Hi, I was always under the impression that secondary guns use a standard dispersion formula which is terrible and which makes them miss anything they aim for. Exceptions in my world were Graf Zeppelin, Massachusetts, Georgia (and I believe the German Silver CVs) which use a tighter pattern and are therefore quite noticeably useable. Now I read on LWM’s Oklahoma review (NA) today the following: “Oklahoma has the same improved secondary dispersion as found Massachusetts and Georgia. What's not as well known is that this is the same secondary dispersion as found on all large calibre secondary gun batteries, such as the 152mm on Kongo and Warspite. I don't say this to nay-say Oklahoma's secondary performance, but rather to illustrate that one element isn't so rare at this tier, as a lot of the casemate weapons of tier V battleships are larger calibre.” Now is that true? Do I have Massa-Secondary Dispersion on Bayern & Konig and the likes which use 15cm secondary guns and I never noticed?

The secondary guns are funny but honestly don’t pack a punch. Plus speccing doesn’t do much as the accuracy improvement only works from T7 on. Right now I agree that Oklahoma looks great but plays terrible. I think reload down to the usual 34 secs or 36secs and better AP. Apparently AP got heavily nerfed from best to worst 35cm by adjusting the Krupp value just before release. I think WG overdid it again here

Thanks all for the replies! Especially the graph is super helpful! I wasn’t aware that Graf Z is by far the best, always thought she would use Massa-style dispersion... and it explains why GZ’s secondary guns are useable (even without manual Secs). Btw.: does that mean that Massa with manual Secs is roughly as accurate as GZ without?

T5: 1) Pyotr Veliki by a comfy margin probly 2) Guilio Cesare - although not available any more 3) Kongo - great guns, fast, well enough protected - just inconsistent at times 4) I love König as well but the other 3 are clearly superior 5) the others are rather meh (Texas/New York, Bretagne, Iron Duck). Hitbox: könnte man denken wäre aber in der Tat zu vernachlässigen. Die 3D Tarnungen à la Spacecamo oder Gotik weichen signifikant stärker von der Hitbox ab. Bei solchen Änderungen wie den vorgeschlagenen würde man keine Auswirkung merken Zu mehr Dreadnoughts: ja gern!

Ich denke es dürfte bei derartigen Äußerungen nicht überraschen, dass die Franzosen in den Augen der Englischen Presse gerade nicht besonders hoch im Kurs stehen....

Es ging mir eher um eine Änderung des 3D Modells. Skins kann man Modden, die 3D Modelle leider nicht. Hat mehrere Gründe aber das führt hier zu weit. Bei meinem Vorschlag ging es um einen „Rückbau“ der von einigen hier als äußerst störend empfundenen Fantasieelemente - vor allem natürlich der Schornsteinkappen und des Atlantikbugs. Damit hätte man in kürzester Zeit ein wirklich schönen 3D Skin für alle, die die WK1 Schlachtkreuzer mögen. Und da ich in der Zwischenzeit etwas mit 3D Modelling herumgespielt habe kann ich dir sagen, dass der Aufwand dafür eben NICHT hoch ist. Wenn man das halbwegs kann - und das können die bei WG unbestritten - bauen die dir das in einem Nachmittag hin. Es interessiert sie halt bloß einen

Not really a light cruiser. She was a heavy cruiser armed with 15cm guns ad-interim to avoid naval arms limitation treaties. And light doesn’t indicate the armour but just a max allowed caliber of 15cm and a certain maximum displacement. She had more belt armor than the Hippers although her overall protection scheme was probably still inferior. Given that Washington CA were a terrible compromise to begin with. Regardless it was well known that the Japanese ships violated the treaties. A contemporary commented: “either the Japanese build their ships from cardboard or are straight up lying”. The real Mogami classes’ most prominent design feature was their extraordinary heavy armament and punch. I just feel very little of that makes it into the in-game representation. I usually appreciate if I can recognize “real” characteristics translated somewhat into the game.

Well yes. Although the US line got some rebalancing when the tree was split. I am not saying the IJN CA line is terrible but they feel to require quite some effort to do anything meaningful with them. Given all the additions to the game they feel a little dated. In Mogami’s case in particular the two gun options should offer a distinct choice rather than the daka ones flat out superior. And giving big guns a more useful range would be the obvious choice. Although a possible outcome is people hanging farther back - sure

Especially 20cm Mogami feels lacking by now. No Heal, big citadel, squishy and low range. Torps only fire backwards. There is little point in playing her with the 20cm guns. I think this gun option should offer better base range compared to the smaller guns

Sie sagten, dass die entfernten CVs einen alternativen Zweig bilden sollen mit einem „Support“-Stil. Bloß wissen wir nicht, ob das alles auch so geklappt hat. Ich möchte Hiryu und Zuiho auch wiederhaben und irgendwann wird sie sicher auch wieder kommen aber ich glaube WG weiß derzeit noch nicht genau was das am Ende werden soll. Aber ich denke schon dass sie wiederkommen. AKAGI war doch noch nie im Spiel oder?

Hi folks, although Warspite is one of the oldest Prems I surprisingly never got her. Mainly due to the fact that she is a fully rebuilt representation of that class - much prefer the original or 1920s configuration. Regardless - question to those who own both: which one to get+keep? What are the differences? Thanks + cheers

Thanks to all advices Got me a Warspite last night, tried one battle and I like her. I certainly prefer her over QE. Funnily I noticed that the 3D model is in fact slightly different - but both are fine. So my QE captain will move on within the line and I am pretty sure you guys gave the right advices. Warspite seems to be more my cup of tea. While I was at it I used a Coupon and some doubloons to get a Massa-choo-choo - and holy cow. She seems to be a beast (first impression of course but very positive)
