Weil die Idee schon dämlich ist. Daher fehlt mir offen gestanden die Fantasie, wie daraus noch eine gute Lösung kommen kann. Wenn ich jetzt zum Beispiel die gute Idee habe, dass Schlachtschiffe fliegen und tauchen können sollen und dass Zerstörer keine Feinde sehen können sondern sich komplett auf die Minimap verlasen sollen - musst du das dann auch erstmal testen? Bei manchen Ideen sieht man einfach dass die nix sind

Ich bin relativ sicher, dass dieser Effekt durchaus kalkuliert ist und in der Tat verbreitet. Allerdings kann man den Betroffenen einen relativ einfachen (manchmal schmerzlichen) Tipp mitgeben: „warum dem schlechten Geld noch gutes hinterherwerfen?“

Naja es ist ja eben auch Quatsch. Ob man es nun etwas höflich „verwirrend“ oder einfach etwas direkter „komplett hirnlos“ nennt ist ja nun egal. WG hat sich das Gejammer halt angehört und das dann sogar noch ausprobiert (sprich Geld dafür ausgegeben diesen offensichtlichen Schwachsinn zu prototypen). Und welche Surprise - es war natürlich Müll - hätte jeder mit mehr als einer Hirnzelle allerdings auch vorher sagen können...

Es gibt sicher diverse Dinge zu kritisieren - und das ist in einem gewissen Rahmen auch ok. Was ich aber sagen kann: trotz Pause und teils auch on/off kann ich sagen, dass ich selten ein Spiel über so lange Zeit gespielt habe. Und machen wir uns nichts vor: ohne Weiterentwicklung und Veränderung wäre das Ding längs tot - WG ist also gezwungen ständig etwas zu ändern und hinzuzufügen. Klar finde ich auch nicht alles davon gut aber insgesamt macht das Spiel eine ganze Menge richtig. Plus: das Verhalten einiger weniger hier im Forum in Puncto Benehmen lässt leider tief blicken. Daher: danke :-)

Although not exactly the topic she is more of a capital ship with unusual small guns. A typical crossover - just the other way round. By comparison the Wittelsbach BBs also had „only“ 24cm guns - cruisers at the tier have 10cm or 15cm. I would rather regard her a capital ship which translates into BB most of the times. How so? She is a copy of the Eugen hull pretty much (slightly bigger?) with triples. Not much you can do wrong her do you? Different tier, maybe a bit more gun focused than the T8 undergunned Eugen?

How is the size relevant to the game - WG doesn’t give a flying f* if the ship fits in whatever port. And yes - strictly speaking you can’t even compose ONE single German cruiser line due to a lack of real ships. Funny that you criticize that the different big gun armed panzerschiff cruisers cannot make a line all the while suggesting a simple copy paste line of ships we essentially have in the game already multiple times. See the difference is that a Panzercruiser line has at least some links to real projects and some uniqueness to it whereas a copy paste 15cm daka line is just another (boring) fantasy line pulled out of thin air. Of course WG can do it but one need to ask the question what it brings to the game. And for me that wouldn’t be much. But that is just y opinion. What should I think about? It is pretty straight forward: T6 - Deutschland/Lutzow T7 - D-Class T8 - P-Class & BC1928 T9 - O-Class T10 - KW45 Plating, guns (L54.5 vs L52 for example) and all that make a nice progression. These designs are very similar and in gameplay terms there is no difference really. And remember these ships were not overly capable fighting ships but had other design goals such as endurance. Do you have a Munchen? She is quite bad at T7 already and could use smoke to help her in gameplay terms. Which again isn’t relevant as for cruisers only the plating is really interesting. And plating has no link to reality but is only set by the tier the ship is in. Unless you want to bob broadside but in that case even a T10 cruiser armor won’t save you. What makes that design very interesting is very high speed and L/56 30cm guns. She would be perfectly fine for T8 or T9. There are “Sketches” for all sorts of stuff but I don’t see why every brainfart needs to be in this game. ROON is an atrocity already - absolute garbage design by WG. I don’t want any more of that in the game. Hindenburg is ok as a “Super-Eugen” - not very credible either but at least superficially resembling a ship from that era. So you want a copy paste US light cruiser? What’s the point? You can play Woooster (without flooding the game with more complete fantasy hulls) Precisely. And if you think that further you can already split the DD line at T5 and start the 15cm line starting with S-113. This would obviously eliminate the option for a German Spähkreuzer CL line split and instead be a DD line split. Although the 15cm crossover gunboats would work either way as DD or CL

Fully fantasy would be the right term Precisely. A “light” split as proposed would be just a lot of copy paste fantasy stuff. Not that WG would be hesitant to do exactly that but it is boring like hell and I doubt anyone would be intrigued by it unless complete broken OP. Scheer is right: you can basically do two things with the German Cruiser tree. The more obvious is a split at T6 and work your way up in a Panzerschiff-split tree going through D-, P-, and the likes and possibly Zenker’s 1928 BC concept and ending up in a KW45 type 4x2 Siegfried. The other option would be a DD-CL crossover branch using the large ocean going DD designs such as Spähkreuzer and such. One could create an interesting brach with smoke, relatively slow (for such ships) firing 15cm guns and such. There are options to do something interesting with this old tree but just coping stuff a couple of times wouldn’t be interesting for me at least. Now that is a suggestion I like - although I am hesitant to “waste” great names on relatively boring copy paste premiums. If we call her “Blucher 39” or something I would be all in. Should be a T7 heavy cruiser though. The “real” Blucher should be a T3 prem BB I believe

Ah... die nächste Kommi-Phobie-Welle rollt - ganz wie in echt. Wurde auch mal wieder Zeit @Walther_K_Nehring - habe gestern Abend mal die erste Runde formatieren & ergänzen auf Seite 1 gespielt. Dabei sind mir diverse Dinge aufgefallen: neben den Daten für die Ungarischen Träger sind die neuen BBs mit 25.000 ts trotz 12 Kanonen ziemlich leicht. Sind die aus Klopapier? Gibt es Angaben zum Schutz? Und was ist mit dem Ostsee-Kreuzergeschwader? Bleibt das weiterhin im Dienst? Was ist mit der Seydlitz (außer dass sie Zigarettenetuis schmückt)? Noch im Dienst oder hattest du mal was von Museum gesagt?

Habe das Ding gerade mal auf Seite 1 ergänzt: gibt es dazu Daten? Länge, Breite, Antrieb, etc.? EDIT: diese Forums-Software wurde ganz sicher nicht für die Dokumentation von Flotten entworfen

For Kaga/Shokaku you lose concealment Expert but gain some interesting torpedo and Survivability skills - I may try the two engine boost skills over squadron speed. Thanks for illustrating - great job. although some of these skills come with hefty downsides which will influence the popularity obviously

There was a different T10 cruiser? As far as I know WG only changed some names. Zao was called Senyo I believe and Myogi is also the second name of that ship. Forgot the initial name though - it’s been a while

Kronstadt is a nice little ship and there wouldn’t be an issue with her returning. I doubt she would be overly popular though with people having Stalingrads and Moskvas for the most part
