    the game does revolve around tier x... there are thousands of players using t6 cvs... and they've just nerfed the point of the cv play entirely. The first rework actually was fun for t6 cv, now they've killed the point. Its a waste of time playing cv at t6 (jap) right now, when you cant get close to any ships to drop anything, and when you do the torp spread of a joke and they do max 5k damage each (if they hit which is almost impossible to do now). I for one wont play cv again until their next "fix"

    the only viable plane type is the rocket, but they do so little damage , the cv is effectively neutered now. The bombers are just shocking. It was better with auto-target pre-patch. at least when the aiming cone affected the drop ALL the planes in the squad dropped their load at once, so you had a chance of one hit... as it stands there is zero chance.

    I dont mind that flak etc can cause aiming issues, but previous to 0.8 if the squad came under intense AA fire, the aiming cone increased and most bombs/torps were wasted. With the cv rework, cv captains have had their point of view changed from a top down map view, to a third person view, so now we are physically seeing the action, physically seeing the flak... it actually has a physical effect because trying to aim in a dense cloud of black air bursts is DIFFICULT!!! we dont need any more implied consequences to the aiming. At tier 6, in my Jap cv, 2 planes breakaway for the final bomb or torp run... in the first cv patch, you could start your run with torps, and make final adjustments as you approach the target to take account of the targets last minute change of course, this was HARD to do !!! now they've made it IMPOSSIBLE to adjust as the aiming cone widens to such a degree that its pointless dropping the torps, and now the AA is so fierce, even on same tier DDs, if that one run fails, then that was probably your one and only attempt as most of the planes in the squad will have been shredded anyway... so you launch a different wave of planes... rinse repeat. The consequences of the latest hotfix are that planes are shredded even quicker than before, with slower replenishment at the carrier, and a reduction in damage output of around 90%. We went from an engaging cv experience in the first patch, to this total over the top hotfix that literally swipes away all the benefits of playing cv in this new third person view. Either give captains control or dont... revert back to a top down map strategy view or allow good captains with skill to use the new view to their advantage. Its pointless playing cv after this hotfix so I'll play something else in the meantime.

    THIS NEEDS GO GO NOW Changed several features of the Japanese torpedo bombers. Now, if during the preparation for the attack, the attack group maneuvers, your aim will not stabilize (aiming cone stops narrowing). And when maneuvering during an attack run - begins to widen. In order to carry out an effective attack, you need to preemptively choose the line of attack and try not to make last-minute maneuvers.

    I just dont get why they've screwed with the aiming mechanics so drastically after such a short time. CV play was actually fun for once, being able to drop fewer torps, but have 2-3 goes at it, was fun. It was actually engaging, it required skill. Yet after this ill conceived nerf to the aiming cone for TBs its IMPOSSIBLE to approach even the slowest dumbest ship and aim a torpedo... even the slightest twitch of the aim during the final run causes the pilots to go into some kind of spasm, where they lose all motor functions and pretty much blackout for 5 seconds... or so it seems!!! you've given cv captains more of a first person view on the action, and then you penalise them for adapting to it. I'd rather go back to the old top down map view pre patch cv days than this hotfix crap , it is a JOKE. REMOVE IT!!!!

    totally agree with all that, especially the 4 minute cooldown on guns, its literally a joke now, the hotfix needs to be removed PDQ, especially the cone expansion when turning. sometimes the only way of hitting a target is to make last minute changes... we are flying planes ffs, they are manoeuvrable so shouldnt suffer aiming problems just because you turn!!!! imagine if your gun dispersion increased just because you had the audacity to track the target!!!!! joke.

    the torpedo bomber hotfix is a joke, its hard enough as it is to just approach an enemy ship without losing half your planes, then you have to try and guess where he's going, and now you cant even make fine adjustments during the final run without the cone expanding to a guaranteed miss, its like having a boat with a gun that never fires, its not fun and its not engaging if you cannot at least put some damage on boats anymore. Only the slowest most idiotic captain is going to stay on a particular line and speed long enough for us to drop torps on them now. Have you guys actually played on the live server as a cv ???
