I was experiencing the same problem while in the Mutsuki DD. Game froze completely (Two Brothers Map), and since i wasn't sure if it was a game or laptop related problem, i did a "hard" power-off and restarted my laptop. After that "hard" power-off, the problem seems to be "fixed". Good to see that i am not the only one that has encountered this problem, because that makes it less likely that the problem is caused by my laptop. Recently, BTO EU build me a new webdesign/editing/gaming laptop, and I was already having scary visions of a Wargaming Assassin 4 Hire who murdered my brand new laptop, and sent it straight to the eternal gaming laptop heaven.

Alt + Tab out of the game, go back in the game after that, and problem solved. Temp. fix, but it works.

World of Warships did break my headphones....... 0.5.2.0 sound bug/problem FTW! Also the chat windows seem to be broken I need a beer..........

I noticed a problem with the private chat. When I type something in the chat which consists of several phrases / lines, the text does not get displayed correctly. (see screenshot) This happens on both resized and non-resized chat windows. I noticed this problem after applying the newest update 0.5.2.0. Are you 100% sure you bought them on the EU Portal? So not on the NA Portal?

At this moment we have to wait until WG fixes the sound problem(s)... As far as i know, there is no "easy" solution/fix available @ this moment.

Anyone experiencing this problem? If you have a chat/private chat window open ingame, and you type text that contains multiple lines, the text is not displayed correctly and/or in case of copy/paste only partially displayed.

Now that mystery is solved, we can send the Mystery Van home.

. Create a new text file (use a text editor like Notepad++) . Copy/paste the code (see below) in the text file . Name/rename this file shadows.xml . Place the file in this folder World_of_Warships\res\system Please let us know if this has solved your problem. Important: If it solved the problem, check your ingame graphics settings. I don't know 100% sure if it made any changes to your previous settings.

What are your system specs?

It is a workaround indeed, but that's what the community has to find out by themselves, every time Wargaming gives WoWs a new update. I wonder..... we have supertesters and still after every patch/update there is something broken.

Do you have any mods installed? If yes, try it without mods, see if you get the same problem.

Damn, this update did break the ingame sounds...... Wargaming at its best. Every update breaks something that was working just fine before.

Faster internet maybe? I have a 500/500 Fibre line, and the update is downloaded/installed in no time. PS: I hate the fact Wargaming turns the seeding option from off to on with every update.....

Alt + tab out of the game, get back into the game, and it is fixed. I guess somewhere in the code the new windowed+borderless is messing up the normal full screen mode.
