Thanks for putting this together - honestly it feels like there is little variety though. One obvious difference is GZ secondary skill although it’s a meme by itself. Torp buffs are nice Concealment nerf is crap Bonuses of standard skills mostly cut in half Mostly an overall nerf with some pluses on the torp side -
The B/C Stuka did use a Jumo 210 which is basically an equivalent to the Kestrel. You are probably referring to the Jumo 211 Variants which are larger and more powerful. Actually the later Stukas (“D”) in fact used the larger 211. Basically the Jumo 211 isn’t far off the DB high performance engines but are more rugged and heavy.

Eg. I have (RF/TB/DB): - Ryujo (27/24/24) - Shokaku (27/26/24) - Hakuryu (24/34/28) That is controllable planes and excluding the stupid consumable fighters - so yes: Shokaku is pretty close to her historical complement

Has been discussed over and over - basically strike planes equal to RTS / real loadouts considering an average 15min match time. Rocket fighters roughly match fighter complement and on top the CV gets the fighter Consumables. So basically the number of planes is same as in RTS or for real loadouts plus the fighter consumable on a broader picture. However some carriers - especially low tiers - benefit quite a bit by getting many more planes than historical. And these are probably the ones you met in your Orion

More is less (the upcoming Commander Skills Update 19 -> 21 points - most current "reference" builds will simply cost more in new system for same functionality and will deplete great deal of resources and cause months / years of unnecessary grind)!

Everything you summarize is correct. The reason though is that WG made the economy a bit relaxed in their eyes - compare it to Gajin for example. Now - instead of tackling the broken high tier silver economy WG in their infinite wisdom decided to butcher the free Captain XP concept instead. Because it basically devalues any 19 pointer we have. It’s indeed disgusting -
Simple answer - no we don’t. You are specifically mentioning battlecruisers - of which we only have Prinz Eitel Friedrich, which is a WG modernized Mackensen, in the game so far. It is commonly believed within this community that we will get a line of British and German Battlecruisers in the future. In MM terms they would most likely be Battleships though. However there is no official statement of and when they will make it into the game. Currently WG is sadly busy with pumping out T8-10 Premium ships as these have a higher price tag

Well actually no. You are mixing in team composition now. But regardless - as both teams face the same composition - that part isn’t relevant. It is simply a fact that the more of the actions you control the more you can influence the outcome of the match. And in a 2 CV per team scenario your relative influence is smaller. Imagine two unicum CVs against yourself and a full CV idiot. You may very well lose the race then. Whereas if there is one per side the better player automatically has a positive impact on the match outcome. Now being a BB out of four makes your relative impact on the game even smaller

It matters because as a CV you have 100% of the CV related decisions of your team under your control. And if you are a good player you benefit from that and can boost your WR.

It is rather obvious that WG aims to devalue the captain XP as apparently too many of us have too much of this. Although free captains exp is one of the best things WG introduced to the economy in my opinion -

Aber der Wohlstand und die Lage des Reiches geben dem scheidenden Kanzler 10 Jahre nach der Zäsur der Aussöhnung recht. Der Kaiser spricht daher vor allem von Wohlstand und Stabilität. Äußerst wohlwollend hebt er dann aber trotzdem noch die Passagen hervor, in der Marx von Spricht. Es dürfte kein Geheimnis sein, dass dies immer ein Anliegen von W2 war - er es allerdings während seiner Regentschaft mit wenig diplomatischen Mitteln in die Welt zu tragen versucht hatte. Nun, da er keine direkte regierende Funktion mehr hat sondern als Konstitutioneller Monarch eher als Nationale Identität, Vater der Nation und Stimme der Moral auftritt, kann er diese Entwicklung überschwänglich loben. Stresemanns Nachfolger wünscht er eine starke Hand, einen scharfen Verstand und allzeit ein glückliches Händchen. Zu tun gibt es genug! -
It is relatively simple - if there are 4 BBs per team you exercise 25% of the class influence - i.e. you decide on 1/4 of all the actions this class is supposed to perform within the match. And second there is a “relative class influence” which is not a single hard figure but a combined and weighted number characteristic to a class. While it will be close to impossible to have everyone agree on the exact weighting the results of relative battle influence per class will not be wildly deviating. In other words: yes they are 11 other players. But missing the “relative class influence” of one of the classes will make your team’s life much harder. Think of a game where all your DDs die within three minutes and the enemy has three left. Will be a terrible uphill battle.

You mentioned WR specifically. And as you know it is usually only one single CV per team which in turn means you exercise 100% of your class influence in the match. It is absolutely inevitable due to this that you can boost your WR easily in a CV as long as you are above average (the only exception to this simple truth would be if the class influence would be zero - which it is not). But it doesn’t tell you if the class is overperforming compared to other classes. I am sure you know that but the statements are completely misleading. As with any number or indicator you have to know what it means to draw any useful information from it

I don’t understand why we are discussing this once more? CVs do have a high battle influence - that can be measured and WG is monitoring this KPI. But that is not a problem by itself - one class has to be the most influential. Second by the way is the DD class. And in games without CV the DD is the only matchwinning class - much more than the CV in matches with all four classes. It’s rather obvious that DDs don’t want their privileges to be cut down. And CVs are certainly limiting the DDs possibilities and freedom more than the other two classes. But all of that has been discussed over and over again - none of that will change the different opinion on this matter. So what is the question here?
