    Submarines - first impressions

    Can you already share some outlook on how you are changing subs in the next iteration? - Oxygen and a need to surface...? (Most critical in my opinion) - Spotting? - cheesing around immunities at 6m? - are you keeping this ping + homing stuff? What is the feedback to this so far - I have an opinion but I sure you are collecting a broader view here? - what about determining the depth of enemy subs, eg for CVs? - proper deck guns :-) ?

    Am besten schaust du mal Toptier. Der spielt sehr gut und gibt auch gute Erklärungen (Text im Video) und Builds. Definitiv ein Go–to CVler für YouTube

    Would be better to rephrase the second option to “yes but with major changes / rework”. I guess that would cover it all: yes like now, in general yes but just different and generally no.

    Well... I haven’t played her to be fair and from how things look will never. I would be ok with new ships being mediocre sometimes but at the same time releasing some other ships which are supposedly borderline or full scale broken is bizarre. I didn’t bother to play a lot of Russian BBs but Ismail And P Veliky which I did play are beyond broken. Doubt it’s fretting better from there but I will take a look myself - maybe. Odin is certainly not interesting

    IJN Light Cruiser line

    I like the idea of an IJN Cruiser Line split! However - I would keep the current line as is, make Mogami 15cm a “special ship” like Moskva, leave Mogami 20cm in the main line and buff maybe Cruiser torps or/and some minor gun characteristics slightly. However main main proposal would be to branch off a “scout” Cruiser line starting off from Kuma: T5: Nagara/Sendai (the one with the plane) T6: Agano T7: Oyodo T8: Mogami conversion for seaplanes T9: Tone T10: Zao Style Tone What would be the characteristics: - good Concealment - Torpedos - weaker than usual main battery / artillery - scout plane squadron How would the Scout Pläne Squad work: - take off like on the CV - fly small squadron (maybe three planes or so) like in CV mode to spot. Timer for “fuel” until the squadron returns automatically - press a key to “deploy” scout squadron at its current position. Squadron keeps spotting that circle for XX seconds, player returns to the ship - the scout squadron would be unarmed

    I think that is exactly the problem. 8 guns with BB dispersion and 30sec reload just feel very meh unless the accuracy would be „good“. Solution is simply: give Bayern her historical 23 sec reload
  9. Nein ist schon ein hübsches Schiff für die 1940er. Eine etwas kräftigere P-Klasse für meinen Geschmack aber nicht schlecht: auch wenn natürlich nichts über einen geraden Kreuzerbug geht
  10. Richtig es ist albern. Vielleicht können wir WG‘s Horizont ja etwas erweitern Aufbau Variante ist der Originalaufbau mit zusätzlichen Plattformen für AA, Lampen, Zielgeräte, etc. Ich könnte natürlich nochmal eine dritte Variante bauen wie hier vorgeschlagen. Mit Hangar? Cool! Ist das ein Folgedesign für Hr. Wilson?
  11. I was doing some more sketches these days and came up with a slightly more modern Derfflinger. These ships are pretty short once you started messing around - roughly the length of the WW2 Hippers. In essence I slapped on: an Admiral Hipper Bridge Superstructure a Mast similar to what WG mounted on the in game König (same tier?) Admiral Hippers Hangar a Panzerschiff Graf Spee bow some AA with WW2 style Wackeltopf-Directors
  12. Sehr cool Genau so meinte ich mit den Booten am Hangar. Mit dem querstehenden am Schornstein weiß ich nicht so ganz aber es stört auch nicht. So langsam kommt mal etwas Leben an Deck was sagt Linkum zu seinen Radaratennen?

    The few sub battles I played so far all turned out similar: at the end of the match there are subs left and only few ships to hunt them. The battles drag on and on and half of the team isn’t even engaged anymore. I can say that I am not a fan of the current iteration. I liked the Halloween subs much more. what I think needs changing: 1. Subs need to be forced to surface (eg Oxygen) 2. Remove this cheesing around 6m 3. Reduce spotting especially submerged 4. Give them deck guns that work 5. Remove this ping and homing stuff. Well - at least that is how I would do it.

    Thanks - Would be great if they would — haven’t seen one on the replies yet though. The more the model progresses the more I would like to play it. I somewhat started to even like the idea of it being a T8 super cruiser...
  15. Naja das ist schon sein Zweck oder? In sofern ist Take‘s Idee sicher nicht abwegig. Ich bin da recht leidenschaftslos. Wobei ich das Beiboot in der Lücke gut finde. Könnten wir da nicht sogar jeweils zwei Boote hinstellen @Parasitkaffee ? Also eins da wo es jetzt ist und schräg darüber daneben noch ein zweites? Ich find es immer ganz gut wenn auf Deck ein bisschen „was los“ ist Wenn ihr den Torpedowerfer haben wollt dann würde ich den aber unter dem Kran lassen. Damit wir genug Platz für Beiboote haben.
  16. Hmm. Ich wäre auch eher dafür bei der Bewaffnung nicht zu viel zu verändern. Zumal wir die Torpedos ja auf die Schlieffen packen können.

    0.9.4 - Submarine battle

    My feedback so far - first and foremost this here: 1. Oxygen or any other mechanic is needed to prevent subs from staying submerged indefinitely. 2. The switching between immunity types need to go. Best would be a periscope intermediate setting 3. Spotting needs to be reduced. Underwater there shouldn’t be any spotting and in general view range should be short due to how low these boats sit in the water 4. Deck guns should return 5. I dislike the ping + homing Torp stuff completely. I would vote to get rid of it but the other topics around forcing subs to surface, spotting and cheesing with the 6m depth is far more game breaking so that must certainly be improved first Generally speaking I am ok with depth charges and how they work but the whole thing can only work if subs are forced to spend more time at the surface. I would even go as far as saying they should spend the majority of the match at the surface and dive only to evade or attack. One even more general remark: I liked the Halloween Subs very much and I think these were tons better than the current iteration! So why no going more in this direction?
  19. Würde mich auch interessieren :-) Die E-Messer sehen super aus! Wie willst du das mit den Radarantennen machen? Eine auf die Brücke, eine oben an den E-Messer auf dem Mast und eine Achtern?

  21. Sehe ich tatsächlich ähnlich aber wer erklärt das WG...?
  22. Würde versuchen welche neben den Hangar und schräg dahinter ein Deck höher bei den hinteren Doppelflak-Türmen beim hinteren Schornstein hinzustellen. Das Schiff ist ja deutlich breiter als die Aufbauten, die ich hier mal angenommen habe. Panzerschiffbug auf dem Minimal-Refit? Ginge auch. Den Torpedoraum müsste man eh neu machen und aufteilen. Der war eine ziemliche Schwachstelle Ja die würden tatsächlich nur bis zur 3/9 Uhr Position drehen können. Müsste ich mal schauen, ob ich das besser hinbekomme. Das Ding ist halt, dass der Aufbautenbereich viel kleiner ist als ich dachte.
