Das stimmt. Meinte auch eher das mit der Linie hochleveln aber das kann auch daran liegen, dass ich das lange nicht mehr gemacht habe (aus Erinnerung würde ich sagen, dass der bei 16 Pts rausgekommen wäre aber wie gesagt, das war alles mit weniger Tarnungen und Flaggen). -

I think latest for 0.8.7 when the monkey AA button hits live they need to give a respec. I removed manual AA pretty much from all captains - might be viable again after the update. -

@MrConway These numbers shown there are interesting and help putting things into perspective. Maybe sharing these more often / openly would help? Anyway: can you share how the 0.8.5 nerf (and even S_O did admit it is indeed a nerf) impacted the graphs shown during the presentation?

Did anyone watch the CV Rework presentation by Sub_Octavian during the CC summit? Some of it was good but it also shows WG’s view on this. The first of the three AA Buffs in 0.8.5 already did his job - I would be more than curious how much the retention dropped. Two more nerf hammers locked and loaded - no plans to mitigate. As expected. But the part that makes be question if there is any point in spending more time on this was the outlook to spotting nerfs. Given the idiotic concepts they are currently investigating it looks really dire now

Dieses Mal war es besonders knapp und schwierig! 1. unreglementiert -> 0 Anteile 2. Qualitativ -> 10,5 Anteile 3. Quantitativ -> 0 Anteile 4. Qualitativ + Quantitativ -> 9,75 Anteile Enthaltungen: 1,75 Anteile Damit sollen die Uboote zumindest für diese Konferenz rein qualitativ begrenzt werden. Gibt es dazu Vorschläge? -

Where did I say that? Invisi-AA is stupid - detection from air vs cruisers needs to increase a bit. But that’s not the point. At the moment and much more in 0.8.6 we have/will have very easy to calculate AA effects. Spend X sec in the aura and lose Y planes. What I detest about it that it is too mechanical. Live isn’t 100% predictable - neither is a combat situation. If these situations are 100% predictable they aren’t fun anymore. No surprises any more, no surprise wins against all odds. Just pure dumb numbers. You don’t even need to play it anymore because you know the outcome already. That is terrible design. What I would appreciate is indeed a more detailed representation of AA. Guns may miss, guns may land direct hits, the player should be able to interact with his own AA and captain perks should improve how the AA gunners aim. For me it would be nice to have the AA setup as normal part of your ship / captain rather than this boring, very predictable and absolutely uninspired aura model. Which may have been enough for the old CV model but for the new it sucks big time

AA is easy mode at the moment. It’s like you don’t even need to worry if there is a CV or not. That’s not how it should be. So yes - overdone. Solution: tone it down so the CV can strike and that ships actually do need to care if there are CVs or not but leave meaningful AA defense. Shouldn’t be terribly difficult to find this sweet spot from where we are. PS: and please pleaae do me a favor and stop these “fulfills requirements” blabla and keep this to annoy the people at your work EDIT: and yes I would appreciate an “RNG fest” = reasonably detailed AA setup representation rather than this dumb 1+1=5 DPS

IT DOESN’T! I said the direction is ok but it is still a miss. See as a surface ships I don’t even have to give a damn if there is a CV as my AA is auto win. The AA needs toning down significantly so shooting down planes happens but isn’t lazy monkey mode. Guess: AA minus 30% / or plane HP Bonus equivalent

Well you only need to calculate the large calibers in full. For the machine guns and auto cannons you can make a relatively easy hit-or-miss calculation. Sure auras are much simpler but also feel super stupid

1) as said - maybe a not wrong but overdone 2) didn’t mean it the way WG implemented these Flak puffs. These are not really shots but just auras spawning somewhere else. I meant really normal guns

The general intention of 0.8.5 may be ok but the way it is done is not. The problem was they made the AA easy mode for anyone, AA can even can deny strikes now. Apart from the stupidity this pure number game is now because of this DPS crap they simply overdid it. They need to tone it down and make it less of a number game in my opinion. It most certainly needs more interaction and more variations. This DPS concept is dull AF. See why aren’t they making AA guns like Secondaries? Hit probability, rate of fire, firing arcs, all the bells and whistles

Assuming four classes it would be VERY unhealthy if one has a majority... And that would be unfortunately a wrong way to go. It would end up in strike loose repeat - dumb gameplay. The game should reward avoiding losses instead

What I meant was - of Course average matters. It is the starting Point and perhaps most important Point. Sure you look at what is possible up and down the skill ladder but at the end averages matter A LOT Well spotting isn't any more accidental as with other ships. Plus: the second trait is not: apply Damage BUT aplly Damage anywhere so you can support guys somewhere else - even out of your own team's gun range well it is certainly unique that you can directly mitigate the Incoming Damage just by AA. Being citadeled in a Cruiser doesn't offer great counterplay either. not 100% the same but still
