Exept for cruisers, no, there is no difference between Asashio torps and Pan Asian torps. For battleships, both will have the triangle with a line above it. For destroyers, both will be indicated by a dot (and sometimes the bugged torp alarm sound). Only cruisers will see a difference. They'll see Asashio torps as a dot (they can't hit cruisers), but they will see regular Pan Asia torps as the triangle with line (as they can hit cruisers). And of course normal torps are indicated as triangles for everybody. Edit: and of course just after writing that I remembered Wilkatis made a schematic for this. So here's the quote: Left is what all regular torps look like to everybody. Middle is what Pan Asia deep water torps look like for battleships and cruisers, and what Asashio torps look like for battleships and carriers only. Richt is what Pan Asia deep water torps look like for destroyers only, and what Asashio torps look like for cruisers and destroyers.

I tell you that I do, and I don't see a reason why I would lie about that. In fact, in my line of work people tend to get lynched for lying. I think for this one you might want to contact support. WG won't remove the penalty (don't think they can), but they might improve the system for it.

This is a thread from an OP that made a mistake, admits he made that mistake (which is so rare on these forums we actually should applaud him for it), and posts here in a nice and civil attitude to warn other not to make the same mistake. And how do you go from "I didn't read the forums" to "I'm a new player that started playing the game yesterday and bought a premium T8 DD"? Did it ever occur to you that not every single player is lingering on the forums the entire day? Did it ever occur to you that even regular forumites might be on a holiday or have real life stuff so they'd miss some threads? And nobody in this thread claimed Asashio is a bad ship. Nobody. So next time you make a rude post that lashes out at an OP, I'd advise you to actually read the thread you're posting in. Makes you look less of an a$$. Oh, and if you're not sure what the point of a thread is, don't post at all.

Well I've been trying to find this for a long time. I tried hovering over the Free XP in the first screen, but that doesn't do anything. For some reason I never thought of it to also try it in the detailed screen

Are you aware you always have the right to appeal? Probably too late now, but maybe it'll be usefull for next time (hope it doesn't come tho). You can ask the mod involved for an appeal, and he then should give you the name of the "boss of mods". My appeal was a year ago, so I'm not sure if the "boss" changed, but it was Abcioo at that time. You could just PM him.

Well, I think I'd have to agree with @KarmaQU_EU on this one. Yes, he has left us (), but that shouldn't matter. We can still see his posts, and (especially newcomers, who wouldn't know him) would still see the Quality Poster Badge next to his guides. I think it still has added value for those new players to see that what he writes/wrote is of good quality.

I think the system is just very strict on repeat offenders. I just shot a friendly Bismarck that I thought had already passed with 1 or 2 Amagi shells. Didn't turn pink, didn't get a penalty.

To be fair to @MrConway though (really, who would have thought I would ever say this ), that was probably some Mod's doing. And.... well.... our mods tend to be.... erratic

Well, I don't really switch consumables. As soon as I buy a ship, as part of all the set up things I set the consumables to premium for credits. It's actually quite efficient the way it is now... you move your cursor on the little arrow to turn it into credits, click on the credits and immediately click again to 'confirm' the premium consumable. I think it's easier than hovering over to the premium consumable, clicking on that, accepting the warning it will use doubloons (which does not turn up my way!) and then having to hover over again to make it credits. But most importantly, I like the UI clean. And as little space those checkboxes add, it's still a little extra space that's unneeded in my opinion.

I got torped by a friendly yesterday (I genuinely believe it was an accident, what triggered me was he didn't apologise) But he didn't turn pink. So, as @TigerMoth already said, there's more to your story. You sir, are apparently a repeat offender (not nessecarily for team damage, but maybe for afk or quitting battle too early). So no, the system is not too harsh. WG did very good with designing this system.

Honest answer? B, especially for the consumables. I agree with the original argument about the signals. But come on, those drop down arrows for consumables are everywhere. I mean, how the f*ck do you not know what it means ^ That is part of my internet browser. So you guys have absolutely no clue wat that little downward triangle means? Here's another one: Also part of my internet browser. Still no idea what it does? There should really be boxes and everything around it before you realise what it is? Are you guys really going to tell me that you cannot cope with this form of UI? I'm sorry, but the meaning of that downward arrow/triangle is as whidespread and clear as the × in the top right of the screen to close the window. It's even clearer than the - to make the window go to task bar. For the other arguments, I agree fully with what @El2aZeR, @ColonelPete and @_Helmut_Kohl_ already said. At least for consumables, there are so many indicators you're going to spend doubloons, that it's only because of ignorance or stupidity that you got 'scammed' of your doubloons. Edit: and before somebody accuses me of white knighting WG, check my post history or ask MrConway or Tuccy.... I'm not exactly known for kissing WG's a$$. I'm usually quite critical on them, so that accusation wouldn't really work.
