No they have been a player controlled asset - an active and important part of your flight deck - today they are not. Either count in the fighters or leave them out. But not apples and oranges pls Simple: with the rework you control only a part of the wing when attacking. The rest just trails your attack wing and gets killed. In RTS times you had full control of that To make it comparable the rest of the squadron would need to keep out of AA range while attacking.

World of Warships balancing the CV rework proposal:

Agree - a positive discussion is the way to go. I am not entirely convinced that WG doesn’t listen to feedback. It’s obvious that they ignore spamming of individuals. But such a discussion is a good one

Ah you Little Joker - a couple of poor souls even fell for your little ruse here I use a similar measure (delay for regeneration 30/60/90 Secs for the three squadrons) and 15min match time average but the results are not vastly different. Eg. I have (RF/TB/DB): - Ryujo (27/24/24) - Shukaku (27/26/24) - Hakuryu (24/34/28) However you deliberately make two booboos - hopefully not to mislead anyone here : 1) you are neglecting the RTS fighters which added to the complement. If you compare apples to apples rather than apples to oranges you get for Hakuryu - Rework 34/28 vs RTS 30/37 (TB/DB) Shokaku - Rework 26/24 vs RTS 24/24 (TB/DB) Almost identical unless you look at T4 and we know T4 CVs are a problem in almost any area. 2) you are neglecting the fact that after rework the AI loses your planes casually and inevitably while you are attacking with one wing. These losses are not under your own control and need to be compensated for somehow So no - for any CV other than the low tier ones and one with very small flight deck the difference are not significant and most certainly not “infinite” or “unlimited”

World of Warships balancing the CV rework proposal:

    1) one was to give a “transmit recon” button with 3-5 charges to each squadron. Basically like a radar function - provide spotting for a defined while for the team around the squadron (eg. 20-30 Secs or so) 2) another one was making spotting less accurate, i.e. only display an “X” for distant targets, a class symbol at medium ranges and the true ship only at short distance - and only make it lock-on-able for the team in the close range mode 3) replace rocket fighters with manually controlled Scout planes. In essence strike planes would have bad spotting and Scout planes very good spotting. Therefore the CV would have to make a choice between spotting and striking That were the ones I remember which at least were not completely ridiculous and in my opinion worth a quick prototype

World of Warships balancing the CV rework proposal:

The problem is not the PR - the problem is that nothing in WOWS is even remotely complicated And no - watching 2 radar ships and having a few concealment values in mind and position a little bit is not complicated by any means. You are talking about risks and potential threads - nothing to do with complicated.

World of Warships balancing the CV rework proposal:

Nope that is not the case. Some people think that. As this is a long wall of text I hope I got your suggestions right: 1) individual weapon stats - specifically high tier AP bombs? 2) spotting delay from air? 3) buff fighters so they can prevent enemy strikes? Well... hard to argue about 1) AP bombs were never a great idea. They were ridiculous during RTS times and are still annoying today - still some RTS legacy. But hey - no we also got AP rockets For 2) there has been a lot of discussion and multiple suggestions but so far WG has only done some strange trials. I would expect that this would change some when in the future but currently it seems like WG hasn’t found a good way. Some of the suggestions were not even bad 3) the current consumable fighter is garbage. But sure if buffing them would improve anything. Better have player controlled fighters

World of Warships balancing the CV rework proposal:

Aaaahahaha! You do realize that there is nothing complicated in the whole game whatsoever? The game is an overly simplistic and slow shooter - nothing else (save from the nice 3d Art!)
  8. Guys it’s simple. WG noticed the Captain’s economy is too convenient and is devaluing this part. That sucks but they want to press more money out of the captain’s area. Too many of us are not forced to use doubloons in this area and WG changes that. Cheap money grab - usual stuff. I would appreciate to make the high-tier-Silver economy more strict though to make people play any tier instead of TX, TX and maybe TX..
  9. TL:DR; there is no sensible way other than leveling a captain an extra 70% (!!!) What a bull
  10. 1.2 million is excessive! so it’s from 1.7 to 2.9 - another +70% ?? Ok we get it - WG regrets free commander XP Although it was one of the best inventions of the recent years

As you seem to be the only one who hasn’t done the calculation for all the carriers and the highest possible regeneration - I suggest you do that first. Afterwards you compare it to the original flight deck. That will answer most of your questions - and for the ones which remain open: yes some CVs benefit from the regeneration mechanism for balance reasons Funnily enough I am not necessarily against making regeneration a bit stricter to force the CV to play more conscious - you can easily see such effect on Saipan which strikes a pretty nice balance for flight deck and regeneration. But regardless the fairytale of infinite planes has no place in a proper discussion.

    Suggestions thread

Ok since nothing within this dump-pit ever moved anywhere I am happy to give some more valuable suggestions which will vanish in the depths of this well-meant thread: - Nightbattles with Starshells and searchlight which follow your cursor - Battlestations “Island Capture” mode - just damage farming for 5+ years isn’t exactly inspiring - REAL ships - German and British Battlecruisers please! Less cheap money grab high tier prems - it’s freaking lame!!! - finally make proper models for Kaiser, Konig and Bayern - we are waiting since four years to replace these garbage models! OR do the following: - 3d perma camos to make ships which have been butchered by fantasy nonsense into some real handsome ships! PEF, Konig, Kaiser, Bayern! pls (I know you could do that - you even put a freaking cathedral on top of the B-March) @MrConway (trying to ping as no one seems to bother otherwise)
  14. Oh man! SO ein Frühstück würde mich jetzt verdammt nochmal wach machen!

Nope. You don’t seem to grasp how limited plane regeneration is. This has been discussed and even calculated 2 years ago but you don’t seem to bother with facts and parrot such nonsense here although the chapter is long closed. But hey - who needs facts if there is a feeeeeeling

Omg... but you do realize that the average battle does not last 20min do you? This nonsense about infinite planes is nonsense regardless of how often you parrot it

You don’t need to turn that much to avoid AP rockets. They only citadel flat broadside especially the T6 ones

AP Rockets from the looks of it - can be juicy if flat broadside but usually the target angles slightly and mitigates almost all dmg. Not saying AP Rockets are a great idea though

    Gangut

Wut ? Gangut is probably by far the best T4 BB save Nicolai... Don‘t even bother with planes. Simply stomp the enemy and ignore the occasional chip damage
