I wouldn’t jump to conclusions yet. A new meta is going to settle over the coming months. I highly doubt Ashitaka will have a big problem Plus: she is one of the most elegant ships in the game for me :-)

Yes you can take this ship into battle, all cruisers there have very strong AA. And you have the punch from 10 (!) 41cm Type 91 shells! My point was: if you bought Ashitaka you could have recognized that she is a 20s Dreadnought in a relatively high tier with all pros and cons. And that this is her “thing”

Ashitaka is an awesome ship with excellent firepower. However - as one can clearly see - she is in her 1920s outfit so she is not an AA monster. Complaining about a ship from the 1920s not having Gatling guns and laser defence. Oh well.

Es würde den CV zwingen, sich zwischen Spotten fürs Team und Strike zu entscheiden. Ich finde die Idee charmanter je länger ich darüber nachdenke. -

One suggestion I read somewhere here and found interesting was that spotting could work like a radio transmission via Consumable for a certain time. So a bit like radar. Not sure if that would be fun but I would be curious at the very least -
I understand that but the impact of a CV is already quite a bit lower compared to the old world. While I agree that balancing CVs isn’t easy due to the nature of these ships I don’t cross the bridge of „they cannot be balanced so we don’t even try and limit them to one a match“. I mean of course things are easier to calculate if you know there will be only one CV. But it is always a combination of factors. At T4 nobody would argue that having two CVs on one team is a particular problem. The ships may be underpowered but that is a different issue. Here it was argued that the presence of CVs ruin the experience for DDs. So why not try to change these things in a way they are a bit less problematic for DDs? Eg take a look at spotting distances from Air in DDs and such?

Not necessarily only crossdrops. Also baiting out fighters before a strike, a rocket strike against the AA mounts before the other CV attacks with TBs or DBs, there are more options. Why do you think that can’t be balanced?

Well I would like to see all classes equally relevant represented in this game. In the old world a CV had just too much at his disposal so WG had to do something around the hard cap. And I am btw not speaking about any certain tier range. But one of the design goals of the CV rework was to bring this class more in line with the other classes hence reducing the need to artificially cap it too hard in MM. We are still in the early days and all these things around spotting, how CVs can engage DDs and such can still be shaped in a way it works out best at the end. Already demanding a hard cap of one instead defeats parts of the purpose. Maybe the answer at the end is that two CVs are enough - let’s see. But only one would be a pity

No your stupidity is astonish mate. Ideally there wouldn’t be any caps because classes are balanced. Limiting one class to a single unit is [edited]. What’s next? Only one DD and the rest BBs?

I don’t feel like arguing with someone who hasn’t played CVs ever and keeps talking about it as if he knows it all. You can’t cope with the sudden appearance of this fourth class (yes there are four classes) so you come here to whine. I was really wrong before that I thought you are a reasonable and knowledgeable person. Well no prob.

Please stop trying dude... yes you need to adapt and yes there were and will be more changes. Some suck for some people and some help. Not that these two topics are related but the BB in question is horseshit boring, lacks any carrying potential to speak of and is designed for braindead monkeys. And arguing for limiting ANY ship type - even to one (!) - is like never have played a game in one. Ah wait that might be the problem

They are already going 1). But currently with high constant AA damage instead of the ability to dodge there is no point in playing CVs much. If you make some Flak dodgeable you can also use your weaker planes when uptiered. Because ppl can learn and adapt - similar or armor angling against AP. With automatic constant AA damage it’s just a war of numbers and uptiering won’t work.

So weit würde ich gar nicht gehen. Das System ist ja wesentlich einfacher und zugänglicher und ist weniger binär. Du haust als CV den Gegner zwar nicht mehr Instant aus dem Wasser aber wirst für Fehler auch nicht so hart bestraft (oder be-strafed). Ich denke schon, dass man das gebalanced bekommt aber das System sollte schon ein paar Möglichkeiten geben, Geschick zu belohnen. Daher fand ich die Idee mit dem Wölkchen-Dodgen eigentlich ganz gut. ich bin mal gespannt, wann der nächste Hotfix kommt und ob wir dann etwas besser liegen. Im Moment ist es leider etwas frustrierend weil die Flieger sehr schnell sterben und man irgendwie häufiger mal das Gefühl hat, etwas nutzlos zu sein. Bin gerade bei der Ryujo und eigentlich macht sie mir viel Spaß aber dann sind da halt auch dieses Spiele wo man nur Katzenfutter ist. Das nervt halt.
