Don’t forget that the battle you refer to is Russia’s biggest (and only victorious) Naval victory of all time. (although the opposition was only a couple of fishing boats - but hey. They showed them who’s the Naval hero) -

Did anyone talk about “all at once”? This is twisting words around. WG could flesh out some existing lines other than the Russian line. WG could give some missing nations at least one line to be “represented”. At the moment MrConway’s response does not convince me. There hasn’t been anything really interesting for me since the rework one year ago. So so if they would really just be holding back the “good” stuff - why only using Russian ships as fillers? Sounds like an excuse to me -

Hmm I don’t think anyone generally opposes Russian Ships in the game - or “Soviet” as WG insists to use (quite telling if you ask me). It’s more that there are still so many actual / real ships missing from the game - while WG uses dev capa on these strange Stalinist Naval expansion fantasies which are a very niche thingy at best. It is about balance in the end. WG wants their fantasy fleet - fine. But it shouldn’t be the predominant effort and focus. I guess that is what upsets people here. -

1) DD Linesplit ab T5 in eine schwere 15cm Gunboatlinie und eine Mehrzwecklinie mit 12,7/12,8cm und schnellen Torps 1.5) Ab T9 eine dritte Line mit Z1 und Klasse 101 als Cold War Gunboats in Richtung Friesland 2) Kreuzersplit ab T6 in eine schwere Panzerkreuzer Line 3) Schlachtkreuzer von T3-T8. That’s a bit bizarre to say the least. Out of curiosity: are these indeed projects or are these ships purely fictional?

Interessanter Poll. Nur: die meisten Vorschläge (die ich mir tatsächlich auch gewünscht hätte) wie 3-dimensionale Bewegung der Flieger, manuelle AA, usw. würden derart große Änderungen bedeuten, dass ich sie zu diesem Zeitpunkt für völlig akademisch halte. Das Rework ist zwar deutlich besser als der Quark davor aber es wird trotzdem die wenigsten zu 100% glücklich machen. Diese Spotting-Vorschläge mit dem „Radar“-Button oder dem Spötter-Flieger der nicht selbst kämpft wären zwar umsetzbar aber trotzdem eher unwahrscheinlich. In sofern vermute ich eher, dass wir eher bei dem bleiben werden, was wir derzeit haben.

Schön sachlicher Beitrag +1 Teamwork ist sowohl mit dem Träger als auch gegen den Träger sehr gut möglich und spaßig. Wird leider nur von vielen ignoriert -

Kill a Clemson with your Emden or have the Clemson kill your QE? Why not more towards team play? Still you can reward ships at a disadvantage to make better players use them. You are being sarcastic here. Precisely I want the game to do it for me. I don’t want to spend 20min to gather enough people and to set up a session just to play a 15min game. If the game isn’t capable to provide that function I much rather play a different game -

Respectfully disagree. At the end playtime is money for WG (on the large scale) so getting people in or back for that mode would serve a commercial purpose. Usually there is a ratio of how much money you make in average per time spent. Of course you can do things like Training Center to try to make people play but yea... Such a mode would make a certain group of people play much more (a group who prefers actual ships over space Tomato-Yamato and captains that look like lizzards for some reason). -

You need to be your own matchmaker though. Which requires more coordination among the players than most are willing to do I am afraid. Beat a QE (which would need to be modelled btw.) in your Nassau and get plenty of XP? Why not? Nope. Other than the name there are few similarities in Kaiser’s case. Orion is much closer but overly cartoonish with these HE shells. I read Apollo’s proposal as there would also be reasonably credible shells? -

Nope. T4 is full fantasy (Kaiser, Orion, forgot the IJN’s fantasy thingy’s Name even). Same at T5. Plus: added why such community mode wouldn’t be very successful apart from one-time events maybe. And it would just mean the game is not capable of providing such Warship battle experience - nothing else -

Ok and what ships would you take? There are almost no ships with a WW1 hull. The T3 BBs, some T3/4 DDs and CLs but too few to do a real battle. EDIT: No König, no QE, no Iron Duke, no Orion... Plus: that needs constant coordination between the players to make it work. Almost a schedule. That would never work beyond a one time event. Point of a game mode is you can click yourself in into it whenever you have time. Which is the only way auch things work. So people will rather abandon ship than do and coordinate all of that for themselves. At the end it would simply mean the game does not provide this kind of experience -

See? The game does not offer such option. Plus: very few have the time to do the job for the developers really - as most of us are pretty occupied by their real life anyway. A small you know - an advantage of WOWS is that it can be played even with little time to dedicate. I was thinking the same but if you give these “weaker” ships better economy / XP gains it may be a nice challenge for those grinding Free / Cpt XP for example. As I said - I would put all WW1 ships in one big MM pot and only give different rewards. -

Excellent proposal!!! You don’t even need the tiers! Any dreadnought can go against any other. Just give older / weaker ships higher rewards to give incentive for playing eg. Nassaus or V-170s rather than Queen Elizabeths and Bayerns... Give decent credit and - more important - XP gains and you will see a nice mix of ships! Wrong! It would revive this game in a pretty uninspired phase of its lifecycle. I for one haven’t even touched it since months as much as I would love to. But the recent additions where a bit meh to say the least. A game mode as proposed here would mean some modelling of WW1 hulls - sure. But it could be the boost the game needs right now. @MrConway / @Ev1n - have you seen this proposal? -

Aaalso... 1) es war bitter nötig 2) es ist um Welten besser als der alte Quark - spaßiger, etwas weniger imbalanced, schöner anzusehen, macht sogar Spaß, etc. 3) perfekt? Leider nicht. Die Erwartungen an ein Rework waren riesig, so dass viele enttäuscht sind obwohl die Situation insgesamt viel besser ist. Es gibt immer noch Balancing Probleme (auch wenn nicht mehr so eklatant). Und viele, die sich weigern, sich auf die Neuerungen einzustellen 4) Große Änderungen? Eher unwahrscheinlich. Einige Probleme wurden gelöst (leider nicht alle) - es ist besser aber nicht perfekt. Für größere Änderungen fehlt der Business Case (der vor dem Rework eben da war) 5) wurde eine Chance vertan? In mancher Hinsicht sicher ja. Man hätte sich Battlestations Pacific als Vorbild nehmen können, das CV Gameplay immer noch besser macht als WOWS. Man hätte die vergurkte Tier Progression endlich korrigieren können und die CVs ab T6 starten lassen können. Man hätte diese unsäglichen Tiersprünge lassen können. Man hätte die Balance noch weiter korrigieren können. Hätte hätte Fahrradkette. Fazit: besser aber noch nicht perfekt. Ich denke aber, dass das der Zustand ist, den wir behalten werden. Mehr oder weniger -
The whole game is overly simplistic - not just low tiers. Ah yea - some Consumables with cartoonish super powers like spood beest and some hiding of big ships behind rocks.... not really complicated either, are they? Most people are not playing WOWS because of extraordinary game mechanics (which are really really really basic - gunnery is a joke, damage model is simplistic HP bag shooting, spotting is as simple as it ever gets, tactics & “postititioning”.... oh well... ) A lot of people play this game because of the ships. Therfore the OP’s proposal makes a whole lot of sense

Not really hard. You only need to spend a millisecond on making a proper power progression (and cosider the era factor). Unless counting to 10 and sorting things and ships while doing it is an impossible challenge for a design team it would be extremely easy to do it. In fact it would solve a lot of current issues at the same time btw and would bring the ship lovers group back/into the game. Honestly - only catering for T9 premium ship buyer whales won’t serve this game well.

Nope. The few WW1 ships are artificially handicapped by WG to make them. With regards to game mechanics there is ZERO difference between a WW1 and a WW2 ship other than AA. (Cold war is slightly different as Rate of Fire is much higher).

I think - coming back to the OP‘s initial question - it would be best to rearrange the CVs to fill tiers T6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 and redo the ships between T3 - 6 to be WW1 and/or Interbellum really. Meaning less fantasy AA and rebuild which suck anyway. Make T3-5/6 great again

Sorry what I meant was: how these ships appear in game has little to do with their historical counterparts. PEF was pretty close to completion but these funnel caps, Atlantic bow and other Kriegsmarine signature pieces make her barely recognizable. I would call it “ruined”. Same for Orion, Iron Duke, the other German BBs, Normandy, etc., etc.
