From what I've seen from you in this thread, I don't think you're doing anything wrong really. I think (as others have said) that you just advanced a bit too quick in the tiers. Hang back a bit (don't sell the Fletcher, you'll need it back eventually!), play the lower tiers. Try to start some other ship lines that interest you (of whatever class suits you) and, when you're more experienced, come back to the Fletcher and I think you'll do much better. Simply because you've learnt more and because you'll be playing more intelligently (not saying you're dumb! I just mean to say your knowledge will grow with experience/battles played).

I know, but then I still see them. I don't mind them being girls or bears, I mind them being there at all. Doesn't matter if they look like IJN captains, they'll just be cluttering the screen as well. True, but I have the captains sitting on the ships they 'belong'. For example. the Kongo captain girl is sitting on Kongo. The Hiei girl is on Hiei etc. I don't really care for anime, but when I'm playing an ARP ship (I sometimes club seals in Kongo clones ), I 'need' the proper voice in my ears, even though I would never know it if the 'wrong' voice was yelling to me. It's a matter of principle. I know, it's OCD But that means that with 7 ARP ships, I need to scroll past 7 captains each time I want my main IJN cap to change to another ship, which happens quite often for me. All the while I've actually hidden ARP ships. I've hidden the ships, so I don't have to scroll past them all the time. That same filter should also hide the captains on those ships. (I only use the port filter btw, I still see them in game and I don't mind that) And besides all that, I have 3 Hiei captains (is it Hiei? the red-ish one), and I believe 2 of all the others.... there's no need for that, they need to go.

I only ever use the reserve/barracks to switch my captain from premium ship to silver ship via the "captain from other ship" tab. And for some reason Ryo Matsumoto (my IJN main cap) is always at the bottom of the list, so it's a pain to scroll through the clutter from all those ARP girls (and that one very very evil teddy bear). I don't mind ARP things being in the game, I even like some of the ships too, but I have always been looking forward to the day I can dismiss all those unwanted captains that constantly clutter my screen when I want to move the IJN cap from Amagi to whatever premium I like using

I am already opposed to detonations in randoms, but they REALLY must be removed in any competitive form. Such a randon screw you moment has no place in Ranked and any other competitive play (King of the Seas TTT anyone? ). In competitive play people should lose because the enemy played better, not because RNGsus decided to remove a full hp ship from the game sometimes without even being hit (yay HE spash damage )

What?! WHAAAAT?!?! For me it's completely the opposite. I love my heavy hitters, preferably with more than 10% even. Everything with less than 7% is pisswater. Although, according to my best friend, my problem is that I drink 10% beers with the speed with which 'normal' people drink 4% beers (NO!
