush

Apparently I have a reputation to defend :-) here you go Btw I am not surprised about the stats anymore. This ship is so braindead easy it looks like everyone can still do his or her (though useless for team) support farming. 45k damage isn’t really anything to write home about. I would be curious about the differences between good and bad players but I suspect there are very few people who have terrible stats in this thing because of the very low skill ceiling. My Problem on the other hand is that she doesn’t offer anything to do outstanding in her. Nothing interesting nothing great. The only time she performs admirable is when enemies are complete idiots. Wow - great design

Well 38cm overmatch PEF as long as you are not as stupid to fire at her Belt or casemat armor when she is angled. But I don’t think many bobs would do that anyway so yea she is a pleasure to play against. A Piñata

Warum man sich noch über das Schiff unterhalten sollte kann ich dir sagen. Weil ich immer noch die naive Hoffnung habe, dass WG das Schiff anpasst wenn es ja nun ganz offenkundig ziemlich vielen Spielern überhaupt nicht gefällt. Bisher konnte man sich in WOWS eigentlich darauf verlassen, dass die Premium-Schiffe - für die wir ja immer brav 20-50€ latzen und damit den Laden am Laufen halten - irgendwie spaßig sind. Dieses Mal aber hat WG lieber den großen Mittelfinger rausgeholt und die PEF als Paywall vor einen Mini-Haufen Stahl gesetzt. Stahl könnte mir persönlich nicht egaler sein. Ich pfeif auf die Balansgrad. Aber ein gewichtiger Grund warum ich überhaupt bei diesem Spiel geblieben bin war das Interesse an diesen alten Schiffen. Nun bringt WG den ersten Imperialen Schlachtkreuzer als dicken Mittelfinger an die Stammkundschaft mit einem freundliche: „Faqju unsere Statistiken sagen Kacke schmeckt gut“ Ich kotze hier immer noch im Strahl
