WoWs 2nd Anniversary Achievements List
Bellegar replied to aboomination's topic in General Discussion
I found the Bismarck one to be rather easy. Get in, get focussed, burn to half health, retreat, heal up and play normal from then on. When close to dying, just gtfo and be a passive borderhugging ***hole. Yes the team will rage a bit, yes it's unsportsmanlike, but it gets the job done quite quickly. I did feel ashamed doing it though -
Warships 2nd Birthday Special [and Patch 06.10.1] - Lots of goodies
Bellegar replied to LilJumpa's topic in General Discussion
Well that's stupid. If they want to call it Blue Dragon flag, they should also change the ingame name. I understand calling it Dragon Flag can be confusing since there are different dragon flags, but the naming should at least be consistent. I think Yellow Dragon would be the most logical. @Sub_Octavian any thoughts on this? I mean, with my limited knowledge of game design/development, I would guess that changing a name wouldn't be a big issue. Edit: I just realised I could come across a bit agressive. By no means did I want to. The 'stupid' isn't meant as an insult, but more of an expression to voice my surprise about the inconsistancy of the signal flag names. -

I don't understand why they can't get their terminology together. They always say we get announcements late because they need to translate them...... much effort they put into that apparently, if they can't even use the correct term when it's clearly in game Still, no those are yellow with a greenish dragon. As far as I can see the Blue Dragon flags could be either the Hydra signal flag (blue flag, white hydra) or the Ouroboros flag (blue flag, yellow circular dragon) -
So I've just recently unlocked Friedrich der Große. And I suck with it. I just can't seem to make it work. I can't hit sh*t, I can't survive properly and I lose almost everything (makes sense since my team is basically 11vs12). I've had fun playing Bismarck and Tirpitz, and my stats in those were not bad either. But the Freddy is just terrible for me. And it's not that I'm not used to T9 games, since I do own Missouri and I enjoy playing that as well as I'm doing decent in her. So.... how do I play the Freddy? I need advice. The playstyle I'm giving her clearly isn't working out for me. I tend to get close and brawl (secondary specced captain btw), and while that worked for Bismarck and Tirpitz, somehow I get deleted in the Friedrich when I push. So I can't use the playstyle I used for Bismarck and Tirpitz on the Friedrich. I need to adapt, but I don't know how. And I can't even hit a barn from the inside with those guns. So I badly need some help.... how to play this ship properly? It's all stock at the moment btw. I'm saving the free XP for Nelson, so I'm trying to make the stock ship work, but I'm failing miserably

That thread was golden @Aotearas Guess I do owe you that kiss though @Tyrendian89 <3 I only had time to play one game after your post, but it wasn't bad (notice the secondary kill right after you guys talked me out of secondary build ) Not the best, but certainly not bad (top xp earner of the team) and I had fun Maybe it was one lucky game (finally), and I had a bit of luck with MM, but if I can have more of this I will be one happy cap It did give me enough of a boost to continue working on that ship. I'll try to be a bit more patient with pushing, and maybe it will eventually all come together and I'll start doing this a bit more often. Thanks a lot for all your good advice guys

Right...... completely missed that Fixed the link, thx. You're right, it was ugly as hell. Are you sure? I mean, it feels so bad. But that may also be because it's still stock and I'm used to Missouri. No idea where whis brainfart came from. I remember getting excited for this because reload is important and turret traverse isn't (well not to that extend). So I was once aware of how this works...... but I guess my brain melted away during summer break. Will change this asap Edit: in hindsight I think I know what happened. I guess I just confused it with Main Battery Mod 2 Not that this is any less stupid.... Well.... maybe the reload was just the right fix I was looking for. With more shells in the air, each miss does indeed matter less. Alright, I'm gonna give it another go. Thanks Tyrendian, you were a great help in that one game we met, and now again And if it turns out you actually managed to get me to make the ship work and maybe even like it, you'll be my hero and I will kiss you <3

Hope this is how it works.... http://bit.ly/2f9hdWk This is my kinda general build. But I'm gonna ditch damage control for the extra rudder shift. Usually I'm more annoyed by fires and floodings so I tend to take damage control, but ths thing just won't turn. On other ships I can manage the rudder shift, but damn the Friedrich does really need it. And I refuse to take Main Battery Mod 3 with it's increased loading time, extra range is not really needed (I think stock range is a bit lacking, but you won't hit anything anyways, so no need for upgrading it. Unlocking the next Flight Control System upgrade should be sufficient) so I'm okay with going for secondaries in that slot. I'm aware you lose utility with a full secondary specced ship and captain, but on the other ships of the line it was fun, so I could live with it. BTW, I've barely used the secondaries on Friedrich yet because I couldn't get into range. I'm not going on a suicide push just to get the secondaries off, so they remain silent most of the time. I'm a little hesitant to respec the captain, because I enjoyed that build on the other ships and I'm of the opinion that this build should be workable on Friedrich as well. Maybe I'm stubborn, but as a player I think I should be good enough to make that build work for this ship as well.... But my main issue is the guns. I literally only get misses and overpens. If you live long enough, even overpens can get you to 60k damage, but still, that's not really a lot in a T9 BB. In my mind, I'm aiming just the same way as I used to do with Bismarck (and when rage quitting Friedrich and going for a Tirpitz game with the same mindset, it suddenly works ), but somehow it just doesn't work. Does this ship require different aim? A different mindset regarding the guns? I'm kind of okay with the fact I can't play this ship to its full potential. As long as I'm having fun I don't really care. I can live with the loss of utility and survivability by speccing for secondaries. I can live with the bad rudder shift. I can live with the 'always spotted' syndrome of a non Concealment Expert BB. But I just can't live with the guns. Those misses and overpens just take all the fun away, it's frustrating beyond any belief. Which is also weird, because I had no issues with all other ships of the line. Bayern, Gneisenau, Bismarck, Tirpitz.... they're all inaccurate, but I had no problem with that, I could make it work. But not anymore in the Freddy Does some of this get remedied by upgrading the hull? Or is it just a case of git gud? Anyways, thanks for the replies guys. Much appreciated For now I'm gonna push forward on the way I'm going and hoping I'll get used to the ship. But I'm seriously considering respeccing the captain since I'm not using the secondaries much anyways, even if that means saying byebye to my beloved secondary TIrpitz fun. btw, I hope you don't think I'm too stubborn I am, to certain extend, but I will listen to good advice

It's weird. I've played Kurfürst some games on the PT and I quite liked it. I can brawl, but also the main guns don't suck so hard (at least for me....). But there's none of that with Friedrich. I enjoyed Bismarck/Tirpitz, and the few games I played on PT I also enjoyed Kurfürst. But it's like there is a deep black abyss of doom that's called Friedrich der Große in between

No this is NOT worth it. I would rather meet a bot once in every ten games than being required to pass some stupidity called captcha before every single game. If this makes it into the game, I'm out. I want to play a game, not torture myself with this nonsense EVERY..... SINGLE...... TIME..... I want to play a game

As somebody who's interested in historical/political tidbits, what's weird with Duca's flag? And what's more sensible about this one? -
Lol way to go WG! So every single issue that gets reported for the first time is automatically discarded as nonsense because there haven't been reports of it in the past? In that case I'd say try to get some CMs involved, maybe they can help you out or tell support to do their job and at least look into it. I mean, IF you still have some sort of receipt, it shouldn't be a difficult matter at all.....
-
If you bought a container, you should have a receipt right? As far as I know, that container is guarenteed to give you a collection item. Just tell them that. Say you bought a container and thus you MUST have had at least one item.

That post I admire your memory...... can I have some? On this forum, filled with gents, we love all waifus

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
Bellegar replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Just saw @Tyrendian89 in his Conqueror on the enemy team. He was second, only after his division mate, so I'm guessing he had quite a good game I, on the other hand, didn't. I failed miserably in the Friedrich. Somehow I just can't get those guns to work Nothing personal Tyrendian, but I'm gonna deny the existence of that game. Yes, that's how bad I did (thx for the advice on the Friedrich btw ) -
Yeah I agree, those new graphics are really nice And yes, seeing this thread title posted by you, I also expected a thread about detonations....... Which begs the question: Did the new graphics of detonations get you to like them more now? Or hate them less?
-
No you should consider the issues fixed (well, apart from the division issue some people are having....)

Nice gesture, thanks

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
Bellegar replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
After seeing everybody else's reaction I guess I'm just very weird but I actually like this. It's the same kind of hilarious beyond belief as the Stars and Stripes Texas. It's just so over the top it's funny Giulio Cesare...... instabuy when unbundled <3 -
Yeah it looks veeery pretty I've signed up for beta too. Maybe we'll meet there soonTM But yeah maybe I should stop advertising other games here. Also, sorry for hijacking the thread
-
Of course it's much worse, they've never played the game before. But apparently you don't want new players to join the game ever? The game should be only for you and the people you allowed and it should never be promoted by any press?
-
I can't speak for @Babykim of course, but I am looking forward to Skull and Bones, even though it's from Ubisoft. Not sure if that's already in alpha test though.....

I kind of agree with you. The drama is finished, so should the forum. But you gotta admit, this one is quite spot on. The longer I was reading, the bigger the smile became
