Is it possible to start hsf collection without having one of the 4 hsf ships?
Bellegar replied to Favuz's topic in General Discussion
Same for me.... Are we both missing something or might there just be some delay in processing the container? -
Only the first two emblem tiers are for T8+ ships. For the third tier emblem you need T9+ and the final one is T10 only. You need to average the specified amount of damage (108k for the highest BB one) over the last 100 games (they start counting now, so you need 100 games to begin with). You are then granted the emblem, so you can select the emblem instead of a patch. Emblems are NOT ship specific, but tied to your profile. So yes, you can earn the Elite BB one in a Kurfürst, then select the emblem in your profile and club low tiers with a Katori, all the while showing off the Elite BB emblem when you kill seals. But remember the emblem (just like patches) is NOT visible on your ship. It's only visible in your profile, while hovering over players in the battle loading screen and team panels, and your victim sees your emblem or patch after you killed him. That's it, it's not visible in any way on the ship.

Roma - please change the Kobayashi camo, before it's too late

I'm also a fan of London Pride and Guinness. Though calling Guinnes UK is kind of heresy -

You do know that Amstel is owned by Heineken right? I think it's even more disgusting. It's like they brew it with water taken straight from the Amstel river Best Dutch beer -> La Trappe, though I also like my fair share of Belgians. I cannot agree more with this -
There are only two solutions to this MM problem. either +/-1 MM, won't happen because WG goes MUH BATTLE VARIATION and TOO FEW PLAYERS (well, ever wondered why there are so little players then??) rework tiers. And I mean REALLY rework tiers. It will never happen because it means developing a new game, but I'm still a big fan of 15 tiers. It makes progression much smoother, it gives ships like Mikasa a role, it gives more importance to WW1 ships (instead of just skipping past them to T4 in a few games) and it makes for a lot less butthurt since differences between tiers are way smaller. You should see it this way: old stock hull Fuso on a tier, upgraded hull Fuso a tier higher. CVs would also be introduced a lot higher up the tree as well, so they would actually meet AA ships, instead of poor stock Myogi. (could also bring back manual torp for all CVs) Both of these will never happen (I can understand the second part not happening tho), so were are stuck with option 3: git gud at being bottom tier. (yeah I know, some ships are almost impossible to play bottom tier, like T8 CV in T10 games where everybody sticks together. That's why we need either option of those two)

LOL I should start paying more attention to the way I get killed

WG started banning people using mods from the forum (From Reddit)
Bellegar replied to Aragathor's topic in General Discussion
Because the game is good but the devs are stupid? Seriously though, some features should be ingame since the beginning. And the devs have shown that they are actually implementing some mods. Smoke timer, ship names on minimap, transparant minimap, radar and sonar circles on minimap. Things like improved chat and the active consumables should be ingame too, and I think they will be implemented eventually, like those mods before. At the same time, player panels won't be included in the game I think. Simply because there's so many different opinions on them. Some people want huge amounts of information, some (like me) only want the name and tier of the ship in an understandable way (not the stupid silhouette that's vanilla). But while they are advantages, they are not unfair advantages. All that information can be gathered from paying attention and communication. Yeah I know, communication in an online game But still, on the moments it matters (competitive play), communication levels will naturally be better already. I know I always inform the team when I use sonar/radar. Why play you ask? Because I enjoy playing the game. It's good. It has been better (closed beta relict here ), but I still enjoy playing the game. Then why use mods you ask? Because the devs can't make the game perfect for me. Well they can, but then other people will get annoyed. It's the simple principle of human taste, everybody likes something else. So Lesta can't make it perfect for me. Neither can mods. But mods can help make it a little bit closer to perfect. So why not use them? Edit: damn you Leo, you beat me to it again But now that you mention it, the smoke circle mod originated as a mod made by a dev. So, at that time, using that mod WAS playing the game as the dev intended.... I know, I'm stretching it a bit here, but the principle stands. There's a pack of mods made available by WG. Some mods were/are made by devs. What's so wrong with using them? By some way of looking at it, it IS playing the game as (at least one of) the devs intended -
Aftvent SC hype: what did you get?
Bellegar replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
100 Zulu flags (that makes 780 of those), and 50 Gamescom camos (that makes 113 of those) Oh well, at least I'm grateful it isn't another Spotter plane module -

Bellegar replied to Aragathor's topic in General Discussion
Well, @Leo_Apollo11 beat me to it Only reason Monstro is banned is indeed because it uses a script that WG does not allow to be used. IF the author updates it, it should be back in a moment, since it's apparently easy to update. And it only showed consumables on friendlies. Fire and flooding was the only thing it showed about enemies. It made it slightly easier to see when damage control was used (especially agains flooding) and time the hellfire And of course the sonar/radar on friendlies so you would not waste your own -

They have. According to this statement not so long ago, all mods from the mod section on the official forums are safe for use. Both WG's own modpack and Aslain's are in there. IF there is something wrong with Aslain's, or the mod detection, all Aslain users should get warnings. As long as that's not happening, that reddit poster is either crying for attention, an idiot for not understanding what's going on, or a liar. Place your bets ladies and gentlemen (my bet is option 2 ) -

But why would a Tirpitz driver look at the minimap? Didn't he just pay €60 so he could be lazy and let the AI secondaries do all the work? -

Oh right, I also use that chat mod yeah. That's really one I cannot do without. I NEED the chat mod and team panels mod (using Panzerschiffer..... don't want too many information clutter up there, just ship icons that are identifyable ) -

The "get rid of Steven Seagull voice" mod On a serious note, I mainly use quality of life mods, such as historical flags, skins, better ships on carrousell (I also used Monstro markers to not waste radar/sonar, but that's illegal now), stuff like that. It's in no way mandatory, but it really helps me enjoy the game more. -
I've been using Amagi and having a blast with it. I'm on 62% winrate and most of the losses without losing a star. Really enjoying this season with Amagi, and the extra heal you occasionally get from Yamamoto helps as well But I may be biased, since Amagi is also my favourite T8 BB in randoms (those guns <3 )

Meh not buying this. I've been using Aslain's for ages and never had a problem. IF there even is an issue with Aslain's here, all users should be detected, and I'm not. I wish that guy all the best with his appeal, but I don't think WG is at fault here. Doesn't take away the fact that a clear policy would prevent a lot of confusion (yes I know there was a statement lately about "all forum mods are safe". But a transcript with allowed mod names would be best) -
It's even worse.... I couldn't think of a low tier US ship with small guns (other than Sampson, but didn't want to mention that since OP is past Sampson if he has Wickes), so I actually went ingame and looked in the tech tree. Clicked on Chester and saw 127 mm guns, so I mentioned that. You see, I quite tought this through. It's just that my brain completely ignored the fact that a centimeter lower, the upgraded guns say 152 mm Definately need more coffee

Feedback: Remove detonations. It's already a terrible game mechanic in randoms, but in any form of competitive play it really has no place at all. *POOF* 1/7 of the ships gone (that's 14%!!) in an instant just because RNG said so. If it's a full health BB it might well be more than 1/7 of the hp and firepower of the team that instantly vanishes. This kind of RNG has no place in game modes about skill. It's bearable in randoms since it's kinda rare and those are... well... randoms.... Ranked is supposed to be all about skill. RNG on regular gun shots is plenty RNG, no need for more, especially the kind of RNG that f*ck up the teams balance as much as a detonation. And before you all blame me for ranting, no I haven't been detonated in ranked play. Ever. I've seen it happen though, mostly on enemy teams. Even then it's unsatisfying and stupid.

Yeah I just realised this after writing that Couldn't think of another ship so quickly.... need more coffee

Was the captain retrained for the other ships? If not, that's probably it. A captain trained for Wickes, but placed in Chester for example, will not, or only partially give the reload boost from BFT until the captain is fully retrained for Chester.

Congrats to all winners. And a huge thank you to @lup3s for organising, and of course also a thank you to all prize donators Get well soon Lupes, good health to you

Yeah but Project R didn't last as long because the event started earlier. For GNB I remember spending a few hours lurking that thread Those poor working minions came back home after work and found 15 pages of hype build images and gifs

Is it possible for the Missouri to come back in the future?
Bellegar replied to Renegade334_S7's topic in General Discussion
I don't think so. The arrival of Musashi can be postponed of course, but I don't think they'll delay the removal of Missouri. That was quite an explicit statement they made. Only real option to postpone Missouri's removal would be to delay patch 0.7.2 by a few months -
LOL of course it's all fine. Lupes musn't hurry, the giveaway has grown quite out of hand, so it will probably take a bit more time than he anticipated when starting it. Even if it takes a week, fine by me. I won't die over it. But in the meantime we can build the hype train ourselves, can't we? Reminds me of the GNB hype where the whole forums waited since morning because WG didn't specify the event's starting time
